Dear, Soul!!

Dear, Soul!!
Faiq's Story: Flashback (4)

Faiq was still at home sitting at the bartender table accompanied by an old man who let him dissolve in his story. The old man whom he did not recognize, had accommodated all his stories, giving him a life overview of what he was doing now was also a very useful suggestion.

The man did not even leave his place and kept Faiq company telling stories even when there were other visitors at the bartender's table. He who seems to be right is not an employee there, will ask other workers to serve visitors who come to the bartender table is quite long.

Faiq was silent for a moment when his interlocutor gave him advice that he thought was very reasonable for him to do, although he was still a little hesitant to do that advice, he said, considering who has already fallen in pleasure-foya.

“Formerly thank you, for accompanying me to sit down to enjoy my wine. Also about your story that is full of lessons and willing to listen to my story. I'm also very grateful for the suggestions you gave”

“Don't hesitate like that, I just don't want anyone else to be like me. A person who ends up with regret just for believing too much in alcohol to be able to cope with bad feelings”

“You work here?” Faiq asked to see the man was old enough to be a worker at a bar.

“No. I'm the owner of this bar”

“Then what are you doing here?”

“Check the bar, also to meet people like you.”

“Wait wait.. You said you were the owner of this bar?”

“Iya, what's up?”

“Aren't you talking as if alcohol isn't a good thing?”

“I'm not saying that alcohol is a bad thing, I just don't justify if someone thinks that alcohol can calm a messed up mind"

“So how can you make sure that the person who comes to your bar is not to enjoy alcohol as an outlet of his bad feelings”

“Yes, I can't control all my visitors, and again I can't always be here for long. But at least I can find people like you and give him advice like what I did to you this time”

“How can you know, if people who come to enjoy alcohol well or to enjoy alcohol as an outlet”

“You saw that there?” Appoint the old man to the crowd of young people who are enjoying time together enjoying some drinks available at their table.

“Iya, what's with them?”

“Do you think they have a burden like you so they enjoy the drink as an outlet?”

Faiq observed several young people gathered not far from his place. Those who laughed at each other while enjoying the alcohol were another type of what he was gulping at this time. A wide variety of drinks are available at their desks.

“I don't think so, they look happy”

“Well, you who are not always here can judge that. Don't they look like they're celebrating something??”

Faiq fell silent, then nodded in agreement to the old man's words.

“And look at the man behind you it”

Faiq turned around, looking at the man who was no longer young but could not be said to be old, was busy staring at the screen of his phone with his fingers squeezing his own head.

“I think he also has a load like me.”

“You can really tell the difference. So don't ask, how can I tell them apart”

“If you know he has a mind load like me, then why don't you go up to him and give him a banter like me too?”

“Didn't you see the motion. He squeezed out his hair occasionally, and put down the glass slightly roughly after gulping down his drink. She's upset right now, if I come and give her a message, do you think she can listen to me??”

“Which, like him, will not drink too much alcohol and let himself get drunk, because the one who is mastering it at this time is not a feeling of pain, despair or loss of spirit like you. He came just to take a sip and will pass after”

“You seem to be very good at reading the minds of others who enter into your bars”

“Not really. Not everyone can be read by his gestures, nor are all my guesses or forecasts on those people correct. I just did what I could, and hoped that there would be no more unlucky people like me just for believing too much that alcohol could soothe me”

Faiq chuckled. “You're a good person.”

“What is a compliment?”

“Yes, I guess like that” replied Faiq smiling. “If I were in Indonesia, I wouldn't be able to talk to you like this”

“Why?”

“There we value older people, and treat them with courtesy, very unethical if I talk casually like this towards you who are much older than me”

“I think there, children's characters are well built from childhood, so they can respect the older ones.”

“Not really. Most of them are like that, some also consider such things as something that is not important. There we are diverse though still one as Indonesia. If you have time, play around there occasionally. My indonesia is beautiful enough for you to enjoy”

“Sure.”

Faiq shifted the screen of his phone, he was already two hours in that bar.

“Ah, I've been here too long. I have to go back”

“Good. Come back sometime if you need a storymate, I am not always here but I am here” often

“Sure.” Faiq smiled and moved out of his chair. “Ah, we have been telling each other, but we don't know each other. I faiq” faiq extended his hand.

“We are too late in the chat, so forget the first thing we should do when we meet. I'm Axiel” he replied as he greeted Faiq's hand with a smile.

“Really, thank you for everything tonight.”

The old man simply nodded, and accompanied Faiq's footsteps with his gaze.

Along the way, Faiq kept thinking about what Axiel had told him. He still had the hesitation to determine what kind of path he should take in the future. Confused to continue what became his talents and favorites and enjoy the education that has been provided by his father now, or pursue what his father has prepared for him by struggling to start everything from scratch.

There will be some risk of difficulties that he will take if he does not think about the road like this carefully before starting, which will make it possible to go down in the middle of the road.

Only one thing is certain, what he has decided to do now, is to be successful and go beyond his father so that he can do whatever he wants. He wanted to be better than his father so that there was no way for the now ugly man in his eyes to be able to interfere in his life
