“I won't go back to him, if that's what you're afraid of.” Hendra looked at both of my eyes intently as I said that sentence. “I, Zahara Aprilia, very, very, very, very much love you, Mahendra Satya Mighty.” She smiles.
“Even if anyone tries to separate us and is so sure that I will beg him to come back to me, I choose to die rather than be separated from you,”.
“Do not talk carelessly. You can't die.” He looked at me sharply. Then he squinted his eyes. “Hm. I became curious. What would she do that she was so confident that you would beg her to come back to you?”
“I don't know.” I lifted both my shoulders.
“You never begged me to come back to you. Me again, I beg again. I beg you to accept my love. I begged you to accept my proposal. I also beg you to come back to me.” He put on a pouting face. I kissed her lips.
“Sayang.” I put on a face. “Do not go again from my life. Please stay by my side until the end. Just love me. Please do not tempt other women. I wouldn't be able to live without you.” She laughs. “Why are you laughing?”
“Because you are so adorable. You've never done this. There is usually a rebuttal you say whenever I ask you to do something for me.” He put one of his hands behind my head, then hugged me and pushed me until we were both in a lying position. He kissed my lips as I screamed in surprise.
“Please sound. Children can wake up.” He kissed me again. “I'd rather have fun with you than talk.”
“Hendra, what if someone sees us?” manyworry.
“Let them see us.”
The four of us watched Hendra trying to light a bonfire. He forbade us to help. I mocked him because I thought he would use a cool way to make a fire, apparently just by using a lighter. Not interesting at all.
Not taking it with my tap, she hugged me until I was lying on the mat. I immediately laughed holding amusedly as he touched the sensitive part on my waist. The kids thought we were playing so they did the same. I asked for mercy but no one cared.
I helped Dira put the potato that was pierced into an iron at a considerable distance from the fire. He held the iron on the handle so as not to feel hot. I smiled seeing him so concentrated on keeping his potatoes from spoiling. Ara stood up fretfully, waiting for her part of the meat to ripen.
Hendra had put some other iron skewers containing various foods on his backer so we didn't have to hold them. Chicken, beef, vegetables, and tubers whose aroma makes our stomachs increasingly rumbling. We cheer in unison as he declares that our food is ripe. Ara even barked.
“Enak, Pa.” Hadi bit his grilled chicken thigh with a happy face.
“Enak!” said Dira does not want to lose. He then pointed towards a corn. “You it.”
“Bby. Eat a lot, baby.” Hendra put a grilled corn on his daughter's plate. Dira says thank you.
“We're still here tomorrow, Pa?” ask Hadi.
“Only until lunch hour. Our groceries are not enough for one more night,” replied Hendra. Hadi seemed to think for a moment. I smiled seeing him.
“We take the groceries then come back here again?” tanyakanya.
“Oh, yes? Where is it, Pa? Are we going camping again?” tanyanya expectantly. Hendra did not answer his question, only giving him a hint that we would all love to be in that place.
With our stomachs full, we sat together enjoying the warmth of the campfire, hearing the sound of the night animals getting louder, and the increasingly swift river current. It looks like rain is falling on higher ground. Dira sat on her papa lap, while Hadi sat in front of me so I could hug her from behind.
Hendra hummed the tune of a song, then we sang it together. Children's songs. Starting from “Cicak on Wall”, “Sayang Everything”, “Birds Kakaktua”, “Pelangi”, which we sing one by one. Dira likes the song titled “Naik Delman” because there are funny lyrics when calling the sound of horseshoes. We sang it a few times.
“I have lost many moments of their growth both.” Hendra rubbed Hadi's hair sleeping on his side. We were already lying in the tent, preparing to sleep. Hadi and Dira have fallen asleep after tired of singing together. They were lying between the two of us.
“You won't lose the next moment.” I touched his hand. He smiled, then kissed the back of my hand.
“It's a shame we're not in a room alone.” Hendra looked at me meaningfully. I nodded slowly to understand his point. “Hey, don't blame me. I just want to pay five years can't be close to you.”
“That happened because of your own fault.” I stick my tongue out at him.
“You can't complain tomorrow night. I'll reply to your taunts.” He squinted his eyes. I'm laughing a little.
Hadi made good use of his last day to be in this place. She swam all over, running around with Ara, also playing with her sister. I helped Hendra pack up and tidy up the tent again after we finished swimming.
All the rest of the food ingredients are cooked in a curry sauce that is not spicy. We ate it all together with the rice on our plates. It tastes delicious. But we couldn't give the food to Ara, so she had to settle for a special meal for him.
The trip back to the villa felt different because we were singing together. Without feeling we have arrived. The children immediately ran into the house with Ara. I followed them. Hendra was only willing to receive help from the housekeeper to remove the goods from the trunk.
In the evening, we sat on the couch watching television. Finally, children can also sit quietly after being so active playing. Ara staggered to her cute bed preparing to sleep. Hendra gave me a very good Dira, then he took Hadi and we took them to their rooms.
Out of her room, I saw Hendra walking towards the kitchen counter. He offered me a warm drink that I did not refuse. I walked to the sofa and changed the television channels. Seeing something familiar, I returned to the channel I passed. It wasn't the video that was playing that caught my attention, but the photo of me and Vivaldo that was plastered side by side on the screen.
“The marriage life of Mahendra Mighty and his ex-wife is finally revealed. After officially divorcing two thousand eleven years ago, no one knew clearly the reason for their divorce. But a recent video reveals an affair between Zahara Aprilia and her ex-lover at a five-star hotel in Jakarta,”, the woman who carried the news said.
“No one wants to give a statement. Adhyana and Naava Perkasa as Mahendra's parents do not want to comment, as well as Zahara's parents. Mahendra and Zahara's residence did not show any activity from the couple. Security officers refused to answer reporters' questions about their whereabouts.”
“Based on the information we got directly from the hotel public relations section where Zahara was caught spending the night with Vivaldo Chandra, the CCTV footage was actually from their hotel. But they denied that they spread it. They are ready with complete proof if anyone demands at a later date.”
“Satya Perkasa Group will celebrate their fortieth corporate anniversary which reportedly will be celebrated in a big way in March. This family company has long been engaged in retail that has opened one hundred and fifty outlets spread across seventy cities in Indonesia. They have even penetrated the online market as the first retail company to inaugurate e-commerce in Indonesia.”
“From reliable sources, at the event will be appointed a new main director to replace Adhyana Perkasa. His son, Mahendra Perkasa, became a strong candidate, but a scandal in his household made shareholders question whether he should be the leader. Moreover, from reliable sources as well, Hadiyan Perkasa is said not to be the biological son of Mahendra.”
The television remote I was holding fell out of my hand. The floor I stepped on seemed to be swaying. I no longer listen to the news. Wh who? Who did he refer to as such a trustworthy source? Who would dare to say in front of everyone that Hadi was not Hendra's real son?
