The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 231 - Burning Jealousy

I mentioned the room number and the floor where Hendra's nursery is located. Before ending our conversation, I immediately relayed what I needed from him. “About what happened to my husband, can I ask for your help?”

“We have started investigating. Once we find out who did it, we'll send the evidence to Mom. And we will also make sure that the authorities find the same evidence to help their investigation,” he promised.

“Thank you,” I said sincerely. I am so grateful that he contacted me. Because I wouldn't be able to find the number without Hendra's phone.

“Mother don't worry. Hendra is my best friend. I will not stay silent to see him experience injustice,” he said a little growling.

As soon as our conversation ended, I immediately contacted Gista. The woman asked my husband's situation which I answered as briefly as possible. I don't want Papa scolding her for talking to me too long over the phone.

“I need your help, Gista. Please take care of Hendra's phone and number, as well as his tablet. He'll need both of those things later. If you need her identity card, I will ask Sakti to send her there.”

“I've bought a new phone and tablet for Mr. Mahendra, Mom. Both are in Adhyana's hands. Regarding your old number, yes, I will need the original ID to take care of it. Once I receive my ID, I will take care of it after work. I will take her new card tomorrow to the hospital,” she replied.

“Thank you very much, Gista.” I'm glad to know that he's reliable.

After enjoying some really good-tasting cookies and a cup of coffee to help me stay awake, we returned to the waiting room. I invited Sakti to come in to see Hendra's situation, but he refused. He prefers to sit in the waiting room.

I didn't force her and went into my husband's nursery as quietly as I could. I was surprised to see what was going on in the room. A woman sat on the edge of the bed and brought her face closer to my husband's.

“Are you crazy?!” my screams are full of anger. I ran over and pushed her body away from my husband. “What right do you have to go into this room without permission and try to kiss my husband?! Get out! Get out of this room!!”

What's inside this crazy woman's head? It's nice to go in when no one is in the room. Want to kiss my husband while he is sleeping? He's really not sane! He even dared to glare at me.

“You are crazy! How dare you push me to the floor!” he strangled without shame.

“Mistress, what happened?” Sakti came in, and I saw two sisters standing behind her. The man immediately approached Keva who was sitting on the floor and pulled her out.

“You can't do this to me. I wasn't a criminal until I was dragged along. Let go of me!” Keva rebelled from Sakti's handrails on both of his arms.

“Expire him out of this place! I hope it's not you who has made my husband wretched. Because if you make him this way, I'll make sure you rot in jail. Find another man for you to make a husband, and don't bother my husband again!” pekiku angry.

“Close your mouth! I love Hendra. I would never hurt him!” reply Keva. I looked at Sakti sharply because she had been pulling him out of the room for too long. “Let me go! You can't treat me like this!”

He said what he did was love? Hendra didn't love him for what he kept imposing his will on him? It's called obsession. How did he know which room my husband was in? Did he follow one of my family?

I massaged my suddenly aching head, and could only silently watch Sakti pull her out of the room. Some people stood by the door to watch what happened so we shouted so loudly.

“Sayang ..?” I felt a touch in my hand. I took a deep breath and took it out slowly. But I have not been able to assuage the anger that filled my chest. “Hey, are you okay?”

I looked towards him. He looked at me with a worried face. “I'm fine.” I looked at the nurse who was checking on my husband.

“This is our fault,” said the nurse standing near the door. It seems he closed the door back. “We're sorry, Mom. I was taking care of the patient who set off the alarm, while my best friend could not help herself to go to the toilet.”

I took a deep breath to calm myself. Can't help myself going to the toilet? Why didn't he do it before there was an emergency call from that patient? It was just a far-fetched excuse but I had enough of making a fuss, I didn't want to shout anymore. This is a hospital anyway.

“I forgive you this time. If this happens, I will report your carelessness to the hospital. Be thankful that he didn't hurt my husband. Now, please, leave us.” I looked at the faces of the two sisters. They just lowered their heads with fearful looks at me.

“Good, Mom. Weexcuse you. Please forgive us,” they said before exiting the room.

We were alone, but I had not managed to assuage my anger. Hendra pulled my hand so I could sit on the edge of the bed. He looked at me with a smiling face. I was just pouting, unable to return that smile.

“What's up? He's gone, why are you still mad like this?” tanyanya slow. He touched my cheek. “He didn't manage to kiss me, baby. Stop being angry with him. Keva will be more satisfied if you are provoked by his behavior. Don't let him know your weakness.”

“You remember him?” I just don't believe it. She laughs. “You remember him but it takes a long time to remember me? Are you serious, Hendra?”

“She was the woman who got me into a lot of trouble, and there was almost a war between two big businessmen. Fortunately, his fiancee was able to continue their marriage plans. Otherwise, I will become his nemesis.” He looked towards the door. “What is he doing here? Is she and her husband divorced?”

“Her husband died six months ago,” I replied. He was silent for a moment.

“His family has no history of heart disease. How did he get sick? Ah, maybe he has bad life habits.” She smiles. “I'm glad to see you angry like this.”

“Why do you even feel happy?” many wonder.

“Because you're jealous. That means you really love me,” he said proudly. “Don't worry, dear. I don't have any feelings for that woman.”

“I know,” I said slowly. I lowered my head and looked at our hands that were clinging to his lap.

The door was knocked, we looked at the door. A nurse came in with a wheelchair. It is time for Hendra to undergo physiotherapy again. I stood up and made room for the man to help my husband move from being in a wheelchair.

“You will come with me, ‘kan?” tanyanya expectantly. I'm nodding.

Sakti approached me as we exited the room. He gave me a big brown envelope that I believe came from Irwan. There is no sender name nor the recipient. I thank him. Sakti returned to her seat.

I turned towards Hendra, and was forced to stop my steps for a moment. It turned out that they did not continue their journey to the therapy room but were waiting for me. Seeing my husband extend his hand, I accepted.

“You don't go far. And you better keep your distance with the man even though he is our worker,” he said which made me not surprised. Possessiveness is acute.

While waiting for him to go to therapy with a male trainer, I read every report in the brown envelope. Everything about Keva Heilyn. What's wrong with this woman? Why did Hendra ask Irwan to investigate?
