The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 188 - War Zone (2)

In a small country, on the African continent, the Hunter-hunters of the Nine Bears guild who had only two hours ago completed their raid, were, it is now resting on the ruins of an old building near the former Dungeon gate area they just conquered.

The small raid team consisting of Gina, Kevin, Bimo, Gus, Yola, Lucy, Davina and the two hunter avatars, is, he was sitting on the rubble of a building watching a raid broadcast live by the City C Hunter Association.

Although they now live by moving from one country to another, they are still always following the development of Hunter in City C through news broadcasts that the City C Association does.

The Nine Bears did just that to see if the City C raid team was successful or not in handling a Dungeon.

They will be happy if Hunter-hunter City C can close the gate in their home city and will be prepared to help if not.

They just wanted City C, where their families were all located, not to be in any danger.

Although City C had forgotten the struggle of those who had closed hundreds of Dungeon gates there, but their love for City C never subsided. They will definitely return to City C soon when the city is under threat of a dungeon break.

"See this guy's face. How could he have such a haughty face even though he was still SS-ranked? Does he not know how strong an A rank Dungeon boss is?" sneer Kevin Jung, as Wang Chu Gong's face is zoomed in by the Hunter camera carrier.

《"Are you not aware that your face is always that haughty?"》miyuki Sahut, who can be heard by all Hunters from their earphones.

Kevin immediately pulled the earphone from his ear and put it in his pants pocket.

"Why is he always looking for trouble with me?" Muttered Kevin who then snorted annoyed while staring at fellow Hunters around him.

However, Kevin immediately gazed back at his smartphone, upon seeing the strange gazes of his colleagues as if they agreed on Miyuki's assessment.

'Does my face really look as haughty as this guy?'

"Why did they split the team in two?" yola asked, upon seeing Chu Gong split the raid team into two groups.

"Attacking from two different locations, perhaps?" suhut Lucy, just guessing the mind of the raid team captain.

About 30 minutes later, Yola's questions were finally answered when they saw one of the teams on the left-hand screen, it had now managed to enter the desolate camp and attack the Elves who seemed to have fighting abilities and weak Mana energy.

Meanwhile, the other team led by the A-ranked Hunter, which was displayed on the right-hand screen, was now facing off against hundreds of Elf troops who had only carried out long-range attacks.

The team is indeed doing an attack strategy by dividing the team into two groups.

"A very risky strategy" commented Bimo, when he realized that the team on the screen to the right of almost all of his Hunters had Tank type.

"A pretty good strategy, but very sloppy. What if the entire team members ran out of Mana energy to survive the opponent's long-range strike?" Davina commented.

Justjust right. In just another 20 minutes, the team that had relied solely on protective magic without attempting to counterattack it, began to lacerate as the Elf warlord began to order his close-ranged fighting force to charge forward.

The raid team finally began to run backwards, leaving behind a melee fighter Elf who had already started advancing on the attack.

"They're airing sloppy strategies like this firsthand?" Kevin clicked his tongue, looking at the recklessness of the team who seemed to be enjoying their popularity greatly compared to the earnest intention of eliminating all Dungeons.

Gina also looked at the situation in those two different locations with as much regret as Kevin. He knew the strategy Chu Gong used was good and would save time, if done to a Dungeon that was ranked 2 times lower than the strength of a raid team.

"It shouldn't be that they split teams like this in an A-ranked Dungeon." Gina said, without taking her eyes off the smartphone screen, "Very sloppy."

"They've never done a raid in an A-rank Dungeon, have they?" ask Kevin about Gina.

Kevin recalled, the Nine Bears guild always took an A rank Dungeon which in the 4 months in the early days of the guild stood, many popping up in City C.

Gina nodded.

Without turning to Kevin and staying focused on his smartphone screen, Gina then replied, "They have never fought in an A-rank Dungeon."

As soon as Gina finished her sentence, she turned to Kevin when she realized that Chu Gong was not only careless, but really stupid.

"It seems, they don't know if an A-ranked Dungeon has an SSS-ranked boss, right?" gina asked, asking for Kevin's opinion.

It was Kevin's turn who nodded.

"That knowledge seems a little forgotten because A-ranked Dungeons appear very rarely" Kevin said. "They don't seem to remember that."

The concerns of the two Hunters were immediately answered when they saw the team led directly by Chu Gong, finally the arrival of Elves who had higher bodies than other Elves.

However, when Chu Gong had just fought against that Dungeon boss, the screen on the left, where the impressions of the team that Chu Gong was leading was located, suddenly darkened.

Everyone who watched the live broadcast, gasped. Not only those who were there, but also everyone who was watching the show throughout Southeast Asia.

Everyone knows, if it happens, it must be because the camera has been destroyed or maybe even the camera holder has been killed.

Gina suddenly stood up.

He then spoke to all the members of the Nine Bears guild.

"Let's get ready, let's go back to City C. Looks like there'll be a dungeon break soon."

In the Dungeon...

The team that charged into the campground looked extremely superior in that extremely unbalanced battle.

The elves there were seen to be below the abilities of the raid team, which could easily kill as well as burn down the Elves' headquarters.

"Burn all of it!" Chu Gong shouted his orders to all Mage-type Hunters who possessed fire magic.

The raid team that could see an easy victory before those eyes, grew even more excited about destroying the Elves' abode as the team captain commanded them.

Hundreds of Elves running down the ridge.

Some died at the hands of Mage-type Hunters who possessed ice magic tasked with overcoming Elves who wanted to escape.

The raid team continued to move forward, until finally the figure of an Elf who had a slender body with a tall stature, came out from a tent that was large compared to other tents.

"He's the Dungeon's boss?"

Hunter-hunter looked at the Elf with a horrified look.

Especially when they realized that the magic aura emanating from him, felt even greater than the captain of their own team

"D-he's rated SSS." Said one of the Hunters with a trembling voice.

"Don't worry. I will duel against him," Chu Gong said, calming his team that was beginning to look terrified.

Meanwhile, in an area some distance away from where Chu Gong was, Reinhard Bern led his 2 companions to chase after the 3 Elves who were fleeing towards the river.

Reinhard was actually a little interested in the female Elf who was running while carrying another Elf on his shoulders.

When the chase Reinhard did finally reached the riverbank, the three Elves stopped and turned to Reinhard and his two companions.

The elf who was carrying the body of another Elf finally lowered the comrade off his shoulders and placed his body on the ground.

The female elf then crouched down near the body of the Elf she had just laid down, then pulled out the dagger she had grazed on her waist.

He then pointed a dagger at the neck of the lying Elf.

Looking at the strange thing, Reinhard finally looked at the lying Elf and was shocked as he recognized the face of the woman who turned out to be not the Elf he thought she was.

It was the figure of a human, who happened to be also known to him.

"Anna?!"

As Reinhard shouted the name, it was not just Reinhard and his two companions who were shocked as they stared at the girl. Sylph and the two Elves escorting her were also shocked.

However, they were both shocked and delighted, when they realized it seemed like the creature before them recognized the captives in their hands.

Knowing that, Sylph grinned and pointed her dagger closer to Anna's neck, who was still asleep near her feet.
