The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 237 - Bringing the Plan

Oh, dearGod. The mayor must have felt desperate to do all this. Unsuccessfully ending my husband's life, he tried to eliminate evidence of his corruption. But why is he after Hendra's office? Does he think my husband is that stupid to keep valuable evidence in his office?

I looked up at the painting of our family on the wall behind his chair. Behind the painting is an iron vault, as well as behind a closet in the wardrobe in our room. If the letter was not in both vaults, then all the evidence was safe in Irwan's hands.

“He must have gotten more reckless after not opening that safe,” I told Zach. He's nodding.

“Even if bombed, the safe will not be able to open if he does not know the combination and special keys stored by Brother Hendra.” Zach gave me a chocolate envelope.

“What is this?” many confused.

“Tipan from Gista. Passport with VISA and flight ticket for Brother and family to London. He needs further instructions. Cancel or continue, please contact him as soon as possible,” said Zach. I'm nodding.

“Hadi is very hopeful with our departure this time. Colin is on vacation in America, we want him to be happy as well because he goes around Europe. As long as Hendra and Xavier were talking about business, he had already planned a train trip for me and the kids with Annora. Too bad.” I stared at the ticket before putting it back in the envelope.

“Kak Hendra recovers quickly, thank goodness he has healthy living habits. Brother don't worry. You will be able to vacation in the near future,” entertain Zach.

The door was knocked, we looked. I let him in, and Abdi told me that Hendra was coming down the stairs and refused his help.

“Let me alone,” said Zach who immediately stood up and walked out of the room. I looked at Mr. Oscar.

“So, we do as planned, Bu?” tanyakanya. I'm nodding.

“Give evidence of misappropriation of funds he did, then when his position was removed, file a claim for his involvement in my husband's accident,” I said closing our meeting.

We left the room because it was time for dinner. I looked up at the stairs where my husband was on Zach. I looked at his face well. He no longer had any trouble moving his legs. He did not look sick or exhausted. Maybe he had a hard time this afternoon because he had just finished therapy.

“You should leave your husband in a room with a dog. It turns out that there are two handsome men accompanying you here, his god”. He let out a sigh of relief while sitting on his wheelchair. “Hai, Oscar. Good news?”

“Good, Sir. What about you?”

“Bad. I did not expect to have an accident that made me become helpless like this.” Hendra laughed a little.

“You complained like this for sure because you were hungry. Come on, let's have dinner together,” take me while pushing the wheelchair.

Zach and Mr. Oscar walked in front of us. My sister went to the family room to call the children. I looked up when I felt Hendra holding my hand. She pulled my hand so I could come closer and kiss her lips.

“Is there nothing else in your head right now, hm?” I shakes in disbelief.

“Only you are in my head, baby,” he said seducing me. “This situation is fun too. I don't need to go to work, can rest, can be with you and the kids longer.”

“Do not make this an excuse not to get well soon,” I said reminded. She laughs.

We talked about safe topics when eating. There are children, so we avoid conversations that can lead to questions in their heads. Hendra asked what they were doing today, Zach and Mr. Oscar answered honestly.

He is confused when Zach mentions Gista's name, not Sherry's. My sister doesn't talk about the details, she just says that Sherry is no longer working at the company and that Gista is her secretary now. My husband nodded slowly.

I suspect. Are they maybe mayor's orders? Because it used to be so. Dicky and Nora paid the reporters to keep chasing the news from me, Hendra, and our family. Poor them. All day long waiting for the uncertain.

“Where are you going, baby?” asked Hendra as I walked towards the back of the house.

“Later too you will know.”

I saw Fahri storing food that we couldn't spend in plastic containers and labeling it. There are several food boxes made of paper in the cupboard. I picked up a few boxes and started filling them with rice, vegetables, and side dishes.

Seeing what I was doing, Fahri helped. All the containers were reopened. He even took food out of our show this afternoon and warmed it up. Once there is no food leftover that we can put in the next box, we add fruit and water in the packaging glass on the boxes.

I took some of those boxes with me. Hendra looked at me confusedly. He followed me to the terrace. Abdi immediately took over the food box I was holding. He won't let go until I give up. Then I let him take her.

I saw Sakti, Liando, and Fahri carrying the rest of the food box. I led them to the front gate. At my request, the security guard opened the gate. The men and women standing before me looked at me in confusion.

“Father and Mother, you must have been hungry and tired all day here. There's potluck food, who knows you haven't eaten. Please take it,” I said. They were stunned for a moment, then exchanged glances and whispered with the friend next to him.

Since they were not moving either, I entered the security post and asked for help to have the table set before the gate. “These men won't be strong enough to hold all this box rice any longer, so we just put it here. Happy dinner and good night.”

Hendra smiled as me and our workers walked back to the terrace. “That's a great idea. The food from the event was still a lot in the fridge. Now I don't have to worry about seeing you and the kids eating the same menu for the next few days.” I laugh.

While we were on the terrace, we saw them one by one approaching the table and picking up one of the rice boxes. When they had all landed a section, there were still a few boxes on the table. Thank goodness it was enough.

“What they haven't eaten, Ma?” ask Hadi who is standing by my side.

“Do not know, dear. But seeing them take the rice box, it looks like yes.” I looked towards him who was yawning slowly. “You're sleepy?” He's nodding.

Dira had already fallen asleep in the family room. They were busy playing with their friends this afternoon, deserved to be so sleepy. Yuyun helped me carry my daughter to her room, while I took Hadi upstairs.

Hendra was forced to accept Liando's help. I won't be able to help her before Hadi sleeps in her room. After helping my son change his clothes and waiting for him to finish brushing his teeth, I checked my daughter's condition. He's been sound in his bed.

My husband is now the third child who does not want to move himself from his chair to the bed. We brushed our teeth together in the bathroom, and then I helped her lie down.

“What's going on with you with Mama?” tanyakanya.

“My mom or your mama?” I asked back.

“My mother, dear,” answered. I put out the nightlight, then headed to the side where I was lying. It seemed like it was time for me to tell you about that painful incident.

“The story is long. You sure you can stay awake as long as I tell you what happened?” my many. He nodded quickly.

“Write,” his urges impatiently. I took a deep breath before starting to open my disgrace in the past. What will happen, will happen.
