SECOND LOVE

SECOND LOVE
CHAPTER 145

The ceiling of the room was painted white, being the first sight that Baskara saw, when his eyes first opened. He could only grimace, when he felt the pain that was crying greeting his entire body. His head feels heavy. There was pain around the knees and elbows, and in some other parts of his body. He also found it a little difficult to breathe, and felt a bandage stuck near his eyes.

Baskara did not dare to move any more of his other limbs, afraid of feeling even more intense pain. Although curiosity was so strong it gripped his heart.

The brown-skinned man could only close his eyes with a heavy sigh, when the glint of the terrible event he experienced again danced in the eye.

He drove his horse at high speed. The condition of his body, which was under the influence of alcohol at that time, could not control the rate of the motorbike he was riding hit a mahogany tree on the side of the road near the village border.

Not only the mahogany tree, the iron horse also mowed down the surrounding bushes before finally falling and shredding. While Baskara, the man had already been bounced to helpless on the side of the road.

Given all that, Baskara could only smile wryly. Can he not be grateful for the breath that God still contributes to him? It feels futile that he survives, if the only ideals he has are not able to reach and he is realized in life. What is it breathing for? No one expected his presence on this earth.

"Mas." There was a voice that he missed so much, greeting his eardrums. He did not dare to look. Afraid, if it's just a hallucination.

"The Bas is conscious? Let's open his eyes again!" The voice returned, this time with a slight shock to his right arm.

Baskara grimaced with the pain, but there was a sense of excitement as a hope slowly appeared in her mind. Can he hope? He opened his eyes and ventured into the direction of the source of the sound. Sure enough, the figure that had almost driven him crazy, was looking at him with swollen and watery eyes.

Baskara smiled and grimaced at the same time. He felt very happy, because Nilam was next to him now. And from his reaction, he can make sure that the little girl still loves him very much. But his body is still full of wounds, making Bas have to endure pain when Nilam's body hit and hugged him tightly.

"Why is this so, my friend? What is Mas Bas doing?" tanya Nilam was still crying.

"You know what, did you scare me half to death from yesterday? Don't do this, Mom! Don't worry me" Nilam said.

"Sorry." That's all that can come out of Baskara's mouth.

Nilam. Slowly remove the hug from the body still lying on the patient's bed.

"Law." Unknowingly Bas breathed a sigh of relief. It was as if he had managed to take off the heavy burden within him.

Nilam sat on the plastic chair that he had previously pushed slightly away. The gazes of the two clashed, emitting many flavors that could not be described through words. Slowly the hand of the bus stretched out. As if he understood, Nilam leaned towards Bas, so that the man could more easily reach his white cheeks.
