I stared at the tall building in front of me. Although I was married for a long time, I had only twice come to his workplace of my own accord and looked closely at the building. I was too preoccupied with my thoughts that wanted to immediately run away from Hendra's side whenever we were together in this place.
Papa has done such an amazing thing that his small efforts could be this big. I'm sure Hendra will be able to continue in his own way. What about our son later? I rubbed my stomach as my little one kicked as if knowing I was thinking about it. I will help my husband prepare him to be a great leader.
“Good day, Mahendra,” greet a security guard who opened the car door for me. I returned the greeting, then he escorted me to the executive elevator. I didn't have an identification, so he helped me by scanning his identification card in the elevator.
“Good day, Bu.” Sherry stood up to welcome me. “Mother didn't say it was coming, so I don't welcome Mom under.”
“It's okay. Hendra is inside?”
“Iya, Mom. Come, come with me.” He knocked on the door and did not wait until my husband answered. He opened the door. “Pak, no Mahendra.”
“Thank you,” I said as she gave way for me to enter the room.
“Sayang?” Hendra. He kissed my hair, then took me to the sofa. “Sherry, cancel all my promises this afternoon.” His secretary according. His attitude is now very different from my previous arrival.
“You didn't say you were coming here. What's up?” hendra asked after we sat next to her on the sofa. I picked up the bag I was carrying.
“I brought you lunch.” I looked towards the door. “Is it okay for you to cancel your promise? I can come next time. I just spontaneously wanted to meet you here.”
“It's okay. If I have an appointment with someone important, he will coordinate with Papa's secretary. Usually Papa is not as busy as I am, so he can replace me.” Hendra took the bag I was carrying and opened it. “You brought anything?”
Since we were just the two of us, we were not awkward to chat while enjoying our meal. Sometimes I feed him food because he is not used to eating with his left hand. He smiled at me.
“When can this cast be opened? I think you've been wearing it for a long time.” I looked towards his right hand. He gave me his empty box.
“The plan is at the end of next month,” he replied.
“Please be well. I don't like to see you hurt like this.” I put all the boxes back in his bag, and put them on the table.
“Iya.” He caressed my cheek with his left hand. “How is your book progressing? Is there any news from the publisher?”
“My work is in the queue. Officially, at the earliest, my book will be in mass print by the middle of next year. So, he asked me to be patient before publishing the print edition. They still choose a suitable cover image.” I told a long story. “After the cover is decided, I can start the initial promotion.”
“Publishing a book with a major publisher does take a long time. But why is Rasmi involved in your book publishing business? He's a deputy director, doesn't he have any more important business?” asked Hendra confused. I said my mouth couldn't believe it. “What? You decided to sign a contract with that publisher and you don't know who the deputy director is?”
“A-me ... how can I know? Anyway I just need to know who my editor is. You know I'm weak in remembering people's names so I didn't find out about the publisher's leadership structure belonging to the Official family,” I explained at length. He smiled meaningfully.
“Iya. My new story is almost over. But some readers asked me to add a few more chapters. They have not wanted to part with his character.” I sighed softly.
“The book is yours. You decide the plot, the story, even the end. Just do what you think is good. I want to read it. Send the link to me so I can read it after I finish,” he said. I look at him with pleasure.
“You will give your opinion as in the first book, ‘kan?” askaku expectantly.
“I promise.” And I believe in that word. “You should not force yourself when writing. Rest when you are tired or sleepy.”
“Iya, Papa,” I replied half teasingly. He looked at me for a moment before hugging me and kissing me mercilessly. I kissed her with pleasure. “Do you have any more business after this?”
“No. I'll go straight home.” I try to catch my breath hunting. He even made my efforts go to waste by kissing me again.
“You need to learn how to manage your breath well, baby. I told you, breathe with your nose and don't panic. I'm not going anywhere,” he said on the sidelines of his kiss. I ignored his taunts and kissed him as I pleased. He even laughed.
As he lifted my body to sit on his lap, my heart jumped happily. We won't end our kiss for a while. I enjoyed every touch, caress and kiss. It's been a long time since we've had this kind of fun.
“I'd love to continue this but I still have a lot of work, Za.” Hendra kept his face away from me. I opened my eyes and looked at his face. Yeah, God. I love her so much.
“I understand.” I stroked her cheek and kissed her lips. He smiled as he helped me to stand up.
We joined hands as we walked out of the room. He told me that he would be home on time and there was no dinner appointment. My head immediately turned to think about what menu I should prepare for dinner later.
The security guard who helped me open the car door for me. I thank him. Hendra gave me the bag containing our lunch. He kissed me once more before looking towards Liando.
“Be careful driving,” he said in a serious tone.
“Good, Sir,” replied Liando according.
Hendra closed the door, I waved my hand at him. He's avenging my wave. As the car moved, I kept looking at him. She laughs. I waved my hand one last time before Liando walked out of the courtyard of the office building.
We'll be fine, ‘kan? I hope so. I would do anything to keep our relationship from ending. Late or not, I will try until Hendra can forgive me and accept me as completely as before.
I rubbed my stomach. Thank you, Son. Since knowing that you are a man, your father's attitude changed drastically. This kid is the greatest gift I've ever received. Woman or man, Hendra will still love him. But he certainly hopes for the boys because he will be his successor to lead our family company.
