The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 26 - Outside the Habits

Because at lunch we enjoyed the seafood menu, then on that night we only enjoyed chicken dishes with fresh vegetables. The cool air seemed to make my appetite very good. I eat bigger portions than usual. Hendra teased me and I just ignored him.

“Or don't-don't you get pregnant, baby.?” It's a joke I can't ignore. No. gabe. I can't possibly be pregnant. I can't get pregnant. Wait for. I didn't forget to take the medicine, ‘kan? Feels yes. Yes, I take her medicine every time she's asleep.

“What's up, baby? Why do you look so panicked?” I almost jumped in shock feeling his touch on my hand. Ara, take care of your attitude. Don't make him suspicious.

“I'm fine. I was jumping on the beach when we were playing water.” I touched my stomach to make a dramatic impression. “If I'm really pregnant, something could happen to her.”

“You just jump around and don't fall. If you are pregnant, your child will be fine. You're being overdone. Only if you drink liquor, then there is a high chance that you will injure the fetus in your womb.” said Hendra casually. I have to admit that I was surprised to hear she knew so much about pregnancy.

“How can you know that?” manya curious.

“I want us to have a child soon. Of course I am looking for a lot of information that I need to take care of you and our child later,” he replied in a proud tone. He was really serious about his promise to both of our parents. No. gabe. More than that. He really wanted the presence of a child in our marriage.

Just natural. He is no longer young. Hearing our parents keep asking about grandchildren, surely he also felt the same longing. Even though he was busy working and did not have much time to relax, on his way home from work, he definitely started to feel something was lacking inside the house. I who welcomed him home would not be enough anymore. He hoped that there were children who also welcomed him when he returned home.

The next day, we woke up early and packed up to return to Banda Aceh. The boat we were going to be on wasn't going to leave that early but my husband still wanted to visit one more place before we crossed over. There was only one very famous place that we could visit without spending a lot of time.

When we were about to arrive, I knew that my guess was correct. Tugu Kilometer Zero. There is only one family who are in a location that is busy taking photos near the large and artistic monument. I sigh in relief. That way, I can take pictures around the place without having to fight with others.

This monument has become a symbol of its own for the city of Sabang, then there will be less if you come on vacation without visiting the location. I have seen photos of this monument from various angles on sites that discuss famous attractions. But seeing it immediately gave a different impression. This monument is very beautiful with a view of the blue sky and sea in one corner. Moreover, the wind blowing is still cool because it is still morning.

Not lingering in that place, we immediately continued our journey towards the port. If we do not want to be late to catch a flight back to Jakarta, then we should not miss the ship that will leave that morning. I am grateful Hendra did not say much so I could enjoy the scenery around me.

I didn't stop smiling every time we could see the ocean. Although our vacation was not long, but I really enjoyed every thing we did. The view, the air, even the food. There are many other places I want to visit. Maybe we won't be able to return to this city anytime soon.

“You don't have to be sad. We can go back to this place anytime you want,” said Hendra as if he could read my mind.

“I know.” As I recall, I smiled to enjoy the scenery around me. Did I not realize I was putting on a sad face?

We rushed to the check-in counter and headed for the waiting room until a call came on board. We both let out a sigh of relief as we sat in our respective seats in the cabin of the plane. We looked at each other and laughed together.

Hendra suddenly moved his body and kissed my lips. I closed my eyes and looked around us. People were busy with their luggage and no one seemed to be looking at us. He's laughing a little.

“Fun, right? Occasionally do things that spur the heartbeat,” he said while putting his seat belt.

“So, you intentionally did this?” I put my seat belt on. I took a deep breath to calm my hunting breath.

“Of course. I also want to do something out of the ordinary,” he said in a proud tone. “Imagine how fun it would be if we were late to catch a flight, and then had to trouble Sherry to find the next flight ticket. It would be even more fun if we had to spend the night at the nearest hotel and our vacation increased by one more day.”

“But isn't tomorrow morning an important meeting?” askaku.

“They still have to wait until I come before they can start any discussion. I've never been late in my life. Sometimes I want to experience it too.” He blinked one eye.

During the flight, we discussed which photos I took that were interesting to put on the blog. As usual, Hendra asked me to tell him my plan before giving his opinion. I'm glad he agreed with all the photos of my choice. He also added some important info that I need to put into the article later.

Arriving at the destination airport, I went to the toilet and asked my husband to go first to the baggage claim. But he insisted on waiting for me near the toilet. I did not continue the debate and immediately entered in a queue in front of one of the cubicles.

After washing my hands and drying them, I came out of the toilet. I saw my husband was staring at his cell phone screen and a woman hit him so much that my husband's phone almost fell out of his grasp. It's not the first time I've seen a woman try to talk or attract Hendra's attention.

The thing I would never see, I saw in his eyes when the woman blatantly teased him by taking off his glasses and hanging them in the middle of his shirt collar. The woman's chest was beautiful, but she did not know that Hendra did not have the same eyes as the eyes of other men.

That sharp and cold gaze was never directed at me. Even whenever I was with him or was around him, he never showed that look in front of me, even though he was in a deep rage with his interlocutors. I waited until he looked at me, then came closer to him.

“You're done?” ask her with eyes that are much different from before. The woman turned her body and looked at me. I just nodded my head.

Hendra grabbed my hand, then took me to the baggage claim, leaving the woman standing there with a face. He must know who Hendra is. Because if he didn't, he wouldn't have teased her like that. He also knew that this man was married. Why is he trying to tease her? Can't she just seduce a single guy?
