The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 194 - The Last Visit

Nora had pure white skin, but her bright facial skin instantly paled. She definitely did not expect that Mama would say that sentence to him. Her mother also seemed to be distrustful of her own hearing.

Not just the two of them. Me and Papa who always heard Mama defend the woman or understand her mistake were even more surprised. I looked up at Papa to confirm whether I heard it right or just fantasized.

“A-what does Aunt mean? Did I just make a mistake?” nora asked, turning nervous. He touches Aunt's right hand in Papa's, but Mama distances herself from him. “I'm sorry if I said something that hurt Auntie.”

“You repeatedly apologized, but you didn't admit your mistake. You know that I hate liars. I understand all your mistakes before because I give you a chance to change. But I was wrong. You will never change. I don't want my son to have a wife like you.” Mama looks disappointed.

“Tante, I'm really sorry. I admit all my mistakes, please give me one last chance. I love Hendra so much, Auntie.” Nora pleads. Mama retreated as she tried to touch her hand again. This time, Papa stood up to protect Mama.

“Go home, Nora. My wife won't change her mind even if you cry begging her. And be careful when you touch her. His body is still in the process of recovery,” said Papa reminded. Nora sobbed sadly.

Mom looked at Mama Nora. “Please, take your daughter home.” He obeyed Mom's request. They went near their car. Liando took my car forward and prepared to open the door.

“We also paid our way home, yes, Pa, Aunt. We will come again tomorrow.” I looked towards my daughter. “Come, Dira waved your hand to Grandpa and Grandma.”

“Dada, (K)grandpa. Chest, Granny.” He waved his tiny hand while smiling happily.

“Don't come too early. The hose has been removed, so Adhy will not be too bothered anymore. He lately quickly fell asleep because he played with Dira.” Mama looked at Papa meaningfully. Papa laughed a little. “I don't like to be the last one to fall asleep.”

“Good, Aunt,” I said according to. Liando held Dira, then helped her to sit in her special chair. Papa and Mama were still standing on the porch, so I opened the glass and we waved at them as Liando drove the car.

We went to Hadi and Colin's school before going home. Will asked me to bring another lunch for the next day. It seems like she was hooked on Fahri's cooking so she agreed to keep Hadi and Colin until I came to pick them up. We both won, so why not?

Hendra came home before dinner, so we could eat together. He and Will had a heated argument as we relaxed in the living room. Will still hopes to be brought closer to Gista, while Hendra does not want the girl to have a romantic relationship. His job is new to him and he needs to adjust.

“Until when, Hendra? Don't you feel sorry for me and Colin? I would love to know him more deeply.” Will is still trying to persuade my husband.

“If you still want him next week, I'll take you to dinner with us. We're going on a double date,” Hendra said giving a suggestion that I think is fair enough. It seemed like he was being cautious as he did not believe Will's feelings for Gista were sincere. It made sense since he had only seen the girl at one event but already wanted to marry her.

“Next week? Long time ago,” complained Will. He leaned on his sofa and pouted like a child whose request was denied. “You're actually his boss, his brother, or his father?”

“Take or forget I ever offered this to you,” said Hendra firmly. Will looked at me with a pleading face. I just put on a smile. He knew that Hendra would not change his mind even if I persuaded him. Unless the request is for my own benefit.

“OK, okay. We have dinner together next week.” Will relented.

As the children begin to yawn, Will breaks off and takes his sleepy son to their car. Hendra and I drove to the terrace. I smiled seeing Liando help carry Dira to her room.

“You can't believe that Will is serious with Gista,” I said as we prepared for bed. Hendra who would turn out the lights on his nightstand undo that intention.

“Do you believe that he is serious?” he said to reverse that sentence to me.

“He never talked about women before, baby. Of course I believe that he is serious,” I said explaining. “Again he was a good man, dear to his son, the responsible principal. I've never heard of any complaints about him.”

“You've only known him for a few months, I've known him for a few years. So your introduction is no better than mine, baby,” he said not to lose. “Add again, I am a man. Gista is an attractive girl, not just Will who claims to like her. There were already many other men waiting in line to be introduced to him. But I have not met a really serious one with his intentions.”

“Will less serious what else? He's up to asking for help from you.”

“She can come see the girl if she is serious.” He shrugged both his shoulders.

“He works on the same day as Gista. His spare time is only on weekends and that is to be spent with his son. When else can he approach that woman if it's not through you. We can create an event at home and invite them both, for example.” I gave a suggestion.

“No. We'll wait until next week. I want to know if he's serious about his feelings.”

“I'm curious. Did you like me that way too?”

“Of course. I waited long enough to express my feelings. What I have to assure not only myself but also my parents. If I still had a little doubt, they wouldn't approve of my intention to marry you. You know why?” He smiled meaningfully.

“Because I already have a future husband?” many guessed. He's laughing a little. His hand he put over my head.

“I think you're a smart woman. It turns out you're not that smart.” I pouted hearing him mock me. He smiled and kissed my lips. His hands hugged my body and pulled me closer.

“You're not from among us, baby. Papa and Mama don't mind me marrying you because I'm sure of how I feel. If I waver a little when they ask so many complicated questions beyond the university entrance exam, we will never get married. My wife is definitely a woman from among businessmen as well.” I immediately hugged him tightly.

“Already. Don't talk about the past anymore. I don't want to imagine we've never been together,” I said I didn't like. She laughs.

“You yourself who want to discuss the past.”

“So, is that why Mama insists on bringing you closer to Nora?” my many. He answered yes. “Just because he's from the top class too? Not for any other reason?”

“That question you should ask Mama. Not me.”
