The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 155 - A Long Holiday

“Mama! Bring Alra!” said Dira followed me to the kitchen.

“Dira, don't bother Mama. Follow Papa.” Hendra immediately held our daughter who even rebelled asking to be sent down.

“Mamaa!!” call him half crying. I don't know what's wrong with him today. We have spoken carefully and agree that Ara will not be with us while on vacation. He has been protesting since he woke up in the morning.

We'll travel far. We can carry pets on the flight but the hotel will not accept them. We could have rented an empty house or villa. The problem is, while on vacation, I do not want to trouble Fahri by coming with us to take care of food. He also deserves a leave of absence.

“Yuyun, this is an ATM card and a grocery list for Ara's needs. Don't forget to remind Liando to take him to the vet for a routine checkup. Call me immediately if you have any questions. Do not hesitate to buy your needs as long as we do not exist,”, I said giving instructions. The woman nodded.

“I can go home for three days to meet my family, Mistress?” tanyakanya.

“Don't I allow you? Just take from ATM how much you need for the cost of going home and buy something from us for your family.” I smiled at him.

“Good. Thank you, Mrs.” His face turned cheerful.

Liando and Sakti had already stuffed our luggage into the trunk of the car. Hadi waited in the car while hugging his backpack. My daughter is still crying asking Ara to come with us. Even his father could not persuade him. I took it from Hendra's arms and went back to talking seriously with him about our promise.

The trip to the airport was comfortable because my daughter was no longer crying. She hugs a rabbit doll given by Claudia that is always contested by Charlotte. He loved making his little friend jealous. Though they get the same doll just different colors of clothes.

Hendra asked me to go straight to the waiting room to follow the officer who would take us, while he checked in with the husbands. My friends arrived first and they immediately welcomed me.

“How's your nausea, Official? Will you be okay on the flight later?” ask me to see my sister-in-law who looks more and more beautiful days since her pregnancy.

“Don't worry, Brother. The doctor has allowed me to go and the nausea has been much reduced.” She smiled happily with her hands touching her stomach. I quickly brushed off the jealousy that had infiltrated my chest.

“I can't wait to get there!” claudia cried with pleasure.

“This is also my first visit. I never had a vacation because once I finished college, I immediately worked,”, he said. The two of them then engaged in a very interesting conversation.

I don't think I've seen my friends in a long time and talked to them this freely. The news about me hasn't completely subsided yet but there are no more reporters eyeing me or Hendra. This holiday is at once a celebration of our freedom from problems.

Almost all seats available in first class are filled by my entourage only. Dira and I sat together, while Hendra was with Hadi. Too bad, I couldn't be spoiled in my husband's arms for two hours of flight.

Arriving at Kualanamu International Airport, we did not have to bother thinking about transportation. Our line of signage is already welcoming when out of the arrival terminal by pulling our respective suitcases.

The husbands deliberately did not book a tourist bus or other type of mass transportation, so we could cross by car. After a long air journey continued with a longer road trip made us tired.

When I began to regret the trip, the driver offered to stop by the restaurant in an area called Pematang Siantar. In his opinion, the dumpling noodles in that place were famous for being very tasty. Of course we were curious.

When I finally tasted the food, he didn't overdo it. Tastes good. With a hungry stomach and not too hot weather, eating fruitful food is very delicious. We continued on with a full stomach and a better mood.

“Welcome to Parapat, Sir, Bu,” said the driver kindly. And the beautiful view of the lake greeted us as we looked to the right of the car.

This is not my first visit to the lake that occurred naturally due to the volcanic eruption. But its beauty never ceases to amaze me. Hadi who was awake also admired the view he saw.

“Can we swim there, Ma?” tanya Hadi enthusiastically.

“Can, darling. If you want, we can also take a boat, duck boat, speed boat, and others,” I replied remembering what I and Hendra had done when coming to this place.

When I arrived at the hotel, Hendra and I exchanged a glance. This was not the hotel we expected to be where we would stay. Friends were seen huddling in front of the hotel. We got out of the car and approached them to find out what happened.

“I don't want to stay at this hotel.” Claudia crossed her hands in front of her chest.

“I'm sorry, Mom. But we did not receive any details regarding the inn. So we assumed that you would like to stay here,” said one of the drivers. Lindsey helped translate it.

“We're on vacation to the lake. We had to stay at a hotel near the lake. Not on a hill like this,” protests Claudia.

“What other hotels are full so we can not go there?” asked Hendra trying to find a solution. “I clearly told you that we will stay at a hotel by the lake in the Tuktuk area. Therefore I'm confused we didn't cross by ship.”

They apologized for the misunderstanding, then let us get back in the car. I wish we were on the boat enjoying the wind in the middle of the lake, which happens instead we have to turn again to go to the port.

We were lucky that we only had to wait about fifteen minutes before the ship came to take us across. Hendra and Edu went to the counter to buy a ticket. We stood outside the car to stretch after a long period of sitting during the trip.

Not many people crossed with us. Benefits of vacationing on weekdays. I started to like my husband's habits. The trip was also smooth without encountering traffic like when we came together to this place on weekends.

“Clarissa?” claudia looked behind me. It was the name of his grandson who was lost in the accident. There's no way that little girl could be here. I turned my head in the direction he saw and did not see any girl with the same physical features as the girl there.

“Sayang?” ask Mason. Claudia took her hands off her husband's. He immediately ran over while calling out his grandson's name. “Claudia!”

Me and my friends ran after him. But my steps stopped. I looked towards the person holding my arm. “Honey, you can't run. Remember your condition,” said Hendra who looked at me with a paled face.

Oh. I forget. My bleeding has stopped after the abortion, not that I can carelessly treat my body. I saw my friends turn to follow where Claudia was going. The distance between Jakarta and Parapat is not close. How could Clarissa who had an accident with her parents in Jakarta even be here? Could it be him? Could my son's future wife really be in this place?
