The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 47 - The Woman of My Brother's Choice

Kafin was ready to go home to his parents to propose to his girlfriend that weekend, so Liando drove the car for me. I deliberately set off faster from home to avoid the traffic jams that often occur before Sunday night.

After giving Liando some money so he could eat something while waiting for me, I got out of the car. Why would my sister pick a mall when she could have picked one of those cafes outside a shopping mall that big, I don't know.

Fortunately, the cafe location was pretty close to the main entrance of the mall, so I didn't have to walk deep into the building or jostle in the elevator just to get to our meeting place. I looked around the cafe as the waiter greeted me kindly. Zach was raising his hand to grab my attention.

The waiter followed me to the table. My eyes were fixed on the lady's bag that was on the chair beside Zach. Oh. So this means asking me to meet. I sat down, opened the menu, and mentioned my order. Zach and his girlfriend have booked in advance.

“Where is he?” my question is meaningful. Zach smile.

“Med to toilet. He'll be back soon.” He looked towards the entrance of the cafe.

“So, when will you get married?” ask again. He's laughing a little.

“Kak, please don't do this in front of him later.” He gave me a warning. I smile at the smile. “We've just been in a relationship for the past month. I'm not sure about our relationship yet, but she loves me so much.”

“Because he keeps giving you attention, then you finally give up and are willing to be his girlfriend? Whoa, Zach. Turns out you can also be conquered.” I'm laughing a little.

“Please Brother laugh at me as much. When Big Brother sees her later, Big Brother will understand why I am not confident.” He looked towards the entrance. “That's it coming.”

I looked behind me and saw a very beautiful girl smiling at Zach, then at me. I stood up and welcomed his hand. We introduced each other. Official, a pretty name like hers. I looked at Zach meaningfully. Now I understand why she hesitates, this girl is so beautiful. He could have chosen another man better but he chose my sister?

Seeing them sitting together in front of me, I thought they were very compatible. Zach is a handsome guy even though I don't want to admit it. After all, no sibling is willing to honestly acknowledge the advantages of his own brother. At least me and Zach are.

“It's nice to meet you, Brother Zahara,” said the girl politely.

“I too, Official. Please, call me Ara like Zach called me. It's kind of weird when he calls me Ara, when on the other hand you call me by my first name.”

“Good, Brother Ara,” said according to. “Zach has a lot to say about Brother. Is Brother really a writer?” I nodded my head. “My family has a publisher that has received many books with good sales. If you need help, tell me.”

“Publisher?” I don't believe in that coincidence.

“Iya.” He then mentioned the name of the publisher included in the publisher who applied for my book. I smiled hearing it. “What's up, Brother?”

“Oh, yes? There must be other publishers who send the same email. Brother don't worry. Whichever one you choose, I won't be offended. Business is business, family is family. I won't mix it.”

“Family?” I was interested in that sentence. I looked towards Zach.

“Iya. I want to marry Zach. But he is still in doubt about our relationship.” He looked back at me. “Do you think my sister is less beautiful? I'm not a good woman? What should I do to get Zach to marry me?”

“Ng, the ...” I looked towards my sister before looking back at Rasmi. “You sure you want to marry my sister? He is not a pleasant man.”

“Kak, we've been friends since we were in college. Although different majors, we often meet in the library or canteen of my campus. She and her friends often have lunch there because, of course, students of the economics faculty are pretty-beautiful.” Me and Rami laughed a little.

“I know he came because he was forced by his friends. Because he's the only student pouting at their desk. If it wasn't me who introduced myself and came to talk to him, maybe until now we would just be friends.” He sighed softly. “I've known some of his vices and I still love him.” Waw.

“Zach, what else are you looking for? If there is something in him that needs to be changed, you can say directly so that nothing stuck in your heart,” I said giving advice.

“I just asked for time, he even wants to get married as soon as possible. We have just had a month of romance, Brother,”, Zach said.

“I've been waiting for eight years to hear his love, does that mean I have to wait another eight years to hear his proposal, Kak?” Official put on a face. This woman really does not give up easily.

“You won't wait that long, Official. I'm sure Zach is just waiting for the right time to marry you. She has just started her career and I'm sure she wants to give the best for you as a husband.” I looked towards Zach. “But don't wait until you can afford a car and a house. You don't need that in marriage.”

“Tuh, you heard what Brother Ara.” said Rasmi soon chimed.

“Originally you are responsible and loyal, that is enough.” I smiled at Zach.

“I'm sorry to bring you two together.” Zach patted his forehead. Me and Rasmi laughed at him. The snacks and drinks we ordered came, the serious conversation turned into a casual chat.

Hearing what the woman's family was like, I understood why Zach wasn't confident. Not only is she beautiful and intelligent, she also comes from a wealthy and distinguished family. Although Rasmi said that he was confident in his choice, we did not know what his family would respond if they knew that we were just a family from the bottom.

Satisfied to talk until we forget time, we finally decided to meet again at a later time. They want to watch a movie in the cinema and have already bought tickets. I don't want to come because I've booked a place for dinner. At the time of parting in front of the cafe, they chose to walk towards the inside of the mall, while I went to the exit.

“Ara?” I heard someone calling from beside me. I looked up and sighed softly. Why do I keep meeting him by chance like this?
