“Pregnancy this time is also included fast. If I don't remember wrongly, the doctor asked you to wait for three months. Hendra had an accident, then that means you guys have been back active before the incident.” Mama looked at me full of probes. “Ara, what happened so that during the first six years of your marriage, you were not pregnant?”
I closed my eyes, considering what I should say. I don't want to hurt anyone anymore. Enough of everything we've been through so far. But I can't lie. If not now, one day they will know. Either me or Hendra is flippant.
“Za, are you taking any pregnancy-preventing medication?” ask my mother-in-law. He touched my hand. “Son, you need not be afraid to tell the truth. Anya also I just want to know what happened.” I sobbed at my mother-in-law's words. Ara growled towards my two mamas.
“Ara? Why are you crying? Don't do this. Hendra can be angry if he finds out,” said Mama panicked. “Listen, we won't be mad at you. Naava and I are both happy and surprised by your pregnancy which includes this fast. We just want to know.”
“Ma-forgive me, Ma. I'm a bad boy. I am also a wicked wife,” I said sobbing. “Iya. I'm taking a pregnancy-preventive medication.” They sigh in relief. I looked at them confused. “Is Mama not angry with me? I-I've let down Mama both.”
“We know that you haven't loved Hendra in the early years of your marriage. Poor boy, are you so afraid we'll scold you, hm?” My mother-in-law wiped the tears on my cheek. Mama helped. Ara barked so hard.
“Already, don't cry. We won't be angry. Remember womb. You have given us two grandchildren, there is no way we are angry just because of the past,” said my mother comforted. “See, Ara also scolded us. He's more fierce than Hendra.”
“Really? Mama both not angry?” askaku. They simultaneously nodded. “Thank you. And I'm really sorry.”
I don't know what's going on, but I'm so relieved to be able to get that secret out of my chest. It was nice to see my mother-in-law and mother-in-law react like I was worried. I hugged the two of them, also hugged Ara to stop being angry.
“You are only curious about your two recent pregnancies,” my father-in-law said. “He kept asking me that which I could not answer. I told him to ask you directly. After all you are pregnant, of course they will not dare to scold you. Who wants to deal with Hendra's temper?” We all laughed when we heard it.
“Imagine it, not even your father and younger brother can hold you. Something's wrong with your husband.” Papa shook his head.
“I as his biological father just don't understand where he got that trait.” My father-in-law laughed a little.
My phone shook, my four parents groaned slowly. I'm laughing a little. Mama immediately picked up the tissue on the table, then helped dry my face. My mother-in-law helped me get my hair straight.
“Why should he contact you so often? Is he so suspicious that we would hurt you?” my mother-in-law's.
I can only laugh a little. Once I was sure I was ready to answer, I shifted the green phone symbol. Hendra's face immediately filled the screen. “Hai, darling!”
“Hai, beautiful. How are you and our baby?” ask him cheerfully. Both of our mamas approached so that their faces appeared on the screen. “Ah, looks like our parents are still there with you, yes.” Her cherry face turned sullen.
“Hai, darling. How's your job today?” my mother-in-law asked half her.
“Stop that, Ma. Did you two treat my wife well? You guys didn't make her cry, ‘kan?” Hendra looked suspiciously. “It looks like my wife's eyes are a little red. Did she just cry? Don't lie to me.”
“Honey, stop that. I'm doing fine. Our parents were very kind to me. And you know for yourself that I'm very sensitive because of the influence of hormones during pregnancy. If you want to find who is wrong, blame yourself for making me this way,” I said.
“Why am I to blame? We make it together.” he said in self-defense. Hadi and Dira immediately went up to the sofa, wanting to talk to their papa.
“Hendra, don't scold my son-in-law. You have to give up a lot. If he says you are wrong, then you are guilty,” said my mother-in-law. I stick my tongue out at my husband.
“Why am I being scolded?” his protest. He looked to his right. “Gista, stop that! I told you, if there's anything you want to report, just send a message. Don't show your face in front of me.”
“Hey, hey, baby. Why are you scolding Gista like that?” I tried to calm him down. I heard the laughter of a woman.
“How can I not be angry? I've been back to work for two weeks and he still laughs every time he sees me. Very frankly.” He growled in annoyance. I refrained from laughing. But my former mother-in-law could not help herself.
“Mama!” yelled Hendra upset. “I'm not that bad and my hair will definitely grow soon. Stop laughing at me!” Actually his performance was not that bad, but his reaction made us laugh. He looks so sweet when he's angry like this.
“Papa! Papa!!” sapa Hadi and Dira simultaneously. I let Hadi hold my phone and listen to them talk to their papa.
I don't know what happened to me, but when I welcomed Hendra home that afternoon, I cried bitterly. He scolded our parents even though Mama had explained that this was just a hormone problem.
He brought me a bouquet of red roses and a basket of fresh fruits. I don't know why I was touched by it to the point of crying. After I managed to calm down, we had dinner together. Our parents came home in my in-laws car. I smiled at their familiarity.
This pregnancy is really strange. One time I cried, and then at about the same time I laughed. I wonder, the child I bear is a boy or a girl?
Hadi asked me to connect the video call with Colin's father's cell phone. I looked at the clock and it was morning there. I asked him and Dira to brush my teeth and put on my pajamas before I called Colin. They comply.
Will and I talked for a while before I gave Hadi my phone. Not wanting to interfere with their conversation, I left my son's room and let the three of them chat.
Hendra had finished his bath and was wearing trousers and a sweatshirt. I asked him to check on the kids in a few minutes. He soon understood that they were talking to Colin.
“Did something happen today at home?” asked Hendra who helped me lay in bed. I don't want to argue with him anymore, so I let him spoil me.
“Everything is fine. Even very well,” said I remembered the conversation I had with my mother and mother-in-law. “My load has now lifted all. Our parents already know that I used to take pregnancy-preventing drugs.”
“Oh, yes? Then how do they respond?” asked Hendra to know. He sat on the edge of the bed.
“They just want to know, and not scold me at all,” I replied happy.
“Thank God, then.” Hendra held both of my hands. “Is there anything else you're talking about?” I shook my head slowly.
“Honey? Everything's gonna be okay, ‘kan? We won't have a breakup or a big problem again, ‘kan? Happiness is real and not a dream, right? After so many things happened, I was scared. I'm afraid this is all just a dream,” I said sobbing.

Meanwhile in the children's room.
“Here there is no summer camp, so I can not join any event,” Hadi told his best friend. “Do you have many friends there, Colin?”
“I met a lot of new friends. But no one is as good as you, Hadi. They don't like to share toys with me, ” Colin replied.
“Why don't they like sharing? Did they not learn that in school?” ask Hadi confused.
“I don't know. I also approached the girls a lot, but I ignored them all. Because I promised your mom and dad that I would marry Dira when we grow up,” Colin said proudly.
“Don't worry about Dira. I took good care of my sister as I promised. When you go home later you can see for yourself.” Hadi embraces his sister. “Dira say hello to your husband.” Dira just laughed seeing Colin's face filled the phone screen.
“I'm not her husband, Hadi,” Colin said. Hadi frowned.
“Then what?” tanyakanya.
“Prospective husband,” replied Colin. “Hai, Dira. You are patient, yes. I'll be home soon. I'll bring a lot of toys for you and Hadi.”
Hendra who heard the conversation from the doorway just patted his forehead and shook his head in disbelief.
