The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 200 - Punishment

Zach looked at me and at that second I understood the problem he was referring to. “What Brother Ara has done can no longer be tolerated. He did not care about the safety of his soul nor the children. Fortunately, Nora was carrying a knife, not a gun. With the lifestyle of those who are used to playing rough, I'm sure he can get the weapon if he wants.”

He looked towards Hendra. “Sister can't praise him and say that the thing he did was proud. We've discussed this and we agreed to find another way out. We're so close to our plan to send him to jail.”

“I know. I understand your anger. Trust me. My wife will get the punishment for her carelessness today.” Hendra looked at me seriously. I swallowed heavily. “But we cannot deny that his stubbornness has also helped us catch Nora and put an end to all this drama.”

“I'd rather ask Zeph to obey my words than to expect my own brother to think about his safety.” He was still complaining.

Satisfied with my scolding, Zach and Mr. Oscar finally resigned to continue their work, while Hendra finished his work at home. He entered his study, so I decided to look at the children. It turned out that Yuyun and Sakti accompanied them to play in Hadi's room. They took a shower and changed clothes.

I accompanied them to play until we got off for dinner. Hendra also took a shower and changed clothes. Will, who came to pick up Colin and dined with us, reminded my husband of our double date on Saturday. I laughed hearing that.

“What punishment have you prepared for me?” I asked when we were in the room. She was sitting staring at her tablet screen when I just came out of the bathroom.

“The thing you don't like the most in this world,” he replied casually. I thought for a moment.

“Jogging?” I guessed the meaning. He smiled meaningfully.

“Kids will come with Zach and his family to the zoo on Saturday, how about we watch and then have lunch together at one of the malls?” his proposal. I tried to digest that sentence. What punishment did he mean?

“We watched and had lunch together? That's the penalty?” my question does not understand.

“Don't tell Zach or he'll fast talk to me for an entire week. I need him as my legal advisor. His silent attitude could put the company in big trouble.”

“Thank you, baby!!” I immediately jumped in his arms. He laughed happily. I kissed her whole face.

“That's not the actual punishment, dear.” His eyes glinted cunningly. I looked at him confused. As his hand went between my pajamas to stroke my back skin, I reflexively moved away from him. “Are you ready to receive your punishment?”

You evil husband, no feelings, cold-hearted. He turned my mind around with a watch call so I wouldn't be suspicious of his true intentions. Of course the thing I hate the most in this world is wanting it but not being able to make love to it. He kissed me, touched all the sensitive spots on my body, and let me suffer without letting go.

“I hate you so much, Hendra,” said I could only lie on my back staring at the ceiling of the room. My whole body was screaming in protest for not getting what it wanted.

The next morning I jogged with my family without complaining. I laughed to see a very happy Ara running by our side. He was already twenty-three weeks old, so his body was already close to reaching its maximum growth. He can no longer carry us.

He still often jumped at me, but not at the children. Hendra had already taught him that he was no longer a little puppy. His body while standing alone was already taller than Dira. Instead, he was now a protector to his two little masters.

The neighbors love him too. They had always surrounded him just to be able to stroke his delicate golden hair. Ara liked attention, so she barked happily whenever she got a sweet treatment from the people around her.

On the other hand, his nature that likes attention is a challenge in itself. Every time we went out for most of the day, he would sulk in his bed and would not come at all let alone welcome our return. Hendra's considering finding one more dog as his friend, I object.

Having just one pet dog has caught our attention, let alone two. Had we got a male dog, things could have gotten worse. If they breed, I won't be able to take care of them all. The Golden Retriever is a breed of dog that needs a lot of affection and I don't have that right now. The kids need our attention too.

Coming home from Papa and Mama's house that afternoon, I saw several cars parked in the yard. My friends didn't say they were coming to visit. Abdi who greeted me at the door told me that they had only arrived about ten minutes ago.

“Finally, she came too!” welcome Qiana who smiled meaningfully. I looked at them one by one in confusion. “Why didn't you say anything to us and let us know last night's events from the news?”

Ooo. They come to find out that Nora was arrested. Not that I don't want to or remember telling them. Since last night I had no chance to hold a cell phone and momentarily send a message or call.

“I'm sorry. Yesterday's incident happened very quickly and I didn't have time to check my phone let alone tell you what had happened.” I sat down on the couch and thanked her when Lindsey gave me a cup of tea.

“What happened? How can Nora be charged with attempted murder? Did he hurt you?” ask Darla to worry. He looked at my body carefully.

“Please, don't upset me. Hendra and Zach are enough to give me a headache, I don't want to hear you guys do the same thing,”. They exchanged looks.

“I won't promise not to be mad at you. Your husband never gets angry at you who he loves so much for no reason. If Hendra gets angry, it means you have made a fatal mistake,” said Lindsey suspicious.

“Very fatal to the point of making Zach dare to scold his own brother.” Qiana. I pouted and crossed both hands in front of my chest.

“Don't put that expression on,” said Darla half-threatening. “You can't threaten us to shut up. Quick, tell me what happened yesterday.” I haven't said anything and he already knows that I'll threaten to shut up if they scold me? Having a friend who knows me well is not always fun.

“Alright, fine. I'll tell you what happened yesterday.”
