Chapter 185 - One Problem Completed

“Om Nelson,” my answer is short. It wasn't the three people Papa thought did it, but the others. People who are nice to them but stab from behind.

“Dad and his daughter are the same. Why did he spread the news?” ask Papa not understand. “He wants his daughter to marry you, why ruin my good name?”

“To distract the public from the big case that ensnared him,” I replied casually. Papa rounded his eyes.

“Large case? You mean, he was also involved in that corruption case?” ask Papa not to believe. I'm nodding.

“Iya. His fictitious organization earns large sums of money from donors. He used it for his political career coupled with debt here and there. Unfortunately, he lost the legislative election. To cover his debt, he teamed up with Vivaldo to win a major project. Project not running but budget money remains depleted.”

“How did he and Vivaldo get to know each other?” ask Papa wonder.

“It looks like Vivaldo promised help to Nora and Dicky if they managed to separate us both. Because it is not only Om Nelson, Om Garry also got a part of the big project.” I deliberately lowered my voice so that only we would hear the news. Nora and Dicky's father is not a random person.

“Wow, this case involves many influential people. Surely investigators will have trouble catching these big guys.” Papa clucked slowly. I smile.

“The evidence is already there, just left to the authorities, Pa. Om Nelson and Om Garry will not be able to kink anymore. They also lost supporters, impossible they could get funds to help bribe officers. Vivaldo won't even open his mouth, he can't protect them anymore.”

“This is why I don't want to get involved in politics. They threatened to destroy my efforts though, I did not want to give them money. Better our company is destroyed than our good name is damaged by corruption.” Papa looked at me meaningfully.

“Papa don't worry. I'm not going into politics either. I just want to be a businessman like Papa. I have no ambition to be a board member or regional leader,” I said calming him down. “Interrors in the company and family have been many, I do not want to add to my burden again.”

Along the way to the house, Za was silent. Not like when we left. He didn't stop talking because he was worried about Mama. I thought about not going home but stopping by somewhere. But with this situation, I wasn't sure that she would enjoy taking a walk with me.

As Papa said, there are a lot of influential people involved. Papa's right. I was surprised once Irwan read the top five names on the list. They are already wealthy, why else engage in fictitious projects and ruin their own names?

“You won't be involved in a budget game, ‘kan, darling?” za asked as we sat back together in the living room.

“How am I interested in big money when my wife does not like to spend the money I give her?” I pretend to be sad. He immediately hugged my body.

“Confidence once you. I didn't love you when we got married. Which woman wants to marry an arrogant man like you?” tanyakanya.

“Many, darling. So much and you have seen it for yourself. You know, you're the one who's being arrogant. I'm being very sweet to you.” I kissed his lips. As I distanced myself, she held my head with her hands behind my neck, then kissed me back. “There are passionate.”

“Very. I hate this fast,” lamented slowly. I laugh.

“Having a good-bodied husband is indeed very tempting, dear.” He grunted softly.

“It's just hormones. Whoever my husband is, I will feel the same,” he said arrogantly. I distanced myself to be able to look at her face carefully. He smiled against me.

“Whatever is your husband?” I squinted my eyes.

“Calling another man is not a joke. You know very well I don't like you mentioning about other men in our conversation,” I said seriously. His face turned sad. “What's up, baby? Sorry, did I misspoke?”

“I love you, Hendra,” he said slowly. I looked at him confused. “And I'm afraid of losing you.”

“I love you too, dear.” I caressed her cheek. “You won't lose me. I was right here. I'm not going anywhere.”

“You saw for yourself that Nora still has a good relationship with Mama. Mama has seen and heard all the crimes she has committed. What if someday they manage to separate us?” said sad. I smile.

“Then I will marry you again,” I replied casually. She was too high in her influence on me. Did he not know that I had not bowed to any of the things my parents had told me when they were against my conscience?

“Can you take my worries seriously once?” said annoyed.
