Flashback: Story of Faiq & Karin (3)

Faiq resolutely refused when his father asked that he continue the warm conversation that had occurred between him and Karin. But his power to refuse to be silenced by the right circumstances requires him to start a conversation with Karin, whom he had intended to end.

“You started it all Faiq. I'm just giving you a look at what would happen if you refused. Dad himself was surprised when the people there again discussed the incident where you look so familiar with Karin”

“I was just pretending that time, I had no intention to continue any more conversation with Karin”

“You have started it, then finish it. When Dad was at the business partner's party, they discussed the interesting things they met at Karin's Dad's party, and the interesting thing is that you guys look very familiar. Dad himself did not know what to say, when Karin's father got carried away with the chat there and asked Dad to tell you this”

Faiq averted his eyes, it felt very tired if he had to discuss something so insignificant like this with his father.

“Yes it's up to you, Dad give it all back the same you” Cut his Dad. “You yourself know the consequences if you ignore this, Dad has conveyed what Dad should have said, then I leave it to you. You are quite familiar with this business world, so you know what consequences you will get. Manage your own problems.”

The old man with a handful of gray hairs in his hair, stepped out of his son's room. He was aware of his inability to manage his son again, only a futile thing he would do if he debated his son to do what he wanted. For him now, the move that Faiq took no longer needed his intervention.

Faiq turned his head to look at his father, even though his mind was in a mess at the moment. He did not expect, what he started that night to formulate to be as complicated as this. Faiq pondered for a moment, thinking about what his father had just said, as well as his father's advice which although he refused to continue his life with what his father said, but this time he could not deny, that his father's suggestion was the only action he could take now. Yeah, what he did a couple of days ago, like a gun that swallowed itself.

Faiq continues to condemn the old men his father met today, those who make their arguments as they please, discussing things that have nothing to do with their lives and easily making others take decisions that end up burdensome. “Why they are young once carried away the atmosphere and feeling” Kecam Faiq.

Faiq's frustration grew even more so when he realized that what happened today was the result of his own actions that did not think long before acting and making a decision. He deeply regretted his mindset that night, thinking only of the benefits he could take from Karin, so as not to think of things like this in the future.

Faiq grabs his phone, opens a message his father sent him to contact Karin. Faiq thought for a long time, until finally he decided to send a message to Karin.

Karin was still sitting in front of her dressing table, re-adorning her nude-colored lipstick on her lips to add to her confidence before heading out this afternoon.

“Ah, I can be late” said Karin after glancing at the clock on her phone which already showed the time at 11:50.

Karin rushes, grabs a small bag on her bed and runs out of her room into the trunk where her car is ready to go.

Last night, Karin got a message from a number she did not recognize, but after asking the sender of the message, she said, Karin finally learns that the sender of the message is a handsome man who previously had made her feel comfortable and dissolved in conversation together at his father's party some time ago.

Although feeling a little strange, Karin still responded to the message from Faiq and agreed to the lunch invitation that Faiq offered her this afternoon.

While waiting for Karin to arrive, Faiq who had already arrived at the restaurant they had agreed as the place to meet it, still composing the plot of what he was going to launch today to give a bad impression of himself in Karin's eyes today. Actually, there are so many bad stories that Faiq has if he really wants to make Karin look at him badly, but Faiq still sort out. The bad story about him was a disgrace, and it was already one's instinct to cover up his disgrace.

Faiq thought about how he could get an agreement with the largest company in the east, but again undo his intentions considering it was too bad and too dirty to discuss with a woman. Although Faiq knew, that one story alone could clearly make Karin stay away from him. And it will not be fatal to him that is considered bad by Karin, but can tarnish the name of his company as well as some bad things that will happen if later Karin discusses it with others.

“Hai.” Sapa Karin, disperse the arrangement of the plan that Faiq is preparing to go through today with Karin.

“Hai.” Sapa Faiq returned with a smile

“Sorry, I was late” Karin said and took a sitting position on an empty seat in front of Faiq.

“Just relax, I also have no job..” Karin smiled. “Have a meal message?”

Faiq. “I'm waiting for you.”

Karin looked at Faiq for a moment then smiled and refocused on the menu book she had been holding.

While waiting, Karin started a conversation.

“Why suddenly take lunch together?”

“Ah? Engg.. No" Faiq smiled "A-I didn't disturb your time right??”

“And I said no. I just felt surprised that suddenly your message came in and took a meal with”

“Oh that, I just suddenly thought..”

Karin starts a chat, while Faiq is still confused about what to make him look bad in Karin's eyes, so Karin will not intend to have more relationships.

Until they finished eating the food presented, Faiq still had not found a discussion that he could make a weapon to make Karin stay away from him. Some had been thought of by him, but he quickly paused when considering the impact he would get.

“Why you?” Asked Karin who saw a slightly strange move from Faiq.

Yes, Faiq was busy thinking about the things he had to do, so he was slightly unfocused on Karin who was in front of him. Faiq's confusion that he can not hide makes Karin managed to catch the oddities of his movements.

“Ah, it's okay” replied Faiq smiling and trying to normalize his expression.

“You haven't calmed down since?”

“Ah sorry-sorry if you become distracted with my attitude”

“Cockwise. Or do you have to work again? Then we go home”

“Bu-not so.”

Karin looked at Faiq in confusion.

“A-anu.. Tomorrow-tomorrow if you have time, we can meet again?”

Faiq undoes his intention to show his bad side today, he does not have proper preparation so he continues to feel confused about what he wants to say to Sasa.

Faiq took the initiative to start his plan at a later time, thus again proposing a meeting to Karin. Faiq thought to arrange his plan well ahead, and again met with Karin.

Invite the sudden Faiq to meet again, making Karin speechless. What Faiq had in mind was no longer in sync with what Karin was thinking right now. Karin had mistakenly assumed Faiq's next invitation.

“He was nervous because he wanted to take me out again?”

Yes, it's only natural that Karin misunderstood. How not, the attitude of Faiq who had earlier looked a little strange, plus he who again invited me to meet on another day, it does look like people who are interested in continuing relationships and getting to know each other.
