The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 181 - The Feeling of Loss

The most shocked when Anna suddenly appeared in that place was of course Albert Brosman.

As a demon who had known the power of Ann Arnix, he certainly knew how dangerous it was to face a human who inherited the power of Ann Arnix.

For this reason, Albert Brosman immediately destroyed the wall behind where he stood, then immediately fled to leave the place that has now become very dangerous for him.

Seeing their master run away just like that, Fred and Jordan immediately went to follow him. Although they did not know how strong the teenage girl who had just appeared before them was, but when they saw the deathly pale face of her master earlier, they could guess that the girl was certainly very dangerous.

Anna was about to go after the three Hunters. But he paused it, because it was not his goal to come back to the Fiji Islands.

After the three Hunters left the room, Anna turned to Rodman.

"Mr Kilirayna, where's Ren?"

Hearing the question, of course, made Rodman gasp and regained his senses after being surprised to see Anna's sudden arrival.

Rodman was silent for a moment, as if the question Anna had just asked was really like a very difficult question to answer.

He knew Ren was dead. He also knew that the main cause of the young Hunter's death was because of him, not because of Fred and Jordan.

Had he not been frightened under the threat of the American Association, had he been able to contact Ren so that the man would not have come to see him this morning, had he not told Ren's whereabouts, if only he had enough power to help Ren deal with the two secret agents.

If only he had the courage.

With guilt on his face, Rodman kept thinking about how cowardly he was.

"Mr Kilirayna!" Anna called out Rodman's name in a louder voice as she watched the middle-aged man tremble with his eyes seemingly unfocused while looking at him.

Being called out in such a loud voice, it made Rodman regain his senses and he was finally able to focus on looking into Anna's eyes. "Mister Ren..."

"Where is he? Has he returned to Southeast Asia? I can't feel it being in this country."

Anna thinks Rodman is about to get into the hypnotic influence that the devil is doing. He thought it would happen when Rodman looked at him, but his mind seemed to be focused elsewhere.

In fact, Rodman was remembering how cowardly he was and regretted his actions.

"M-they.killed him." said Rodman in a soft, stammering voice.

"W-what?"

Rodman lowered his head.

He then cleared his throat once, to get rid of something in his throat, which he felt prevented his voice from coming out normally.

"Master Ren is dead" Rodman repeated, in a soft voice.

Anna was silent for a moment.

His gaze was still fixed on Rodman, who gradually shrank and fell down.

For the first time in her life, Anna felt a tightness that was pressing heavily against her chest.

When she was a child, Anna felt the way she felt today, when she lost her grandparents and mother. He had a strange feeling like this as well.

However, the painful feeling he felt this time was very much different than before. The tightness he felt, even exceeded the previous three moments.

His whole body was trembling and limp. His breath up and down hunting each other quickly, making it difficult to control himself and feel short of breath. Anna even felt like crying, but she tried hard to hold him back.

"Damn it..," Anna murmured suddenly.

The girl finally stared at the hole in the wall, where two humans and one demon had escaped.

By trying hard to suppress her own feelings, Anna finally goes after the three Hunters whom she believes are the creatures responsible for Ren's death.

Anna ran as fast as she could out of the building.

Although she could no longer see them, Anna could sense the existence of their Mana energy as she focused her senses on Mana energy. He continued to run very fast towards the direction of the Mana energy.

Anna continued to run after the trail of Mana energy until she finally arrived in the forest near the beach.

Anna searched the three creatures around the forest, at the last location where she could feel the flow of her third Mana energy, until she finally saw a black gate that was in size was gradually shrinking, constrict.

Can guess that the creature he was chasing must have escaped into the gate, without thinking, Anna immediately jumped into it.

Anna arrives in a very dark and humid cave. Although there was no illumination of any kind in the place, Anna was not at all bothered by it.

He can see well in any dark state.

There, Anna saw there are 6 tunnels on the wall of the cave.

Unfortunately, Anna lost track of the Mana energy of the three Hunters who were in pursuit of her and she did not know which passageway they entered to escape from her.

With no other choice, Anna finally entered the six passageways one by one.

After 3 passageways in his entrance, he did not find the Hunter-hunters he was chasing there. The three aisles each had a dead end, until he finally turned back to where he was, before entering again into another tunnel to continue looking for where the three creatures went.

As Anna walked into the fourth passageway, the end of the passageway looked different from the previous one. The end of the hallway is not dead end.

The end of the hallway connects the cave with a wilderness location that has large and tall trees.

Anna finally decided to go back again, to check out the other 2 passageways.

After he made sure the two aisles were also dead like the other 5 aisles, then he returned to the fourth aisle earlier and went into the wilderness there.

•••

Anna remained silent for a long time inside the forest, trying to sense the enemy's Mana energy she was chasing. However, after he concentrated for tens of minutes, he still could not sense their existence.

Anna has lost track.

Feeling tired, Anna finally went to one of the trees that were there and leaned her back on the trunk is very wide.

In fact, Anna had only exerted about 10% of her Mana energy to use her detection magic to its fullest, so that she could reach out and sense the Mana energy throughout the planet.

However, strangely enough, Anna was now completely exhausted and demoralized to continue her search.

His slender body then slumped roughly, rubbing against the tree on which it rested.

Anna sits there long enough with no passion and no more passion to pursue the enemy that has killed, Ren.

Back then, for the first time, Anna had completely lost the spirit of her life. In fact, when his mother died first, the sadness he felt could not match the sadness he felt at this time.

Without realizing it, tears began to wet his cheeks and he began to cry as he pleased under the tree.

Previously, Anna actually just wanted to rest a while to calm her mind back so that she had her energy and spirit again. However, the longer she stayed there, the more Anna finally dissolved into grief.

The sound of his cries also grew louder, among the sounds of insects and forest beasts that were in the vicinity.

Anna could not even control her Mana energy anymore. Until it made the previously calm wilderness, it suddenly began to tremble.

The tremors that occurred due to the overflowing Mana energy from Anna's body, the longer it strengthened to make the forest shake even more violently.

The big trees in the forest slowly began to sway, the leaves that had previously adorned each branch and twig, began to fall.

The longer, the vibrations that occur there are getting stronger, until soon the trees begin to fall, when a large earthquake suddenly occurred and threw almost all the trees into the ground that collapsed and cracked throughout the forest area.

The earthquake was growing longer and longer.

The forest-dwelling creatures that could still survive the massive earthquake ran away in fear, trying to get away from the epicenter.

The terrible earthquake occurred for several days, until it finally flattened the entire forest with land.

The terrible earthquake accompanied by the sound of a woman's roar, making all living creatures inhabitants of the planet, will never forget the events that occurred in their place.
