The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 143 - Award

“Any.” I looked at my reflection in the mirror. This only happened when I was pregnant with Hadi and Dira. My hands reflexively touch my stomach.

“While what, dear?” asked Hendra who was brushing his teeth next to me.

“I just realized that I have not menstruated for two months.” I round my eyes. No. gabe. This is impossible. Hendra stopped brushing his teeth. “Not ...” I looked at my husband who immediately rinsed his mouth clean. He put his hand on my stomach.

“Iya. Yes, sweetie. I wish you were pregnant.” He kissed me on the cheek, then hugged me tightly. “I'll ask Kafin to stop by the pharmacy to buy a test tool.”

Hendra darted out of the bathroom. I heard him talking to someone. He must have talked to Kafin on his cell phone. I still stared at my reflection in the mirror in disbelief. I could be wrong but the chances are very small.

He came back to me to hug me and shower me with a kiss. I laughed amusedly. I don't know why he's so happy with this news that we haven't confirmed yet. Having another child is not fun. I will be tormented again with hormonal changes, moods, and I don't yet know what different things she gave me compared to her two brothers.

Kafin came a few minutes later, Hendra asked me to wait. I can't help myself to pee. He gave me two glasses of water for me to drink while waiting for Kafin to arrive. By the time he returned with the test kit in his hand, I was already holding my urine.

“It's eight o'clock, baby. You're too late to go to your place of work.” I glanced at his watch. He just silently hugged me while looking at his watch, waiting until the test kit showed results.

“OK. It's time. Take a deep breath, baby. Calm yourself.” He took a long breath. I just laughed. He needs that phrase more than me.

He took the test device from the glass and saw the mark on the middle of the tool. There are two red lines there. Oh. Lord. Hendra cheered happily. She hugged me tightly and kissed me again. I can only bengong. Dira and Ara who had somehow done what outside our room finally entered and stood in the doorway with faces of confusion.

I forbid Hendra to say anything to our daughter. It was too early to give any hope that she would have a sister. We did what we did in my previous two pregnancies, waited until she was twelve weeks old, then told our family and friends.

“This cheer Liando is coming with Yuyun, you get ready. We had lunch outside after knowing the state of the little one.” Hendra stroked my stomach with his big smile. Yeah, God. Did he not smile continuously from earlier?

“Be careful driving, Kafin,” I said as I drove them off at the front door.

“Good, Mistress.” The cafeteria walked to the elevator first. Hendra turned his body and hugged me again. I'm laughing a little.

“I love you so much, baby.” He kissed my lips gently, then he changed his mind by putting one of his hands behind my head. I staggered as she deepened our kiss. “Thank you, God. I'm so happy.”

“Are you sure you can work today?” my God is still trying to catch my breath. She laughs. “Go. Kafin is waiting.”

“Don't forget. We'll check with the doctor.” He reminded me again.

“Iya. Ilove you. See you later.” He kissed my lips before he left. I shook my head to see her behavior.

I was playing with Dira and Ara when the video call from Hendra came in. I just looked at him in disbelief. He smiled happily as he looked at us, saying nothing. It seems like he was attending a big meeting because I heard Papa's assistant's voice. He was wearing his bluetooth earphones.

Hadi and Colin went home from school, I asked them to clean themselves and change clothes before lunch. I leave the children to Yuyun and Liando. Hendra kept his word and came right at twelve. He must have left his office the moment the meeting was over.

The obstetrician who used to handle my pregnancy smiled meaningfully at the sight of us both coming again. After going through various examinations, we had lunch waiting for the lab results to be completed. Hendra still did not stop smiling happily.

“Darling, does your cheek not hurt?” askaku.

“I don't feel it. I'm too happy to care about the pain in my face.” She caressed my cheek with a moved face. “We'll have another child, baby.”

“Iya.” I touched his hand on my cheek.

Of course he advised me at length to take good care of my condition. I was asked to get enough rest and eat a nutritious diet, as well as keep my mind happy. Hendra promised to make sure that me and my baby would be okay.

“Hendra?” Someone called my husband. We looked towards the direction of the sound. Papa and Mama. They were dressed in hospital clothes and were accompanied by a nurse.

“Hai, Pa, Ma,” greeted Hendra who invited me to approach them. “Papa and Mama do regular health checks?”

“Iya.” Papa waved a paper. “We will be heading to the next checkpoint. What are you guys doing here? Isn't it your turn next week?”

“Iya, Pa. I made sure of our check-up schedule with the kids as well. So, we can set what time we should come next week.” Hendra had to lie.

“Can't it be done over the phone? Why should you bother coming?” ask Mama with a full look.

“We just finished taking care of all our family files, so we all provide photocopies of KK, KTP, and Birth Certificate of children, Ma.” Poor my husband has to keep lying.

“Honey, let them. Why are you interrogating your own son. We have to head to the next room.” Papa pushed Mama's body a little. He looked towards us. “You continue your business. We have to go now.”

“Good, Pa. See you later, Ma.” Hendra took me back to the elevator. I could still see Mama looking at me suspiciously before turning around. There is no woman I can deceive about my circumstances. Mama must have started to suspect our true purpose until coming to this hospital alone.

“We will do regular health checks next week?” my many. “You didn't say anything before.”

“Because I forgot, baby. Gista must have taken care of it. Busy with birthday preparations, I didn't have time to ask.” Hendra pressed the button to the ground floor.

“We won't be able to hide my pregnancy any longer, Hendra. Papa will definitely find out soon after reading my examination results,” I said worriedly.

“Papa will keep it a secret and won't tell Mama. You don't worry. It is company secret.” He brought my body closer to him. A woman came in on the next floor, so we didn't talk anymore.

“Why do we go out through the front door and not through the side door where we entered?” I was confused to see the road we were taking.

“It is easier for Kafin to pick us up from the front door than the door earlier.” The front door opened automatically and I was surprised to see that there were a lot of people waiting for us. “Sials. I forget. They must have gathered here for following Papa and Mama.”

There are so many people asking us questions. Video cameras and photos are directed at us, as well as microphones with various labels of television stations and news media. Hendra hugged my body while helping me towards the car. Several security officers also helped pave the way for us.

We were surrounded by reporters, but why did I feel that someone was touching the back of my body? I looked towards them and found some sinister smiling faces at me. They're not journalists.
