The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 108 - Fierce Fights

“Please promise, you won't get out of the car,” my door once again.

“I promise,” he said slowly. I stroked her cheek and gave her another kiss.

I closed the door as slow as I could and watched my surroundings. Irwan's men kept their distance from me so that no one would suspect us if anyone looked out the window of his house. Ara seemed to understand what I was saying because she sniffed the street and ran after the smell she smelled. He didn't bark in the least.

Arriving in front of a fence, I saw the house well. The garage was closed so I couldn't see what kind of car they had. But I trusted my dog, so I jumped over the not-high fence as soon as I could and entered the yard. Two people did what I did and kept my distance from me.

Ara kissed the path to the house and groaned softly towards the closed door in front of us. I was just about to squat down, he looked to his left side. He walked again while kissing the air. Did he find the scent of a familiar person? He stopped when we were near a window.

Thick curtains covered it, so I couldn't see into the inside of the house. A man near me touched the glass on the window. He signals his friend. One of the men carrying a backpack approached. He immediately took out a tool from his bag. I held Ara and we took a few steps back.

The man hollowed out the glass by forming a large circle. Then make a second circle. They took the rest of the glass that was still attached to the bottom and top of the window to make it safe for us to pass through. One man slowly opened the curtain and I saw my daughter in bed. I wanted to get in, but the man got in my way.

He opened the curtains and there was no one in the room. She rushed up the window, entered the room, then lifted my daughter off the bed. I immediately received Dira from her and hugged her tightly.

“Hey, who are you?!” Suddenly the door opened and a man caught us.

“Stay here, don't move. We will bend them all,” said one of them to me. I nodded quickly.

Fierce fights were inevitable. I leaned against the wall and listened to the sound of the limbs clashing loudly with the rest of the body as well as the sound of screaming as well as pain coming from the direction of the room. Dira did not wake up at all. He breathes regularly. Did they give him sleeping pills? Scoundrel. Hopefully they don't give you a lot of doses.

A deafening sound came from within. The sounds and sounds of fighting stopped for a moment. Hearing someone's threatening voice, I'm sure he's the one holding the weapon. I peered out the window without anyone noticing my presence, looked for the man, and looked at the gunman's face. I don't know him.

Then a fight again occurred when the man was suddenly bent from behind. I want to help, but they've banned me and I don't want to be a burden. Dira also there's no way I can just leave it outside the house under the supervision of my little dog.

I don't know who called the police, the sound of sirens breaking the silence of the night. For a moment, the car with the lights illuminating around us filled the front of the house. There was a sound of the back door of the house being forcefully opened and several men running chased by Irwan's men. It's time for me to get back in the car.

“Stop or this woman's head will I shoot!” That word stopped my steps. From the front of the house came the voice of a man I did not know. I close my head so I can peek over the wall. A man stands at the door with one hand wrapped around Za's front body and the other hand attaches the gun's mouth to his temple.

My blood boils when I see that dirty man touching Zaku. No man in the world can touch her that close. I can't possibly put Dira down and help my wife. The policemen could only stand frozen and try to get the man to talk, but I was not calm. The man can pull the trigger at any time. Za's in danger!

Something moved quickly from under my body towards the man. Then there was a scream of pain followed by gunfire. Za shouted with all her might making my heart almost stop beating. I paid no attention to anything else and immediately ran over to him. But a police officer was faster and blocked me with his body.

“Do not move!” said the man while kicking something that was on the floor. I followed the sound of the displaced thing. A pistol. Another officer wearing gloves immediately picked up the weapon. The first policeman lifted someone off the floor. The man who threatened Za was holding his bloody hand.

Then the next officer walked over to me while holding the pale-faced Za. I immediately approached and hugged her. I let go to see his face. There was no blood or any injuries. I kissed her on the forehead, then hugged her back tightly. The two people who had worried me were now safely in my arms.

“True, Sir,” I replied politely.

“Small are already brave against criminals.” The man rubbed Ara's rebellious head in order to be returned to me. Because I was holding Dira, Za hugged Ara.

We were escorted to the hospital to check on Dira. According to the results of the doctor's examination, he injected sleeping pills in doses that are not harmful. What we need to worry about is his reaction upon waking up. Since he was in good physical condition, Za and I agreed to take our daughter home. Home is the most comfortable place for him when he wakes up.

After each of us gave our statements and testimonies about the kidnapping to the rescue of Dira at the police station, we were allowed to go home. They asked us to keep working together if they still needed any information from us. I'd be happy to help get them all in jail, including the kidnap brains.

I called Zach on the way home and told him that Dira had come back to us. I also asked him to tell Oscar to study the case because I wanted them all to be given the maximum sentence.

“Without involving Irwan?” ask Zach. I just agreed, not wanting Za to know what we were talking about. “Good, Brother. Rest up. Legal matters we will handle.” After saying thank you and greeting each other, I ended the phone call.

Irwan has helped me deal with bad people in ways that break the law. I will not allow his obedience to be known by the authorities. If there's someone to blame, I'm the one. I won't mention my best friend's name. Even though he broke the law, he should not be put in jail.

We arrived home, the villa manager immediately welcomed our arrival. They cried when they saw Za holding Dira who was still sleeping. I thanked them and allowed them to return home. I glanced at my watch. At four in the morning.

Ara immediately headed for her dining spot. I filled it with special food for him as well as water for his drink. Za took Dira to her room, so I took advantage of the opportunity to take a shower. Only when I was alone did I let my fortifications collapse. I let the tears fall down my face along with the shower water.

Today was a really tough day. We just wanted to go on vacation together after so many years of not being able to see each other. Why is it that when everything is going to end, this event is happening? I can't imagine how Dira felt when she woke up. And I'm not sure I'd be strong enough to see her cry considering it's a few hours apart from her mother.

While coming out of the bathroom, Za was already waiting by sitting on the edge of the bed to clean herself up as well. Without saying anything, I approached the closet and picked up my clothes. I waited until he came into the bathroom and took off my towel.

Ara was already lying soundly on her bed when I came out of the room. I rubbed his head with gratitude. He saved the lives of two people who were very important to me. Dira, then Za. Hm. Zaa. He never really learned from his mistakes. He always promised but did not keep it.

He came out of the room fresher. We'll be sleeping soon, but he's shampooing. She must not have the heart to use a hair dryer, worried that the children would wake up. I just shook my head slowly at his next recklessness.

“What's up? I clean my hair so I don't sleep. I want to stay awake when Dira wakes up later.” He received a glass of warm drink from me. “Thank you.”

“You have promised.” I looked at him seriously. He who had just gulped down his drink, looked at me wryly before slowly putting the mug over the counter.

“I can explain, Hendra. Please, calm yourself.” He walked backwards as I turned the kitchen counter to get close to him.

“Why should I calm myself? And why are you afraid if you don't feel like you're doing something wrong?” He tried to run away, I caught his hand faster. “What's up, Za dear? Do you think you can escape without being punished for your crimes?”
