The Untouched Heart

The Untouched Heart
Chapter 52 - The Event Keeps Running

I was tired and sleepy and couldn't stop thinking. What will happen tomorrow? Will the marriage continue or be annulled? I'm worried about Darla and Gio. They have invited many people and spent no small amount of money. If the marriage is cancelled, they will be disappointed.

“Why haven't you slept?” Hendra came out of the bathroom, then put out the lights. He walked towards the side of the bed. “You think of Darla and the wedding tomorrow.”

“Iya. What happens if the wedding is cancelled?” manyworry. He lay by my side.

“The wedding will continue. It's like you've never experienced it. We had a big fight the night before our wedding. And I managed to persuade you to keep marrying me.” He kissed my forehead. “Sleep. Tomorrow will be a tiring day.”

“Why is there still a man who thinks that making friends with the opposite sex is safe when he already has a lover? Don't they know that many women fall in love easily because of attention?” askaku.

“I did not make friends with the opposite sex before or now when with you,” replied Hendra.

“That sentence again. I can't believe you've never been friends with a woman before me.”

“I'm serious. You are my first and last girlfriend. Are group friends or study buddies among friends? I don't think. Because I did not choose to be with him, but rather determined by the teacher or lecturer,” he explained.

“You should not like it when I am friends with the opposite sex.”

“Bertains? They touch you alone I won't allow.” He immediately hugged my body. “Have spoken. Come, sleep.” I smiled hearing it. He could no longer be described as a jealous husband, even possessiveness was not a suitable word to describe his attitude towards the attention of people to me, especially the opposite sex.

Maybe this is called love. I also felt it when I was with Aldo. Until I felt the pain of the betrayal he had with another woman. If I didn't have any feelings for him, it wouldn't hurt that much. But because at that moment I loved her so much, her betrayal destroyed me.

“Build, dear.” I felt like I was just slumbering when I felt someone rubbing my cheek. “You should get ready soon. Your makeup artist has arrived.”

“I'm still sleepy.” I turned around so he wouldn't disturb my sleep again. I heard his laughter. Not long after, I smelled a very pleasant smell. Ukh, my stomach's been asking to be filled because of that scent. I had to open my eyes.

“Finally, you wake up too.” Hendra kissed my cheek. I saw a plate with sandwiches placed right in front of my face. “Only food can make you wake up quickly.” I hit his arm hearing his taunts.

He helped me sit down. I received a glass of water from him and took a sip of it to taste, and I ate the bread. The atmosphere of the room is clear, what time is it? I looked up at my watch on the nightstand. It's nine in the morning!

“Why did you just wake me up? I only have an hour to get ready,” I said in a panic. I put the plate on the nightstand, then lowered my feet to the floor.

“You just need to shower and dress up. One hour is enough.” He stopped me from getting out of bed and returning the plate. “Spend your bread. Take a shower and come to the front room. Your makeup artist has arrived.” I obey.

At ten o'clock, Hendra and I were in the courtyard area of the hotel. Princess Darla's wedding takes on the theme of a garden party. With a location close to the beach, the wind blowing in the garden was quite strong. Fortunately our twin dress skirts touch our ankles, so we don't have to be afraid our thighs will be visible when the skirt is blown off.

The two brides seemed to have managed to talk about their problems well. The marriage continues. The ceremony went well, followed by lunch. Me and my two friends sat at the same table. Only Darla is not with us.

“Both friend Brady is coming. Daphina was jealous. They had agreed that the woman would not be invited, but last night she came.” Lindsey looked in the direction where the woman in question was sitting.

“Ahh, Brady's friend a woman.” Qiana nodded in understanding.

“Iya. Daphina's jealousy was justified. The girl several times made Brady have to choose between her and her lover. And the man made the mistake of preferring his best friend.” Lindsey shrugged both of her shoulders.

“Because of that their relationship broke up.” Qiana nodded her head. “I don't mind men befriending women as long as they don't go anywhere alone. There should always be other friends with them. That way, will not grow different feelings between them.”

“It is better not to be friends with the opposite sex again when it is tied to marriage. It was the seed of the beginning of the affair,” Lindsey reminded. “Me and Edu are very strict in that regard. Moreover, we both had a relationship with our own good friends.”

“My husband won't cheat on me. Yes, ‘kan, Pa?” Qiana touched her husband's hand. Helmut raised his wife's hand and kissed her.

“I am loyal to you, Ma,” he replied with a happy face. Qiana blushed in embarrassment, we chuckled at her. For a while, we teased them both.

After the reception was over, we went back to our rooms. Hendra and I took turns using the bathroom. I sighed in relief at being able to wear a loose dress again. We were going to have dinner on the terrace of the restaurant, so I wore warm clothes so as not to get cold.

The newlyweds honeymooned at a different hotel not far from us, while the other guests headed to the airport to return to their city. Only we knew each other at this hotel.

“We can have dinner in the room only if you feel tired, dear.” We walked together to the elevator.

“I'm fine. We just sat and talked during the wedding. I'm not tired at all,” I said calming him down. She smiles.

We were the last ones to come. My three friends and their husbands arrived first. We could grab as much food as we needed that was available at the counter. I really like buffets.

As is our custom, no one talks while we are eating. We just started to discuss light things when enjoying desserts. Helmut invites the men to continue the night to the bar. Hendra seemed to object, but I encouraged him to follow them. I'm going back to my room with my best friends.

“What exactly is your secret, Zahara? How could your husband love to die to you?” ask Qiana curiously. We laughed a little.

“No secrets whatsoever. You should have asked Hendra.” Only he knows the answer to that question.

“Maybe so attitude of husband whose love is greater than wife, yes. Please, don't misunderstand me.” Qiana apologized. I nodded in understanding. He's right, so I won't be mad. “Regarding our discussion at the reception earlier, I also do not agree we remain friends with the opposite sex after marriage. But Helmut and I always argue about it.”

“To avoid arguments, you prefer to disagree with me.” Lindsey nodded in understanding. Qiana.

“My husband is close to a woman. She is young, smart, and very beautiful. Every time I asked, he always said that they were just political friends, nothing more.” Qiana's face turned sad. “But he started defending his friend more than me. Just like what happened to Daphina. And I began to feel that my husband was cheating behind my back.”
