The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 226 - Forests In The Western Regions

The fist that Anna had laid onto the pale-faced man's body was really so hard that he bounced around to smash two layers of sturdy walls with his back.

Seeing the much stronger prison heads compared to them bouncing with just 1 punch, the 4 other haughty-looking men who had previously also joined ganged up on Anna were stunned.

They became worried about whether to continue the gouging or escape. Therefore they caught their guard and Anna used the opportunity to directly attack the four.

“Haaattttt..!”

Bakkkk... Bukkkkp... Bakkk... Bukkk...!!!

With a single swirling leap, Anna managed to kick down four haughty-looking men at once, by already reducing a lot of her strength in order for the four men to not suffer the same fate as the prison chief.

The four of them bounced and only fell after waiting for the wall without destroying it. Nevertheless, the four haughty-looking men were already unable to stand back because they had lost their self-awareness.

Anna stared at the broken wall by the pale-faced man. He did not expect that the creature's defense magic was not as strong as he thought.

"And I don't want this commotion to sound out" said Anna softly, regretting her actions.

However, Anna's regret was in vain because shortly afterwards she heard the sound of a commotion happening at the door.

A few seconds later, almost simultaneously with the destruction of the door of the jailer's room, two animals that had previously been in the cage, went inside followed by dozens of soldiers armed with spears and swords.

One of the animals immediately jumped onto Anna's shoulder as they had already arrived there.

"What's going on?" anna asked confusedly.

"They wanted to kill us, so we ran." said the god Ogun, who had jumped on Anna's shoulder with his red panda body.

"What?! Why would they kill animals?"

"They're vile. They wanted to boil us. Get rid of them all!" as the god Ogun pointed towards dozens of soldiers who were troubled by the deadly attacks of the goddess Ezili in the form of otter.

The last words the god Ogun spoke left Anna a little confused.

"Why don't you do it yourself?"

"The body of this type of animal is too lazy to move.” God Ogun said annoyed.

Unlike the red panda, the goddess Ezili who was in the form of otter jumped to and fro. He sat on the necks of the soldiers, biting them and then plucking their flesh out. He was very agile and sadistic.

Seeing how great the goddess Ezili fought in her otter form, Anna glanced at the Ogun god and insinuated it. “You are useless.” Said Anna, who then counterattacked the soldier who had just slashed the magic-powered sword at her.

Arakkkk!!!

"Hey, if I'm in the form of an eagle..."

"Be quiet. Rather than protest why don't you just turn into an eagle?"

"..." the god Ogun fell silent. He was willing to change his form, but he had to activate the Mana energy first.

"Ciiittt's... Ciettt's... Cittt..!"'s search...!" anna shouted at the goddess Ezili, who said 'we go!'.

Hearing what Anna said, with a single leap away, the goddess Ezili immediately jumped onto the girl's shoulder, before the three finally escaped through the large hole that had been left behind by the pale-faced man's body.

Although she had to carry the body of the pale-faced man who fainted with one hand, Anna could still run very quickly leaving dozens of soldiers chasing after them.

"Why don't you just leave him?" ask the Ogun god who is confused as to why Anna should bring the pale-faced man with them.

"He's our hostage" said Anna.

"Handera? They'll just keep coming after us because you brought them, '" protested the god Ogun.

"... I already took him."

Ogun God : "..."

“Do you have a destination?” goddess Ezili asked.

“... Not really.”

“Then, why have you been running in a straight line in one direction? You even jumped over a wide river that blocked our way even though we could actually turn up the hillside. They'll definitely lose track."

“Actually we are heading west,” Anna said.

"Western? You actually have a purpose, right? Have you been to this planet?"

Anna glanced at the fainted man inside the arms of the left side of her waist. “She will probably like it if know that we brought her to the western region.”

"What's? Did he ask you to take him there?"

“No. He wanted to kill me right away when I said he was from the forest region in the west.”

“Are you a vengeful?” ask the god Ogun who also listened to the conversation of the two women.

“I? Nnnnope. I just want him to feel what I felt when they came to visit me earlier.”

“Isn't it the same?”

“... Really?”

“…”

•••

After traveling for 1 hour, Anna and the group, who had managed to leave the soldiers far behind them, finally arrived at the edge of the wilderness.

The moment they arrived at the place, Anna could already immediately sense there was a faint Mana energy aura felt from the tall tree that was along the outer part of the forest.

He could guess, that they must be the guards assigned to monitor the state outside the border from the attack or enemy spies. From his experience so far, ancient civilizations have always acted like that.

'Sadly, even though by developing modern culture, they only need satellites to monitor this situation.'

°°°

Meanwhile, up in the tree, 8 the half-monkey, half-human creature watching Anna's arrival was shocked when Anna looked directly at them as if she knew they were hiding there to watch her.

“Down... Look, who I've brought for you.” Anna said with half a shout.

"Anna, I kind of disagree with this. Why do you want to hand him over to them?” ask the god Ogun.

“Because I have an idea.”

"The idea?"

"Yes. Let's make the tribes in this forest and the nations inside the wall fight. So, we'll be free to roam around looking for the goddess Lyn around their territory."

“Tsk..., are you sure your idea is harmless? I think it's the wrong choice."

“Optional? Do I have a choice? Look, I'm in the middle of nowhere because I have no choice.”

“…”

“I mean, we can leave it on the streets and we can go find the goddess Lyn without a fuss. If we make them fight, the guard in the two regions will be even tighter. That would make it difficult for us to enter or leave the territory of the two borders." Speak of the goddess Ezili, with the language of the Earth.

Anna was silent for a moment.

"I didn't think about it" said Anna, regretting her idea. "Are we running away?" anna asked, when she saw the dozens of Werewolves who had just come out of the forest when they got the mark of their border guards who were still on the tree, already in front of them.

"Oh, we're already here. It's okay, let's try to get into their territory first by handing this guy over as our ticket in. Let's try to find the goddess Lyn first in the Werewolf's territory." The god Ogun suggested.

•••

15 Minutes later…

Anna blinked her eyes while looking at the door that had just been closed with a dazed face.

He stared at the back of the Werewolf who had just left them all in confinement, in an underground cave, before turning his gaze to the god Ogun.

"Sorry," said the Ogun god as he licked his small palm.

"We had a chance to run. Look, this is the second time we've been caught because I followed your idea of getting into other creatures' territory by following them!" Bump Anna with an annoyed face.

"Hey, didn't you take us to this forest?" sahut god Ogun, did not accept Anna's accusation to him.

"I've already regretted it and want to run!"

Anna then walked up to the wooden door of their holding cell, then peered out the door.

The situation inside Goa is very dark. There was only 1 torch as illumination located on the wall of the cave, a little far from the front door of the holding cell.

Nevertheless, Anna could feel the Mana energy of the Warewolves had already gone away.

"You want to run away?" asked the goddess Ezili when she saw Anna was already tightly grasping the door padlock.

"Yes. Let's run while we're quiet. It'll be troublesome if they take us to the chieftain and convict me like before."

"It's best to wait here for another day or two" said a person from a rather deep section of the cell.

"Why wait." Anna, the goddess Ezili and the god Ogun gasped when she realized there was another creature in the dark cell.

The three stared towards the arrival of the voice with a vigilant attitude.

Although they could not detect the existence of the Mana energy well because they were locking in the Mana energy themselves, but the three of them should still be able to sense the Mana energy of other beings within at least a radius of 500 meters.

They realized, if there was a creature that could make them unaware of its existence, it meant that the creature was truly powerful and dangerous.
