Hendra and I decided not to interfere in Helmut and Qiana's domestic affairs. It would be useless for us to tell Qiana about what we just saw. But Hendra allowed me to tell him at the right time.
He's correct. We were on vacation together. Making a fuss in this place would only ruin the holiday atmosphere we had planned together. If Qiana herself had caught her husband wet it would have been better than us complaining without proof.
The atmosphere of the restaurant at lunchtime was much worse. There are so many people who come to fill the dining room inside and outside the restaurant. I took advantage of the situation to sit on my husband's lap. Friends tease me whom I respond with a smile.
“Do you guys want to come with us to watch a movie in my room or do you have your own plans?” darla asked his gaze towards the husbands.
“I just want to sit idling, so I'll come with my dear wife.” Edu smiled. We looked towards Helmut and Gio. They also agree with Edu. And no one asked Hendra.
“He doesn't need to be asked. We already know the answer,” Darla said as she blinked her eyes. They laughed together when I was just pouting.
“You want me to get some more fruit?” asked Hendra looking towards my empty plate. I immediately nodded my head. Our whistling friends tease us.
Not only Hendra, my best friend's husbands also stood up and walked to the counter where the cut fruits were served. My husband walked over to the counter filled with cake and bread. If she's not careful, my friends can suspect that I'm pregnant.
A young woman came to the same counter. He looked at Hendra, but my husband was only focused on choosing the cake and not looking at him. Then the woman's mouth moved saying something. Then his hand pretended to take the same bread so that his hand came into contact with Hendra's. Brash girl.
I intended to stand up to teach the woman a lesson, but Hendra did it first. I don't know what he said so the woman left in a fit of annoyance, away from him. Goody. Didn't he see a ring on Hendra's right hand? Female eye duitan. He must have been interested to see the appearance of my husband which showed that he was a bear man. Because if you only rely on his face, no woman will want to tease him.
Not knowing what event was at the hotel, we saw a bonfire lit by the beach. After dinner, we walked up to the crowd surrounding the fire. It turned out that they were just a group on vacation together, there were no special events and we were welcome to join. I've been wearing warm clothes, so I won't be cold near the beach.
We sat together around the fire. Hendra who had sat first patted the place in front of his body, then I sat between his legs. I smiled as he hugged me from behind. I leaned my back against his chest. Sitting in this position feels warmer.
It's not just the married couples that are made up of different age ranges sitting around us. There are also those who bring children or come with friends. I smiled at the children grilling sausages and vegetables near the campfire. The delicious aroma of food immediately filled the place.
“Do you know the famous legend of this island that I like?” whispered Hendra near my ear. I looked towards him.
“What?” aska I want to know.
“Legenda Putri Ayu,” replied.
“Ah, I know the legend. About the four sons of the king who sought the source of the fragrant smell they smelled. Only one of them managed to reach the goal and it turned out that the fragrance came from a tree. There was a beautiful girl standing near the tree that made the king's son fall in love. They were married and the king's son lived with his wife.” I told him so excitedly. “Why do you like that legend?”
“Because you are Princess Ayuku.” He kissed my cheek. “It's not easy to get you. I had to go through various obstacles and it took me years to be with you. As the king's son. Thank you for staying with me, baby.”
I looked at him, then kissed his lips. He smiled and kissed me again. We still hugged each other and enjoyed the wind getting colder, hearing the sound of the waves colliding with the waves coming, as well as the sound of the rustling of wood burning fire.
Someone strummed the guitar, I smiled at the tone I knew. When the man sang the first lyrics of the song, we also hummed along with him. I finally found someone who knocks me off my feet. I finally found the one who makes me feel complete.*
After breakfast on Sunday, we relax in our rooms. Hendra won't let me pack clothes. Since I did it before departure, it was her turn to pack before our return. I don't mind that.
Friends came out of their room together as Hendra closed the door. We walked together to the elevator. Only Helmut is not among us.
“He's waiting downstairs. I missed my favorite sweater in the bathroom, so I went back to my room,”, Qiana said. We nodded in understanding.
Arriving on the ground floor, we walked towards the reception counter. Darla and her husband were talking to the officers, while we sat on the provided sofa. Qiana looked around us in confusion. Maybe she's looking for her husband. Because the suitcase is in the waiting room, while Helmut is nowhere to be seen.
“Let me look for it,” said Hendra volunteered. Qiana immediately shook her head.
“You take care of your wife, let me find your husband,” Qiana said in a teasing tone. Lindsey and I laughed at it. “I'll be back soon.”
I know what Hendra was thinking when he offered his help. But we can't do anything. Had Helmut been somewhere kissing a woman yesterday, I would have lost respect for her. One time is an understandable mistake, not the second time.
“You should follow your best friend,” whispered Hendra reminded. I'm nodding. I followed Qiana by keeping a safe distance. Hearing the footsteps behind me, I looked up. Lindsey walked with me with a happy face.
“Do you also want to go to the toilet? I'm coming.” He misunderstood me, but I didn't correct him. Qiana stopped as she looked at something on her left. “What's with Qiana?”
“Why is Nidya here?” qiana asked after we were nearby. Lindsey and I looked in the direction she was looking. The woman Helmut kissed yesterday.
“We accidentally met when I came out of the toilet,” Helmut replied. He walked closer to his wife. The woman did not seem to like it when the man embraced my best friend.
“Oh, yes? Who did you come to this hotel with, Nidya? Why do you just greet my husband and not greet me too?” qiana asked curiously.
“I have a meeting with our party-mates,” replied the woman calmly. Qiana looked around. The woman named Nidya exchanged glances with Helmut.
“Who? Where are they? Why not take my husband to your meeting too?” ask Qiana.
“Honey, we have to go.” Helmut looked towards the receptionist. We also looked in the same direction. Darla waved her hand towards us. “Darla is waiting for us.”
“You wanna see when you guys lie to me like this? Do you think I didn't see what you guys just did behind this wall?” qiana said with a trembling voice. I saw Helmut's face paled. Oh. No. gabe. Did Qiana see what Hendra and I had seen?
“My husband is married, are you not ashamed of the people who passed by to see your sins?” Qiana raised her hand as Nidya opened her mouth like she wanted to say something. “No need to deny because above there is CCTV. It's easy for me to get proof that you guys just kissed so affectionately.”
