Dear, Soul!!

Dear, Soul!!
3 am

Fauzi's days grew darker after the results of the Salwa MRI test came out and a plaque of protein was found that had disrupted cells in the brain Salwa. Fauzi's efforts rejected reality, but there was nothing he could do but to wake himself up, that this was what was happening right now.

The more days, the situation of Salwa is further from the word good. Things that were originally just something that he had forgotten, now fomulated more and more into being. Delusions that occur more often than before, memory ability decreases and verbal ability that slowly begins to be disrupted.

It did not diminish Fauzi's love for his wife. Fauzi remained patiently directing his wife to do daily activities as usual. However, he could not fully control his wife for the full 24 hours, given that he still had responsibilities at his job.

Mikayla so more often Fauzi entrusted to Afifah, on the grounds that Mikayla who is often lonely living at home alone. The classic reason Fauzi is quite reasonable for Afifah, after all his father and mother are also very happy if Mikayla visits his home. Salwa slowly begins to forget herself as a mother. Even if his memory was touched by his status as a parent, it would not last long and just pass by.

But even so, Salwa still loved Mikayla very much. If Mikayla is affordable in her view, she will still take care of Mikayla as usual.

Almost every night, Fauzi accompanied his tears before falling asleep. Looking at his wife who slept quietly, but kept the ambiguity in her head. There was nothing Fauzi could do, repeatedly he asked the doctor to find a way to cure Salwa, but the same result he always got, he said, a result that states that there is really no way for Salwa to be cured.

Only drugs, which are not to cure, but only slow the progression of Alzheimer's and help him to remain active in carrying out daily activities.

Fauzi woke up after being a little surprised at the dream he had forgotten when he woke up. But not only had Fauzi gathered his consciousness, he was again made surprised by Salwa's absence beside him.

Fauzi quickly moved out of his bed.

“Salwa..” call him.

Silence, no answer from Fauzi's call.

Fauzi stepped in to check the bathroom, most likely the whereabouts of his wife is in the bathroom, considering the time still shows at 3 am. There should be nothing Salwa can do at this early time, so the biggest possibility of its existence is in the bathroom.

But the possibility that Fauzi was thinking about was disputed after he did not find Salwa there. Fauzi turned the bow, exited the room and headed for the kitchen. It is possible that Salwa is thirsty so she must relieve her throat with a glass of water.

Fauzi quickened his pace, impatiently he immediately wanted to reach Salwa in his view. However, Fauzi did not find Salwa there. Concerns began to pervade him, his consciousness gathered full of restlessness approaching him.

Fauzi made a small run to Mikayla's room, perhaps her only daughter was fussy so Salwa had to move from her room to their daughter's room to calm her down.

Fauzi grew worried, growing more agitated when he did not find Salwa in Mikayla's room. At three o'clock in the morning, Fauzi surrounded his house to look for his wife, so he searched all corners of his house, but still he did not find Salwa.

Fauzi stepped back into his room, if Salwa had been there, although it was a very difficult possibility to be accepted by reason, but he hoped more like that. But not until his footsteps, he found something that increasingly makes him anxious worry erratically.

The door of their house was not closed tightly, Fauzi recalled that he closed all the doors and windows before going to bed last night. The key, which is still perched, has been turned around.

Fauzi still didn't want to think a no-no, but he didn't meet his wife's whereabouts even after he had surrounded his house, it further reinforces the possibility that his wife is not in the house and is out at this time, somewhere and what she is doing outside in this blind morning.

Fauzi ran out, sweeping the surroundings with his gaze, in case he could soon find his wife. He repeated the call, but got no answer at all.

In the dim light of the shining street lamp, Fauzi tried to find Salwa. Running aimlessly, looking to the right and to the left, he still found no whereabouts of Salwa. The sweat spots that came out either the result of tired running or restlessness, started to appear on Fauzi's smooth forehead and started to wet the hair around him. If only someone had seen, maybe that person would have thought that Fauzi was out of his mind at the moment.

Anxiety mixed with fear, making Fauzi's steps faster. There was no fatigue approaching him, only worry that continued to reign in his feelings. It had been about 15 minutes he ran around looking for Salwa, but he had not found it yet.

Fauzi stopped just below the dimly lit lamp. His tears trickled, his desperation almost made him want to give up, but his love for Salwa would not be able to make that sense of hopelessness develop more than what he felt right now.

“Fauzi.”

A vague but well-captured call by Fauzi's sense of hearing, reflexes made him turn around.

Not far from where he stood, he saw Salwa in barefoot pajamas with a wallet in her hand. Without warning, Fauzi ran to his wife, hugging Salwa to release all his anxiety.

“Where are you from, baby?? Why are you out at dawn like this??”

Fauzi's tears are growing. He held his wife firmly.

“A-me. I-I want to buy milak”

Fauzi wiped his tears before he took off his embrace. His grip slightly firmly pressed down on Salwa's shoulder.

“Susu what? Why is dawn like this??”

“Susu for Mikayla, later tonight she can be fussy if not drink milk before bed”

Fauzi looked at his wife. Especially the one his wife is talking about right now.

“elast if you have to wait for the morning. Tonight Mikayla has to sleep”

Not once did Fauzi make it clear that their daughter was asleep, but Salwa still thought of putting her daughter to sleep as if Mikayla was still awake now.

“Ya ta-but why now? Why is dawn like this??”

“Body??” Ask Salwa to clarify.

Fauzi was silent for a moment, was his wife unable to recognize the time now?

“I can't get her milk” She said with a slight frown.

Salwa diverted the previous conversation.

“Why is the store closing fast now?” his weakness.

“Quick??”

“Yes, it's eight o'clock, all stores are closed. And again, why aren't there people? This is not yet late”

Deggs....

What other fact is this?? What else is on his wife's mind now.

“Honey, it's not eightpm” said Fauzi straightening. His tears were already dripping, he could no longer hold it. “Now three o'clock dawn baby, not malam”

Salwa was silent, lowered her head for a moment then slowly raised her head to look at Fauzi with tears that began to wet her cheeks.

“This is dawn?” ask Salwa to clarify.

Fauzi just nodded confirming his wife's question.

“Not 8pm?”

Fauzi hugged his wife. “Not baby, it's dawn. And no store is open at this time”

“Ta-but.”

“Let's go home.”

“Su-milk Mikayla how??”

“I buy, I buy later. Now let's go home.”

Salwa complied as Fauzi directed her to walk back.

There was no sound at night that morning. Only two people with different feelings walked back to their homes. People who are confused with time and other people who are in the roar of feelings of sadness, will the circumstances that have just been presented to him.

Stop joking at me. Are you happy to tear my heart apart through the eraser you put on my wife's head? Really, I hate the world that gave me this
