Chapter 259 - The Beginning of the Great War On Earth (4)

"Gi-na.. t-please...!" exclaimed Gus who could not defend himself to stay afloat. His stocky body and heavy type of magic energy made it very difficult to survive in the midst of that flood.

Hearing Gus's cry for help, without thinking about the people he seemed to know including his father and Steven, Gina began to attack them. He leapt upon the bodies of the men and made them a foothold to go near Gus Stevin.

"Hold on!" exclaiming Gina while giving healing magic as well as a defense buff on Gus.

But, even though they were S-ranked Hunters and SSSs, being in that crowd of Hunter-hunters that numbered in the thousands, especially when they were between the water, Gus and Gina ended up being troubled as well.

The tube-men begin to pull Gina back until Gina finally falls back, into the water. Same with Gus. They continued to attempt to drown Gina and Gus to suffocate the two Hunters to exhaust the air in their lungs.

What made Gina and Gus miserable as well, they continued to pull and hug their bodies together with each other.

This was the loss of a Healer-type Hunter and a Tank that lacked the skill to blow up opponents.

Gus actually had the ultimate skill that could thicken everyone. But he would instantly run out of Mana energy after. So, Gus was a little hesitant to use that power if Gina was not nearby.

Gus had also tried to make a defensive fortress, but thousands of tube humans who were once also Hunters were finally able to penetrate his defense.

"Crack.., I have to make a gap," thought Gina who was now in the arms of dozens of people who were trying to drown her.

There is one thing that Gina now knows about her bullies. Those tube humans could even breathe in the water. That's why they can drag themselves and Gus into the water without thinking about the difficulty of breathing.

The blow was incredibly big. With the buff that Gina gave, the explosion even managed to get rid of the flood where the two Hunters were for a few seconds as all the water and the human body of the tube bounced and scattered in all directions.

Gina and Gus land on the floor when the water around them disappears. Gina used the opportunity of a few seconds to run in a direction she had seen since she had gone to Gus.

"Follow me!" exclaimed Gina, pulling Gus' hand and running towards a door at the end of the wide hallway.

"Guses. There might be a way out there. Kick that door with all your might!" exclaiming Gina again while throwing Gus towards the door.

Gus managed to smash the door with a single hard kick, using all of his remaining Mana energy.

As the water had reassembled into one, Gina who was still some distance away from the door finally sank again.

But, as the water is now divided into other rooms, Gina does not need much effort to get to the surface and she can swim quickly to the room where Gus is now.

"There is no other door in this room. The room is also not too big" said Gus when Gina had joined him.

Gus was a bit confused as he saw Gina not responding to what she said and instead fell silent staring at something behind her.

Gus finally turned his head back, staring at the 3 tubes containing moss-green liquid with 3 human tubes whose faces were not so clear. He had seen the tube but ignored it.

"What's wrong?" ask Gus.

As she could see the creature's face in the tube, Gina's eyes widened.

"Gina, they're coming!" exclaimed Gus while staring in horror at the tube humans who began to rush into the room.

Hearing that, Gina immediately turned around and pulled Gus again to immediately swim away from the place.

The only way out they had was their arrival door.

Gina uses all her Mana energy to pedal and escape the encirclement of the Hunters who have now started to chase and try to catch them.

With her magic power, Gina threw Gus again so that the stocky man could arrive faster at the door where they had entered earlier. While he himself finally came out of the water and used the human body tubes as his footing then ran towards the door.

Gus who had arrived at the door first finally smashed the door and only ran out when Gina had already reached nearby.

"Run!" gina exclaimed after she grabbed Gus' wrist and pulled him by force.

The two continued to run through the water which was now only knee-deep after it split into many spaces.

Gina continued to pull Gus until they finally managed to get out of the gate which was only as big as a door of the house.

Gina did not stop. He continued to pull Gus' hand to run to their boat, start the engine, and then leave the small island.

"W-What's Gina? Why do you look so scared?"

"That's... One of the bodies in the room... He was very similar to the original owner of Anna's body."

"W-what? Whatchu mean?"

"I'll tell you later. Let's hope we can get back to port safely. If he comes after us, we're dead."

Gus shuddered at hearing it.

"You call Kevin, ask him to return to port immediately. I'll call Miss Tanaka."

"We're lucky because they're not chasing." Said Gina who then sighed in relief after they finally arrived at the port.

"What's really going on?" asked Kevin, who had just arrived at the port.

"We found a lab there." Gus Sahut.

"Then?"

"In that lab were thousands of Hunters who should have died." Gina Sahut.

"What?! I mean, how do the dead come back to life?"

"We don't know. I even saw a figure that resembled Anna's real body being there" said Gina again.

Hearing that, Kevin, Bimo and Davina were of course very surprised.

Kevin wants to ask again, but Gina immediately stops him when she sees Keisuke and Eiko finally arrive at the port.

"Later. We found a lot of records there. Miyuki will probably find out what they are after checking the records." Gina said slowly.
