The Goddess Of War
Chapter 136 - Dangers Around the Gate (2)

“Isn't that Gus?" Davina, who was running next to Gina, pointed to Gus Stevin in the distance and now seemed to be running towards them.

“Yes. I saw it too,” said Gina.

“Why is he coming from a direction away from the gate? Is Frank out?”

“I don't know. We just run first and ask when it is outside later.” Sahut Gina, who ran at the very back of the raid team, although in fact he could have left them and reached the gate in just seconds.

°°°

After they had defeated the three Raptors with great difficulty, two of the three Ty-Rexes that were on top of the cliff suddenly jumped into the river.

With a height higher than the depth of the river, Ty-Rex could easily walk out of the river and directly attack the raid team.

Knowing how dangerous it would be if they had to fight with the two beings who had Mana energy on par with those SS ranked Hunters, Gina ordered all the team members to run as fast as possible without having to save the Mana energy they still had.

"Run fast! Use all the energy you have. We only need to use it to reach the gate immediately without having to fight. Avoid all monsters if we meet them on the way." Gina said at the time.

°°°

Still having half the Mana energy left, the few Mage-type Hunters decided to use it and give their long-range attacks to the two Ty-Rexes who were chasing them while continuing to run, when they saw the gate in the distance.

"Well we'll be out soon too. Let's attack them to keep our distance." said one Mage to another Mage colleague.

They intended to keep Ty-Rex at a distance even further away from the team, so that everyone would have enough time to get out of the Dungeon safely.

But suddenly something strange happened. The two Ty-Rexes chasing them suddenly stopped their pursuit. Never before had there been a monster that felt superior strength suddenly stopped chasing prey.

In fact, the two ancient creatures suddenly turned around and went away.

Almost to coincide with that, Gus Stevin finally rejoined the team and they eventually quit as well when Gus Stevin asked them all to stop. In fact, the distance of the gate is already not far from those who are approximately only 200 meters away.

“Why did you tell us to stop?” philip Cardis asked Gus, staring at the two Ty-Rex who, oddly enough, stopped the chase and went away.

Gina also became confused by the oddity.

“Close first. Getdown. Let's get down first.” Pinta Gus Stevin in between his gasping breath and a panicked-sounding manner of speech.

"The gate is already ahead of there." Philip protested Gus' request while pointing towards the gate.

"Follow it! You'll thank me later." Sahut Gus slightly raised his voice.

Seeing that no one was following his orders, Gus finally decided to get down first.

Gus Stevin wanted to take his colleagues straight to a small hill he saw good enough to hide from the Raptors and Pterodactyls. However, when he saw Ty-Rex suddenly turning around, he immediately thought it was better for them to hide among the small rocks in this place by laying low.

In addition to the Raptors and Pterodactyls who could come at any time, Gus Stevin was also worried about the Dark Elf-like creature behind the hill.

°°°

Gina hesitates a bit, but she ends up following that order when she sees Ty-Rex seeming to actually stop the chase and walk away.

“Why did you tell us to stop, Gus?” ask Davina to Gus Stevin.

“Wait until the monsters come and go, then we run out.” Gus Stevin said, still breathing hard. His stocky body makes him tired when he has to run as fast as before, although in fact he has often trained his physique to run.

Although Davina still did not understand what was the meaning behind Gus' words, she finally understood when she saw dozens of Raptors and Pterodactyls coming from different directions and then out through the gate to the human world.

“Huh? What magic barrier gate open? Why did they get out?” ask a few people at the same time.

“We'll discuss later. The monster is not just that. There is still more behind the hill," said Gus who then rose to his feet, "Now, quickly we run to the gate before the group of creatures come again.” Take Gus then.

Seeing his comrades slow to respond to his call and standing up very slowly, Gus spoke again half-shouting, "There are monsters more dangerous than Dinosaurs. Quickly run to the gate now!”

However, Gus' steps came to a halt as Gina pulled her arm.

“Wait, don't move first.” Gina Pinta.

“What's up?”

“It's too late. Tyranosaurus is gone. Apparently there were monsters that were much stronger than them. Look up at the hill,” said Gina, while looking at a hill that is none other than the hill where Gus was, without daring to point there with his hands.

As they looked in the direction Gina pointed at, all of the Hunters suddenly felt limp in both of their knees.

Only Gus would not turn his head because he already knew and felt a little frustrated when he had to see the creature again.

On top of the hill, there were three monsters with the appearance of Dark Elves but had deep red skin that seemed to be riding Ty-Rex on the top of the ancient creature's head.

In the surroundings, similar monsters on foot appeared to be aiming their bows towards the raid team with arrows ready to be thrown.

The monsters stood parallel, extending across the entire hill. That look makes anyone who sees it will definitely get the pressure of fear.

“They will probably shoot us right away as we run towards the gate" Gina said.

Hunter-hunters could only gulp their saliva when they felt that what their chairman was saying was reasonable.

They knew, those monsters would have been shooting at them since then if they wanted to.

“Why don't we run away by splitting up? They will definitely be confused to aim,” said someone giving an idea.

"Can't," said Gina quickly. Gina took a slow breath so as not to reveal her anxiety, "Right now, they are monitoring our movements. They'll instantly release the arrows once they see us running. The high ranked monsters were slightly different from the monsters from a B rank Dungeon down." Gina explained.

Gina had already gained experience from following the illegal raid with Anna in many A-ranked Dungeons during the past month.

Monsters from A-ranked Dungeons like Elves and Dark Elves liked to monitor their opponents first, before eventually attacking if the opponent was about to escape or looked like they would threaten their position.

Worse, high-ranking monsters like to play with weak-looking opponents. They will play with the opponent and kill slowly until they are content to play around.

Gina guessed, the monsters on the hill there would also probably do that.
