The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 37 - Prejudice

Looking at my wife's behavior these days, it's hard to believe that she doesn't love me. She was so spoiled, not resisting my touch, even returning my kiss. I've hurt her. But he forgave me so easily and quickly. It's very different from the mistake I made when I kissed another woman. He was angry for years.

Is it possible that she changed her attitude towards me because of her pregnancy? According to many expert books I read, the hormones of a pregnant woman make her have an unexpected mood. Maybe that's the cause. I too quickly concluded that she might have fallen in love with me.

Zach wants to talk to me about something, so I don't go back to the office right away. It would be more convenient for us to talk over coffee. I love seeing him because he's always on time. Unlike most people who treat their family members as more saggy in terms of respecting time than toward their co-workers.

“You've ordered your drinks?” I watched him stand up to welcome me.

“Not yet, I just got there,” he replied. We walked to the counter and ordered our own drinks and snacks.

“New sister visits Mama and meets Ara?” zach asked as we stood waiting for our drinks to be ready.

“Iya. Mama's condition is good and she asked to go home today.” I'm laughing a little.

“That's Mama. That trait is down to Brother Ara. Always feel the strongest and uncomfortable in a weak state. I salute Brother for holding on to life with him.” Zach shook his head slowly.

We brought our drinks and food to the table, and sat down. Zach poured sugar and cream according to his taste. I prefer black coffee without anything extra. “You didn't ask me to talk about Mama and Za. What's up?”

“I want to thank you. It must be Big Brother who helped to overcome the case that I took carelessly, ‘kan?” tanyanya rhetorical. “Pak Oscar scolded me for not consulting him before answering yes to represent them.”

“You are tempted by the money they offer. That's a normal reaction.” I sipped my coffee, then put the cup back on the table. “But don't repeat. You're my company's legal counsel. I don't want to hear you're involved in a similar case anymore. I might not want to help you a second time.”

“I'm just a regular human being, brother. I can khilaf,” he said in self-defense.

“One time it was khilaf. Not for the second time, Zach.” Is he planning to repeat the same mistake? Helping her out of the case required me to pay a huge sum of money.

“OK, okay. I will not make the same mistake again,” he promised. If he remains reckless to repeat it, then I will let him feel the consequences before helping him.

“What about the girl? Until when are you going to let him chase you?” ask me about a girl friend he's known since he was in college.

“Can we discuss other topics only?” said objection.

“You won't be able to find a woman who loves you patiently like her. Let no other man come and he turns his heart away because you give no certainty. But if you don't mind him being with the others, I can tell you what.”

“Kak, we are from a different family background much,” he said reminded.

“I should never have said about him to you.” Zach muttered to himself.

“You can discuss with Za if it can make you feel better,” I said meaningfully.

“Kak Ara, her, complicated woman. I don't know what turned him into that. She is a cheerful, passionate girl, always positive. But look at him now. He turned into a short-tempered, short-tempered, and easily suspicious man. Though Sister has become a very good husband for him.” Zach shook his head slowly.

“I can't discuss anything with him in connection with romance. He won't be able to give me the input I need,” added Zach again.

“She's the woman who's been hurt. Everyone needs a different time to recover.” I lifted both my shoulders.

“If I could know. What makes you so sure to marry him? Brother Ara doesn't love Brother at all. He already has a girlfriend and they are planning to get married,” asked Zach curiously. “Ng, Brother doesn't have to answer. I understand.”

“You already know the reason. I love him and I'm sure only I can make him happy. If her boyfriend really loved her, she would have married him a long time ago. Or if money was the problem, at least she tied him up in an engagement. Vivaldo didn't do any of that,” I replied.

“Not only Big Brother, I also do not like the man,” said Zach slowly. “They have been together a long time but he never came to introduce himself to the house.”

“Therefore you must learn from the mistakes he made. Do not repeat the same. Or the girl will be gone forever from you.” I returned our topic of conversation.

“Why are we discussing this again?” He threw his hand into the air. I smiled seeing her so frustrated. “Good. He and I have been together since last week. Is Brother satisfied now?”

“It's new name is male.” I felt so proud that he finally ventured to come forward to approach the young lady. “When will you meet his family?”

“I request three months time. I don't have any feelings for him other than my dear. I haven't loved him as much as he feels for me,” Zach said slowly.

“Causible. Tell me if his family gives you trouble.” I reminded him that I was there for him.

Zach and Za are so similar. It seems like that trait was also passed down from Papa and Mama. They are so hard to fall in love. But when they already love someone, they love very deeply. That's why they would be hurt so much if betrayed.

I don't know exactly what caused my wife to marry me after she turned me down on Saturday afternoon. We never talked about it. I don't want to know the real reason either. He wants to marry me, that's enough.

But seeing her ex come to our marriage in the company of a woman, I assumed that it was the cause of their relationship being broken. Or it could be that Vivaldo took her so as not to be too embarrassed to come alone to his ex's wedding. I don't know. I didn't know what the man had done until their relationship was over.

But what keeps Za from loving her? If it's true that his heart still belongs to the man, why do I often feel that he likes what we do in bed? Is it possible that she can make love without involving her feelings at all?
