The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 217 - Blinded Love

“Mama should not bother herself about her attitude. Importantly, he's gone,” Hendra said casually. He put both his hands on my body. “But Mama don't try to deny that Mama wants to bring me closer to her.”

“Iya. Because I want you to marry a woman who loves you and can make you happy,” I'm Mama. “You only need to open your eyes to see that the woman in your arms is going to hurt you again. I'm just trying to protect you, Hendra.”

“Stop using that excuse to ruin my marriage,” said Hendra firmly.

“You have long been blinded by your love for him. How could you come back to him after he repeatedly hurt you? If you can't see his true nature, I can. I don't care if you two are on his side. I don't want to accept Zahara back as a daughter-in-law in this house!” mama's Exclamation challenging Hendra.

“I don't need Mama's permission or blessing. Like it or not, Za is my wife. I'm sorry, but I'm tired of this. I will not allow my wife to come to this house if she is still considered non-existent. Mama hires a nurse to take care of Mama.” Hendra helped me to stand up. Then he stood by my side.

“Starting today, I refused all invitations to eat, meet, or any invitation from Mama. I'm sick of dealing with women who only bring trouble into my life. I've only loved Za my whole life. I will not turn to any woman whom Mama has thrust upon me.”

“What do you mean?” mama said objected.

“Please, take care of our reputation, Ma. Let not the scandal in our family increase again. Don't you know that people are starting to talk about Mama's attitude toward me and Za? We made our pledge in front of everyone, but Mama was still looking for a way to marry me to another woman.

“And worst of all, Mama tried to bring another man closer to my wife. Please, just one time, be my real mother, not Big Lady Adhyana Mighty.”

“You, you dare to talk this presumptuous to your mother just because of her? You'd rather trust the woman who hurt you than me, your own mother?” my mother said she did not believe. “I gave birth and raised to adulthood, this is your reply?”

“I didn't ask to be born, Ma. Mom and Dad wanted a child. If I could choose, I'd rather never be born. I'm so proud of Mama for letting me live my life. The woman in front of me right now is not the mother I know.” Hendra took my hand. “We're back.”

“You will regret all your words today, Hendra. Let's just take a look. You will return to this house and kneel at my feet, begging for mercy!” my mother said that made me not believe. She was a mother, why would she have the heart to say such a thing to her own son?

“Quite, Naava! Enough's enough! You've hurt my son enough,” Papa's leerai. “If you still continue to behave this strangely, I will also leave you. So, please select.”

“A-what??” ask Mama not to believe. “You are also more on the side of that woman?”

That was the last word I heard. I looked towards Hendra who was holding me to the front door. The butler opened the door for us. I immediately went down the steps of the terrace following my husband's quick steps.

I held his hand as he was about to let go of his grasp. “I don't want you to drive like this. Calm yourself, baby. We still have kids who will lose us if something bad happens on the way later.”

Hendra took a deep breath. He kissed my forehead, then let go of my hand. “Enter. I'll drive carefully.”

He kept his word. We crossed the road smoothly without incident. The highway was already crowded with vehicles as usual on Sunday afternoon. It took me about an hour to get to my parents' house.

Zach and his family had already arrived, so we could have a casual chat. I'm glad to see Hendra has calmed down and behaved as usual. Mama busied herself in the kitchen and kicked me out too Officially who wanted to help her.

Unlike usual, Will didn't call us to leave Colin. They must've gone all three somewhere today. That's a good thing. They will soon become a family, so spending time together like this will help them get along faster.

Hendra didn't let me sit by myself. He pulled my hand to sit on his lap. I don't know what's wrong with him today. I understand he wanted to affirm our relationship in front of his parents earlier. But in front of my family, he didn't have to show our affection. My family knew that we were crazy about each other.

“Next week we hold a seven-monthly event. You guys should come. I've also invited friends Big Brother that fussy.” Rasmi glanced at me. I laugh. “They can not attend the event Aunt Naava, but should be on my show.”

“They're definitely coming. The event that my mother-in-law held was of a sudden nature, so they did not have time to reset their schedule.” I received a cup of tea from my husband. “How is the child? Do you know her gender?”

Rasmi and Zach exchanged looks. “We decided to keep it a secret. We hope this time women are the same as Big Brother, but men are also no problem,” replied Officially with a happy smile.

There was a hint of jealousy when I saw her possessive hand movements on her already big belly. Not wanting to let the sorrow of losing a child overwhelm me, I threw that thought away from my head. My little baby is calm there.

“Come, time to eat!” call Mama. We immediately cheered happily.

Long time no see and share stories, friends invited me to meet at our favorite cafe. Ara complained softly because she was left alone again at home. But I couldn't bring it, the cafe we went to didn't allow visitors to bring pets.

Qiana began her story by boasting her first son who was about to graduate. She invited us all to her Thanksgiving at their home. He continues his story of Helmut trying his best to divide his time between being a member of the board and a party administrator.

Lindsey talked more about Charlotte's development and their plans to go to America. Claudia has started to accept her daughter's departure and wants to spend the summer with her granddaughter. I am so glad to hear the good news.

Darla shares about her daughter's pregnancy. He even showed USG photos of his first grandchild. I'm glad to see everyone is happy. I hope our lives will continue like this.

“Is Keva the next woman who will be your rival, Zahara?” ask Darla with a smile full of meaning. I'm laughing a little. Qiana laughed, only Lindsey was confused herself.

“Iya. But my husband has spoken seriously with his mother. And incidentally, Keva was also at my in-laws' house. Hendra refused to be brought close to any women again. Because he and I are married,” I replied.

“What are you talking about? Who's Keva?” lindsey didn't understand.

“Keva Heilyn's. The hospitality entrepreneur who took over her husband's company after he passed away six months ago,” Qiana replied. “Me and Darla came late to Aunt Naava's show. We saw him talking very closely with the woman. Early signs that she is the woman Aunt chose to be her daughter-in-law.”

“I don't understand. Why does Aunt Naava hate you so much that she wants to separate you and your husband? I know what it's like to have a child who chooses to be with someone we don't like. Is not the happiness of our children the most important thing? Yes, you have made a mistake. You and Hendra managed to handle it well, then what else is the problem?” ask Lindsey. I can't answer that question.

“By the way, I got an invitation to the inauguration of a new hotel owned by Keva. Were you invited too?” ask Darla. I was shocked when I saw the three of us nodding their heads. We laughed together because this rarely happens. Usually only two or three of us get invited to the same event.

“Hai!” Someone stood by me, greeting us all. “I didn't know that you guys were friends. It's a pleasant surprise.” I raised my head to look at the woman's face.
