The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 199 - The Battalion of Peace Terms

A little more I'll touch the doorknob, but someone moves faster. The door opened from the outside and I could not avoid a collision between us. My hand was pulled so that I stood behind her and her other hand held Nora's hand brandishing a knife.

“Let go of me!” cry Nora. Abdi and Liando immediately approached her and held her hands and body. The woman rebelled trying to free herself. Hendra let go of his hand and turned to look at me. Liando took the sharp object from Nora's hand and gave it to Fahri.

“You okay?” asked Hendra with a paled face. “There's a hurt? Did he hurt you? Answer me, Za!”

“A-I'm fine.” I looked at her after watching what our house worker was doing to Nora. They dragged him out of the room. Hendra checked my body from the front to the back. He sighed softly when he saw that no one was hurt.

“How much longer can I survive because of you.” He hugged me so tightly. I'm still trying to digest what just happened. Hendra let go of his embrace then looked at me intently. “You just shut up. What was? Is everything okay?”

“She said she needed help. I didn't know that he would do that. His life is already hard, why is he making it even harder?” my question does not understand. He had escaped smoothly from all the crimes he had committed. Why would he throw himself again at something more sinister? “Is he that hateful to me?”

“He hates everyone who gets in the way of him getting what he wants. He not only hates you,” his error.

“But he doesn't hate you,” I said quietly.

“That's because he loves my money.” Hendra sighed softly. Then he kissed my forehead. “Although I am very angry with you now, I must thank you. Today's incident will leave him unable to escape from prison. Our terms of peace with him are considered void. He will be in jail for a long time. Oscar will love this very much.”

“Oh, yes. You're right.” I'm laughing a little. Which then turned into a happy laugh. “Oh, God. Finally, we are completely free from him!”

I forget. We have a peaceful requirement that the charges for the crimes he committed against us be withdrawn from the police station. Through his attempt to kill me, we not only got our wish for him to confess in front of everyone, but also managed to send him to prison.

Abdi and Liando had already tied Nora up in one of the chairs taken from the kitchen. Both hands and feet were tied to the hands and feet of the chair using a rope. His mouth was gagged probably because they did not manage to keep him quiet. There were two police cars that came along with Mr. Oscar and Zach.

“What exactly is in your head, Brother Ara!?” zach exclaimed making my heart almost jump out of my chest. He came right up to me and did not say hello to Hendra who passed by him first. “Are you really tired of living? This woman is a bad and cunning person, why is it still allowed to enter the house?!”

“Can you speak slowly and not shout like this?” I said with a stifled voice. There were a lot of people around us and the screaming embarrassed me.

“How can I not scream?! Brother could have died, then what will happen to Brother Hendra and the children?! Don't forget about your mom and her heartache. Mama can die suddenly if you die before her!” He ignored my words and spoke louder and louder.

I looked at Hendra, begging for his help. But he only saw me for a moment, then went back to talking to the police officer who asked him a few things. The bad husband. I needed help, he ignored me. I saw that Nora had been taken out by two policemen to their car. My courage has also appeared.

“I'm fine. You should be proud of me anyway. Thanks to today's incident, I managed to throw Nora into jail for a long time. He won't interfere with our lives anymore.” I lifted my chin, so proud of my achievements today.

“Proudly? There are many ways we can imprison him. But not by putting our own lives at risk. Where is Brother Ara who I know is smart and always full of that consideration? First, recklessly hurt yourself when that fool Vivaldo came. Now Brother even invited the enemy into the house? Tomorrow what else?!” bawdy. I closed my ears with both hands.

“Whispering!” hardikku upset.

They spoke seriously, then the police officer left. He and his partner followed Liando into the front room. Hendra approached Abdi to whisper something to him. Our butler nodded. I looked up at the stairs. I forget. How are the kids? Did they wake up?

“Darling, can you think calmly now?” ask Hendra. He rubbed my arm. I looked at him confused.

“What do you mean?” my many.

“Police needs a caption from you now. Only you and Nora were in the room. Although there is CCTV footage as evidence, they need a written statement because the footage only contains video without audio. But if you're not ready, we can go to the police station tomorrow morning.”

“I'm fine. I'm ready to give you a caption.”

“You know the rules, ‘right? If they ask, you can only answer when Oscar lets you. If he says no, you have to be quiet,”, Hendra said, reminding me of the basic rules when giving information. I nodded in understanding.

Hendra took me and Mr. Oscar to the living room. Two police officers came in and sat on the sofa in front of us. The question they asked I guessed. So I relayed the chronology of Nora standing in front of the gate until her attempt to hurt me with the knife she was carrying.

They asked what we were talking about last time that made Nora take out that sharp object. I answered honestly that I was sure Hendra would not help him to free his father from the legal case that ensnared him. Then he assumed that I was just a hindrance to achieving his goal.

When they were satisfied with my answer and there was nothing else they wanted to know, Mr. Oscar took over. He said that I was ready to come anytime to the police station if they needed additional information.

After an hour of checking the living room to gather evidence, they paid their respects. We went back into the house and gathered in the living room. Yuyun served food and drinks in front of us, a sign that this conversation will last a long time.

“Honey, tell us. What do you mean by you is Nora's barrier to achieving her goal?” ask Hendra. I looked at him, then Mr. Oscar and my sister.

“They approached Mama because they wanted to keep living luxuriously. They have long known that Nora's identity will one day be revealed. Before that happens, they want to make sure that their lives are safe.” I relayed everything Nora said to me about her plans with her parents.

“It is fitting that they do not care about having to spend a lot of money to ruin our marriage and involve so many people. Dicky, Vivaldo, even paid people to make bad comments about you.” Hendra rubbed his chin.

“Don't forget. They use the wrong way to make more money. Finally, they were caught also involved in corruption cases,”, Zach said.

“Then, I will prepare all the complete documents of our demands for all the evil deeds of Nora, sir. He broke the peace agreement, then I can continue our previous demands, ‘kan?” ask Mr. Oscar.

“Of course. He won't be able to squint anymore. I'm sure, he won't have enough money to pay for the services of the expensive lawyer who helped him before.” Hendra smiled with satisfaction.

“Then, one more problem remains,” said Zach. We looked at him confused. What other trouble does he mean?
