The Goddess Of War
Chapter 135 - The Dangers Around the Gate

Actually, the distance of the gate from the bottom location of the ravine was not too far away.

However, because Hunters with D and B ratings such as Frank Arnold and Gus Stevin do not have a sense status as good as Gina, they walked very carefully while sheltering around the coral hills to avoid the monster ambush if they listened to any suspicious noises or sensed any magic energy passing around the street they're through.

After spending 3 hours traveling, finally Gus Stevin and Frank Arnold who were very lucky, because they did not experience any obstacles, finally arrived also near the Dungeon gate.

However, they immediately hid when they saw that there were dozens of Raptors and dozens of Pterodactyls coming from two different directions towards the Dungeon gate and then disappearing into it.

“They are out of the gate?!” To his surprise, Gus Stevin screeched at the sight of the strange phenomenon.

“A-is it time for the barrier magic to open?” asked Frank who was also confused to see the incident.

Normally, monsters would not be able to exit the Dungeon until a certain period of time, until the gate-locking magic that a Dungeon automatically possessed disappeared.

“No. There should be two more days in our world. That is, it is still twenty days in Dungeon time.”

“Is it because there are new monsters?”

Gus Stevin nodded slowly. “Ya, just maybe.”

Gus Stevin also recalled the time when he had felt some magic energy passing in the distance while they were still on their way, "Did the magic energy belong to those monsters as well? The magic energy is so great that it can be felt from a distance" Gus Stevin thought.

He then shuddered when he imagined if they were caught by the monsters.

'We will definitely die!'

The two eventually left again with enough rock to hide their bodies.

Although the Dungeon's large gate was already visible from where they were, the two of them did not dare to be rash to go running straight to the gate.

The second pillar of the Hunter to act carefully was indeed very appropriate, because a moment later, again dozens of Raptors and dozens of Pterodactyls came from their same direction as before, then out again into the world of man through the gate.

Afraid that their existence would be known to the monsters, Gus and Frank eventually decide to wait and hide behind a boulder while thinking of a way to get to the gate unnoticed, with a heart that is beating. Especially Frank. His face was even deathly pale and cold sweat seemed to pour out from behind his protective helmet.

°°°

Gus did not want Frank to suddenly meet them when he was near the gate and was killed.

However, after he observed, there was a pause of a few minutes before the monsters came and exited the Dungeon.

“Well, there seems to be a good chance of surviving them. There was always a pause of about five minutes before they came. Wait until they come in and get out once more, then you run and get out of here. Youunderstand?"

Frank Arnold nodded his head and they waited for the next monster cycle.

Gus Stevin immediately told Frank Arnold to immediately go out of the Dungeon after the next batch of monsters came. Frank complied and immediately ran towards the gate quickly, after which he thanked her repeatedly.

Seeing that Frank Arnold had safely exited the gate, Gus Stevin was finally relieved. One of his tasks was finally done.

However, there was still another task he had to do. Find a hiding place for other team members.

After the monster troupe came and went once more, Gus came out of his hiding place to check on the surroundings.

Knowing that someone came and went around the gate like that, the monsters could catch all members of his team later.

Gus finally took the initiative to find a hiding place near the gate that could accommodate the 19 Hunters still left inside the Dungeon, including himself, in order to be able to hide safely before leaving the Dungeon.

He looked at some rather tall hills not far from where he was standing. After deciding which hill he chose, Gus Stevin immediately ran to the rock, to check the situation there.

Upon arrival on the hill, Gus Stevin observed the surroundings of the hill to ascertain whether the place was truly safe. He looked at the whole place from the nearest to the farthest.

"Ah, that seems like a good place to hide. Not too far away from the gate and not in two monster trajectories." Thought Gus, when he saw a small hill some distance from where he was.

Just then, he sensed again the magic energy that suddenly appeared from his left and right direction. Gus went straight down right then and there, because he knew that magic energy must belong to the Raptor and Pterodactyl troupe that would pass.

"Crazy. This Dungeon is truly terrifying. I couldn't move as freely as I normally would!" Bump Gus with a stifled voice.

After the monsters came out of the Dungeon. Gus stood up to immediately come down from the hill where he was.

However, at that very instant, he happened to see his raid team was galloping very fast in the distance, heading towards the direction of the Dungeon gate.

“They've arrived too? Why so fast?”

Gus initially felt confused why the raid team could arrive quickly and only quarreled about 1 hour from him.

However, when he looked at the speed of each person, he finally thought that it was a very natural thing.

“Well, they could have arrived this fast if running fast, not sneaking like we were.”

Gus Stevin then decided to go down and meet his comrades, intending to ask them to hide first until the monster troupe arrived and came out first from the Dungeon, then they would come out after.

However, when Gus suddenly felt an extremely powerful magic energy that even made his entire body tremble, he stopped his footsteps to monitor the situation again.

Gus stared again at his team in the distance.

Shortly after, from behind the huge hill that protected his view, he finally saw the cause of why his team members ran so fast. There were two Ty-Rexes chasing them.

“Is that a Dinosaur that was on top of the cliff earlier?”

Gus finally decided to get down from the top of the hill because he felt a few minutes away the Raptor and Pterodactyl group would arrive and could have been caught by the creatures.

However, once again, when Gus just stepped a few steps to get down from the top of the hill, he only realized that something was wrong. The magic energy he felt, did not seem to come from the two Ty-Rex.

Gus also felt that the surrounding was darker than before, like a cloud overshadowing.

Gus looked up but there was no cloud he thought was above him.

‘Is it from my back?’

Gus Stevin finally looked behind him.

At that moment, he was shocked to the point that he made both his legs trip over each other and he fell rolling over from the top of the hill.

Gus Stevin tried to take control of his body. Then with a single jolt, he was finally able to hold his body back from being toppled again.

After standing up, he ran down from the hill.

“I-it... Are they Dark Elves? Why is their magic energy that strong?” Gus Stevin was recalling what he had just seen, as he continued to run down the rock without looking back.

He saw dozens of monsters coming out of the huge black hole, which he guessed was another gate connecting the place of these monsters and Dungeons.

Ignoring the trembling in his body, Gus Stevin continued to run towards his comrades at the best speed that even exceeded his running speed limit.
