The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 248 - Black List

My mom laughed when we were all confused. At the time of separation this morning, Dira was still fine. Papa persuaded him to want to escape from Hendra's embrace. Why has his attitude changed so drastically?

“How are you? Naturally Dira to cry so. She did not recognize Hendra because her head was hairless.” Mama laughed amusedly. I looked towards my husband. Ah, right too.

“Darling, don't cry anymore. It's Papa, Son. Take a good look at his face,” I said as I approached Hendra who was sitting in the car.

“Mama! Want Papa! Where's Papa?!” crying again. If he keeps refusing to get into the car, how can we go home?

“Dira, it's papa, son. Does Dira no longer know the voice of papa?” ask Hendra. Dira looked towards him. His forehead wrinkled. I knew that she recognized the voice and face of her father, but since she was hairless, our daughter thought that Hendra was someone else.

“Use this for a while.” Papa got out of the house and gave Hendra a hat. He took it and put it on.

“Well, can Dira see who it is?” ask the little girl in my arms. He immediately extended his hand to Hendra.

“Papa!!” said happy. Oh, geez. It must be with the help of a hat that he can recognize his papa. I thanked my papa, then got in the car.

Hendra opened the car window by his side so we could wave to both of my parents. During the trip, Dira occasionally turned to look at her papa. Maybe he wanted to make sure that the man was really his father. Hendra and I smiled meaningfully at his behavior.

I looked around us, as if no one was trying to follow or scare us anymore. Mercifully. Dealing with people who have a lot of money and have influence is heavy. Because they can tell anyone to hurt us with their money.

Arriving in front of the house, Liando and Sakti help lower Hendra's wheelchair from the trunk. My husband no longer needed anyone's help getting out of the car and moving into his wheelchair.

Hearing the gate open, I turned my head and saw a car coming in. I think I've seen that car. I can't remember the owner.

We always welcome anyone to come to our home. Only certain people are banned from entering. My parents often advised us to break the habit because we had an enemy that we often did not expect.

A woman came out of the back seat, and I recognized her immediately. Her daughter got out of the car. It's a good thing my husband's memory has returned, so I don't have to explain who the bad women came to us. I forgot to add him to the list of people who are not welcome in our house.

“Hendra, I need your help,” said Keva ignoring me who stood closer to him. But he could not get close to us because Liando and Sakti immediately recognized who the woman was. He attacked me once when we were in the hospital.

“Go, Keva. We don't have any business anymore,” Hendra said firmly.

“We're schoolmates and you said, we don't have any more business?” asked Keva in a sad tone. “I have lost everything that is rightfully mine because of the unwarranted malicious accusations from my late husband's family. Please help me, Hendra.”

“I don't want to hear this shit. Go away or my men will drive you out.” Hendra held my hand and pulled me towards the terrace.

Two of our other workers helped to lift Hendra and his wheelchair up to the front door, and Abdi closed the door. The woman's voice was no longer heard. Before I could say it, Hendra asked for Keva to be blacklisted.

We had lunch together, then I accompanied Hendra to rest in the room. I asked Yuyun to look after the children while I was not with them. Hendra cleaned himself in the bathroom, then changed his clothes with a more comfortable one.

As she reached out for me to help her move from the wheelchair to the edge of the bed, I looked at her in disbelief. He can already do it himself, why still ask for my help? But I obey him.

“Before I forgot to tell you this, do you remember when Keva came to the hospital?” ask me while sitting on the edge of the bed. He assented. “He attacked me while I was alone. Mr. Oscar reported his actions, but he was only locked up for a few days.”

“She attacked you and you just told me now?!” annoyed. “Then why did he get into our yard? You didn't tell the security guard that he was blacklisted!?”

“I don't remember to tell you because we're in the hospital. Did you forget that you only slept to recover?” I said defend myself. He took a deep breath. “I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hide that from you.”

“Good.” She squinted her eyes, surely she was reminded of something important. “I remember I asked Irwan to check something about him. Have you received that report?”

“Iya. And I also apologize for using one of the reports to reply to his actions,” I said quietly. Instead of being angry, he smiled.

“It's okay, baby. I did want to teach him a lesson for already daring to slander me. He thought he could do his best to get us separated and I married him. Does he think marriage is just a game?”

“What's the name?” my many. He told me about the call from the mayor that was the beginning of the disaster we had. “You need to take care of your emotions. Don't challenge everyone out there and add to your enemies.”

“I'm sleepy, baby.” He yawns slowly, and I know it's just pretend. “If I haven't woken up by three, please, wake me up.” I shook my head to see his behavior.

Hadi was continuing to compile his LEGO ship, while Dira was coloring as I walked into the living room. Seeing that the television was not turned on, I decided to look for the news that Keva had intended.

What I found was news of Vivaldo's trial being involved in a major bribery case, as well as other layered articles, including attempted murder on the eve of my birthday. I don't know how long this time the judge will give him a sentence. Poor kids. Somehow they are now.

Without having to be difficult to find, the next news turns out about Keva who is accused of deliberately ending her own husband's life. Bizarrely. If he is accused of that, why is he still free and not immediately imprisoned? His son is still with him. Was the family of her deceased husband not afraid that the child would experience the same?

I immediately turned up the volume of the television when I read the next head of news. Oh, myGod! And finally! The mayor was summoned by investigators as a witness in the alleged misuse of a project's funds. The interrogation is still ongoing and no one has come out of the room to give a description.

Hopefully he's named as a suspect. The evidence that Irwan has collected will not be refuted. Then our demands for the accident that befell Hendra can also be processed.
