The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 219 - The Warning

Suddenly Darla approached, put down a sign bearing her name and Gio, then moved my signboard and Hendra to the next table. Where my friends and their husbands are. I don't know what to say because he saved us.

“Mistress, you can't ..” said the woman who drove us. He stopped seeing hand signals from Keva. The woman lowered her head respectfully, then returned towards the entrance of the hall. The problem is also well resolved.

We followed the show calmly. Lindsey and Qiana gave me a jealous look seeing me eat so much. I just laughed. How long will they give me that look? Did friends for years not get them used to it?

“Don't blame me. It wasn't me who forced my wife to keep her body shape.” Helmut looked at me. “I wouldn't mind if his weight was slightly increased.”

“Iya. You don't mind. I object,” protest Qiana. “There are many good-bodied women you meet every day out there. If until I turn fat that makes you not feel at home, you can be tempted by other women.”

“Already, already. Don't fight in front of good food,” said Edu broke up. We laughed a little.

“You are really good friends, laughing over my plight.” Qiana pouted.

“I have to go to the restroom.” I took the napkin that was on my lap, and put it on the table. Hendra nodded slowly. He then turned his head towards Lindsey and Qiana. I'm laughing a little. Ever since the incident on his company's birthday, I've no longer been allowed to go far away from him without being accompanied by anyone else.

Qiana was accompanying me, while Lindsey didn't need a toilet yet. We are grateful there are not many queues in the women's toilet. Just waiting for a while, it was my turn and Qiana arrived. I wash my hands in the sink after I finish using the toilet.

“I've been waiting a long time now,” said a woman next to me. I looked over and saw Keva cleaning his hands. He spoke without looking at me. “I won't let you or anyone else stand in the way of me getting what I want.”

“What do you mean?” my question does not understand.

“If I can't get him, then you won't let me be happy with him either,” he said again, sending electricity all over my body. W-what does it mean to talk like that?

“You're not delirious, ‘right? Are you okay?” I am increasingly surprised to see his behavior.

He set his eyes on me. “How about dinner? Do you like the menu we presented tonight?” I looked at him in wonder. Is my guess right? This woman has a double personality? Ah, naw. That's not. He was just wearing a mask, just like the strategy Nora used.

There were a lot of people around us, so he was unwilling to show his true nature in front of everyone. Wh why? Why do the people who enter our lives have crazy thoughts? For God's sake, Hendra and I never ruined anyone's marriage. Why do people like to ruin our lives?

I don't need a psychic or to force him to tell the truth. I know what he means as ‘what he wants’. He must be talking about Hendra. There are a lot of rich men in this country, why Hendra again, Hendra again?

“What's up, Zahara? Does he bother you?” qiana asked who was coming from behind me. I looked towards her, while Keva gave a small laugh.

“We just greeted each other. Yes, ‘kan, Zahara?” keva said with a smile on his face. “Come, we're back to the show. There are still many other famous singers who will perform.”

Keva dried his hands, then stepped out of the toilet. The women around us did not show their concern for our chat. They focus on what they do in these toilets.

Seeing more and more people queuing up, Qiana and I walked out of the place. We're back in the hall. I knew that I could not hide anything from my husband. Because he was suspicious of the expression I made. I was smiling very sweetly.

Hysterical screeches suddenly filled the hall as the initial tangles of a song were played. Qiana did it. Yeah, God. They invited their favorite male singer. Hendra put his chair close to me, then wrapped his hand on my shoulder. We enjoyed the event for a while because Qiana obviously wouldn't want to be invited home before the singer took the stage.

When I got home, Hendra took a bath because I wanted to check on the children. Seeing that they were sleeping well, I smiled with relief.

“Say, what happened in the toilet earlier?” asked Hendra as I walked out of the bathroom. “Do not try to lie to me. Remember, there should be no secrets between us.” I rolled my eyeballs. Does he think I forgot about our deal?

“Iya. I saw him overtake you and Qiana. What did he say?” tanyakanya.

“He said, no one can stop him from getting what he wants,” I replied. “I don't need to tell you what he means, ‘kan?”

“Not to think about. Let him hallucinate. I will never turn away from you.” Hendra pulled me to lie down next to him.

“Why do all women want you? You are not handsome, what makes them suddenly attracted to you?” my question does not understand. Hendra loosened his embrace and looked at me without blinking.

“Tiba-arrived? Ever since I was young, a lot of women have been fighting over my attention. You're the one who's blind because of your handsome boyfriend. Do you think all women chase men for the sake of their faces? Hey, thick pockets also make a lot of women interested,” he said arrogantly. I snorted at him.

“I'm curious,” I said switching the subject. I don't like it every time we talk about my past with Vivaldo. What's wrong with falling in love with a handsome young man? “What happened in the past so you didn't choose him?”

“I don't love him,” he answered briefly.

“Honey,” I said not satisfied with the answer.

“When I was still SMU, he declared love to me. I don't remember his face, but I do remember who his father was. I refused, instead he spread untrue gossip about me.” He started his story in a bored manner.

“At the age of eighteen, she should have married her fiance. But a few weeks before her day, she ended their engagement on the grounds that she loved me and was only willing to marry me.

“His fiancee's family came to me to hold me accountable. I said what happened honestly. I have witnesses, so they can't scold me. The wedding was continued.” Hendra ended the story.

“What fiancee you mentioned that was her recently deceased husband?” askaku. Hendra nodded. “Just right he said that this was a moment he had been waiting for a long time. She wants to approach you again after her husband dies.”

“I already know. He was acting so familiar to me as we fulfilled the mayor's invitation. He even kicked out people sitting near me so we could sit side by side,” he said. I looked at him with anger.

“What? She stuck with you on the show and you didn't say anything to me? What happened to our agreement that there would be no more secrets? Why are you saying this to me now??”
