Chapter 202 - Blunt

I looked towards my husband. He was waiting for me to answer his mother's question. Mama also waited with her eyes fixed on me. Papa smiled meaningfully. Instead of breaking up their debate, Papa let me be in this position.

“I'm on time, so I agree with my husband, Auntie. Sorry, we can't have lunch with Aunt and Papa,” I replied without hesitation.

The question you ask is the easiest one to answer. I love him very much and always want to please him. But I know that whatever I do for her at this point, she still hopes to separate me from my husband.

After all he knew that whenever I was on two options, I always chose Hendra. I won't change that habit just to win her heart. I felt my husband slowly squeezing my shoulder. Mama just nodded slowly, then turned to look at Papa.

“Come, darling. We're eating now. Let them with their own world.” Mama took Papa and ignored both of us.

“Until Monday, Auntie,” said I was taking them away. Papa reminded Hendra to drive carefully as they walked towards the dining room, while we headed for the front door.

Hendra kissed my temple before helping me into the car. I put on my seatbelt and we went to our date. As Mama said earlier, the traffic was so heavy that Hendra's car crept on the highway. But there is a mall that is not far from the house of Papa and Mama that can be used as an option. There's a movie theater in it. That's all we need. For restaurants, we can choose one of the dozens of places to eat available.

I was waiting in line to buy a ticket when Hendra bought snacks and drinks for both of us. We enjoyed the meal while waiting for our turn to reach the counter. Of all the movie options, only horror movies still have empty seats that are quite far from the screen. We decided to watch the movie.

Waiting until the movie started, we had lunch at the restaurant of my choice. He ordered so much food that I had to cut his words before the waiter recorded all the dishes in the menu he mentioned. He just laughed a little.

“We have an hour more time, why not wait while filling the stomach here? If we just order anything, they'll kick us out later. So, choosing a lot of food is a safe way so that we can sit long here.” He put his cell phone on the table.

“Iya. But we can't eat it all at once. Our digestion takes time to process the incoming food before we stuff it again with other foods.” I nodded slowly, not believing. He's laughing a little.

“Do you know what I would love to do now?” tanyakanya. I shook my head slowly. I'm not a mind reader, so I don't know what's in his head. “I want to kiss every part of your body and make you ...”

“Hendra!” I immediately covered her mouth with my hand. The people around us turned their heads but they soon returned busy with their own food. My husband laughed at my palm. “We are in public place.” I took my hand away from her. He held it and kissed my palm.

“I love you, baby. Thank you for choosing to date with me.” He put my palm on his cheek.

“You know that I will always prefer you compared to anyone in this world.” I smile. “While I don't want to see Mama disappointed, I know that I won't be with her all day. Different from you. I sleep and wake up with you by my side. If you're angry, I won't stare at your back all night.”

“Good. You understand which side you should always choose.” He smiled with satisfaction as he let go of my hand from his grasp. “Is Mama still discussing her oncology doctor?”

“Every time we were both in the room. But I just kept quiet and gave no response. My attitude did not relax his intentions at all.” I sighed softly.

“Mama will introduce another woman to you?” I just don't believe it.

“Iya. I don't know when. Maybe later after it gets better. When will you do another check with Gerhard?”

“Late this month.” I thank the waiter who came to deliver our ordered drinks. “What does that have to do with the check?”

“If Mama is proven to be clean from cancer, then she will definitely start her action soon. You prepare. Don'worry. I won't be tempted by anyone. You're the only woman I want.”

“While we have been fasting for so long, you still want me?” I just don't believe it.

“This fast only makes me want you more. After all I always get what I need even if we are not physically united ...”

“Hendra!” I closed his mouth with my hand. He laughed out loud. He doesn't usually speak out without first thinking.

Our order food began to be delivered, we did not delay to eat it because we were hungry. Our topic of conversation focuses only on the foods we enjoy. It doesn't feel as good as Fahri's, but I can't complain. Letting our chef rest for a day will make him happy.

As I thought, all that food we couldn't finish. Hendra asked the waiter to wrap it up so we could take it. He knew that the security guards at the cinema would not allow us to bring the food. So as a way out, we went back to the parking lot to store the food, then to the cinema.

He put his hand on my shoulder and I hugged his back. We walked around and talked about the movie we were going to see. He showed the trailer of the film through his mobile phone. Not too scary. But I don't mind pretending to be afraid to be able to hug her throughout the movie. What an interesting plan.

Not far in front of us was a group of people who seemed to be in a row. A man and a woman face three women. Judging from the posture, they were not children or teenagers anymore. What do they do by making a fuss in a public place?

“Isn't that Gista?” I asked so much to recognize the woman standing with a man. The man stood in front protecting the woman from the three men who confronted them. “Sherry? What did he do with fighting in a crowd like this?”

“We'd better not interfere.” Hendra led me away from them, but I didn't want to obey him this time. “Honey, it's none of our business.”

“Gista is my friend too. I won't let your ex-secretary hurt her.” I walked half-in to come with me. He finally relented.

Gista and the man seemed to be unwilling to make a fuss by trying to leave, but Sherry and the two women who were with him continued to block their path. Poor Will. I could see from the light of his eyes that he was serious about his feelings for Gista. But the girl seems to have a boyfriend. How to tell this fact later without breaking his heart?
