“Honey, you can't do that. I told you no,” Papa said firmly.
“But he can't remember everything well yet, Pa. The doctor said he needed a familiar home environment for his memory to recover faster. Our house is a house that he is more familiar with than his other home,” said Mama did not want to lose.
“I want to talk to my wife,” said Hendra divorced her parents. They stopped talking and looked at him. “Bring only.”
“Then I will take care of his administration so that Hendra can get out as soon as possible,” Papa told me. I'm nodding. “Dan, here's a new phone and tablet to replace your broken husband's. Gista has left his new card.”
“Good. Thank you, Pa,” I said while receiving a shopping bag made of paper.
Papa half pulled Mama who still wanted to talk to her son to get out of the room. Hendra did not once take his eyes off me. This is not a good sign. My heart pounded a little faster as soon as the door closed.
“You said that you love me,” he said starting the conversation.
“Iya, I love you. What's the matter, Hendra? Why do you look angry?” askaku. I dared not step closer, worried about what facts about me he had just remembered this morning.
“You deliberately took a pregnancy-preventing drug. That's why we don't have children yet. That's also why you didn't want to sleep here with me last night. Yes, ‘kan?” ask with a suspicious look. I sigh in relief. Turns out that's the problem.
“You haven't seen the rest of the photos from that album?” I pointed towards the album that was still lying on the nightstand beside him. He looked at the album with a dislike expression.
“I don't want to see that happy pretend face.” He crossed both hands in front of his chest. I'm laughing a little. If he doesn't want to see the photos on the album, then there's another album. I saw a picture of us on vacation together in a bag.
“Sebentar.” I approached the sofa where the bag was located and took out the album I was referring to. He looked at me in confusion as I gave the big album to him. “Bukalah.”
The first photo in it was Hadi and Dira who were smiling happily. Their names are under the photo. Hendra looked at her with haru and his hand touched the name. “Hadiyan Bagas Perkasa's. Erendira Bella Mighty. What a good name. Who gave them this name?”
“You named Hadi, while Dira named me.”
“We call them Hadi and Dira? L like it. Then, where are they? Why have I never seen children?” He looked at the door before turning back to me.
“We're in the hospital, baby. I've repeatedly made special permits with Mr. Oscar's help to bring them here. But we can't keep doing that. This place is not a place for kids.”
“You're right. We can't let them catch the disease. There are a lot of sick people here. Then, come on, let's go home now. I want to meet my kids.” He gave the album back to me.
“Propa. There are a few things we need to do before we can take you home, baby.” I smiled and did not receive the album from his hands. “You please take a look at the photos in this album. I need to talk to the physiotherapy department about your next therapy.”
“Good.” He took my hand, then pulled me closer. He kissed my lips. “Thank you. You've given me two very handsome and beautiful children. Looks like I managed to fix the descent.”
“Hei! Stop calling yourself ugly!” I protested while hitting his hand, but he caught my hand first. He kissed my lips again. I sat on his lap, right above the album.
I gave her a little push to end the kiss. He hugged me tightly when his other hand was behind my head. Hm. Where did he learn to kiss like this? Ah, she must have remembered her kissing style that I liked.
“Because you guys are done talking, it's time we get ready. Cost business ...” said Papa who suddenly went into the room without knocking on the door first. “Ah, the time is not right, yes.” Papa laughs. I could only be stunned with a face that would have been as red as a tomato.
“A-I'm going to physiotherapy section.” I tried to stand up, but Hendra still had time to steal one more kiss. He can only make me ashamed. “I'll be back soon.”
I bowed my head as I passed Papa and Mama. As I walked towards the physiotherapy room, I was confused to see Sakti walking along with me. Oh. Maybe he just took care of me so that the same incident as yesterday does not happen again.
After making an agreement on therapy time and male-only trainers, I didn't want them to send a woman, with the administration, we went back to Hendra's room. I cleaned up all her personal belongings, and Sakti took her to the car.
Security guards at the hospital were deployed at the request of Dr. Andreas. Reporters couldn't get close to us when we took Hendra out the back door. Why are they at all exits? Is the news about my husband so expensive that everyone wants to cover and interview him?
Hendra and I were in a car with Sakti driving, and Papa and Mama in their car. I told her about Ara, it seems like she's the only thing she won't recognize in our house.
“Who gave him that name?” Hendra laughed out loud. I looked at him with annoyance.
“You. Who else?”
“I? Why did I give him that name? Of all the names in the world, I named our pet dog by your nickname in your family?” ask her who is still laughing.
“You should ask yourself that.”
“Maybe I'll remember it soon. Don't be mad, honey,” she said as she hugged me. “I gave that name for sure because there was only you in my head.”
“Basic gumbal. Since your memory returned, your mouth is sweet too.”
“I have to be sweet because tonight I will celebrate something with you,” he said meaningfully. I turned towards the rearview mirror and saw Sakti smiling.
“There's someone else with us in this car. Watch your words,” I say loath. “Again you have just returned from the hospital, does not mean you can do strenuous activities.”
“It was not a strenuous activity. I just want to sleep hugging you. What do you think we're gonna do tonight, baby?” goda. So annoying.
Unlike in the morning, this afternoon there were a lot of reporters waiting at the gate of our house. If it wasn't for this house helping Hendra remember faster, I would have taken him to our apartment.
The situation there was easier for him because he did not need to go up and down the stairs. All can be accessed by elevator. There is also a sports room complete with various tools that can be used for free. We didn't have it at home so I had to rent some equipment until he recovered later.
All the workers and some of our friends were ready to welcome us. As soon as the gates were opened, they encouraged the reporters not to rush into the grounds of the house. If they're reckless, Mr. Oscar and my brother are ready to sue them one by one on charges of trespassing on property.
Friends' car filled our yard, Hendra looked around carefully. When Sakti stopped the car in front of the terrace, Abdi was ready to open the door. I got out first, Liando and Sakti immediately put a new wheelchair by the door. They helped my husband to get out of the car and sit down.
“I can already walk.” Hendra laughed a little at our behavior.
“I know. But the doctor forbids you to force yourself. You don't mind, ‘kan, honey?” askaku. She smiles.
“Take it easy. I am a good patient. I will not tantrum and then shout at you for my helplessness. Anyway this is only temporary,” he said understanding.
“Can you guys skip that affectionate gaze and continue it inside the house only?” zach protests. “We can't possibly keep standing like this. And I'm hungry.”
I saw him and our friends standing close together covering the view of the people from the direction of the gate. They stood from near the car to the front door of the house. Oh. They did this so that journalists could not take pictures of Hendra with his wheelchair.
Why would they bother to do that? Hendra did not mind his situation. Before my sister protested again, we immediately approached the front door. Sakti and Liando helped lift the wheelchair as it climbed the terrace stairs.
“I'm sorry I have troubled you all,” said Hendra quietly.
“Do not hesitate, Sir. We are glad to be able to help Sir,” Abdi said.
Hendra refused my help when I wanted to push the wheelchair. I relented by taking her to the side of the house. Although she looked confused as to why I did not bring her into the dining room, she complied.
