The Marriage Order

The Marriage Order
Next Meeting

I sat on a sofa in the office lobby room, where the atmosphere was already quiet. The employees have returned to their homes. A man came into the lobby looking at me smiling. He's Fandy.

"Sorry I'm old?" ask Fandy to come up to me.

"Lumayan the hell."

Fandy's eyes were fixed on the bouquet of roses in my hand. She stared at the puzzled why I was bringing a bouquet of flowers home from the office.

"Where are the roses from?"

"Well isn't this from you?"

"No. I didn't give you anything."

Then I showed her a greeting card that came from the flower. Fandy read it too.

"So who is this from? There's no name." Fandy's face turned sour.

"Where do I know. I thought you were the romantic one sending me flowers" I said.

"You're not cheating, are you?"

I patted my forehead. My head was spinning at Fandy's question. When he suspected me of cheating?

"Well, if we don't believe it, we better break up!" grunting.

"Don't dong. I'm just pissed off. Here's the flower, I'll throw it away!"

Fandy grabbed the beautiful flower and threw it in the trash. I could only look at him question markingly. Who sent me those things twice?

"Aren't you hungry?" ask Fandy when the new car is running.

"Little."

"We eat first yuk. I'm hungry too. What do you want to eat?"

"Anything," I answered briefly, looking out the way.

The rain began to rain down the road. Not long after the rain fell. Fandy parked his car at a roadside seafood restaurant.

"Sher, are you ashamed that I'm here to eat?"

"You seem to just know me. Don't remember when we went to college eating it also at a roadside stall? Haha." I laugh.

"Yes, but I didn't know you were a rich kid ...." Fandy did not continue his words.

"Stt .... Don't talk about the words "rich man". Ribet, a lot of strange rules," I said, cutting off Fandy's conversation.

"Yes, Sher."

We don't talk much either. Enjoy our ordered food. Until finally Reza called me.

"Where are you? We're all waiting for you here."

"Yes Brother, now I'm eating with Fandy. Take it easy, we'll be here soon."

"Yes already. Don't eat it for long" Reza hung up.

At seven o'clock in the night Fandy and I just arrived at the hospital. I was told by Brother Baruna that Om Anton was being treated on the sixth floor of the VVIP room. Fandy led me to the elevator.

"I'll wait here at the cafe. I'm not good to come with you. I don't know them." Fandy refused to come in.

"Yes already."

I got into the elevator. At first glance I caught the figure of Mr. Reynand who had just exited the elevator on the right. We almost passed each other but I doubt that person was him.

"Like Mr. Reynand," I murmured.

Ting!

Elevator opens on sixth floor. I walked into the treatment room looking for Om Anton's room.

"Good night, brothers. I'm sorry I just arrived" I said breaking the silence.

Baruna raised her head. Staring at me inside. His face looks very sad. Maybe he thought about his father. Reza looked at me. A small smile fell on his lips.

Not long after that Aunt Meri appeared carrying a bag full of food. He wears a dark green knee-length blouse with hair tied back. He looked at me with his distinctive smile.

"Aunty's son-in-law has arrived." Aunt Meri hugged me and kissed me on both cheeks.

Aunty Meri's welcome was so warm I felt. I returned his embrace. Aunt Meri then put her luggage on the nightstand.

"How are your relations? Is there progress?" Aunt Meri asked while sitting next to Kak Baruna.

"What the hell is Bun?! Why ask something like that? Dad is sick. This is not the time to ask that question." Brother Baruna protested.

"Evs .... Mommy has long not met the future daughter-in-law of the Mother. After all Sheryl also does not protest the same question Mother. Isn't that right, kid?" Aunt Meri blinked her eyes at me.

"Yes Aunt. It's okay anyway. Our relationship is good. No way, Auntie." I smiled.

"I don't mean Auntie, son. Is there love yet between you?"

"Already .... Don't ask Sheryl again with questions like that Bun, she'll be embarrassed. Let it be our secret. Mother just calm down," interrupted Kak Baruna.

"Yes, Mommy reminded me again that this event is the most important event this year. What do you think, Za? Do you agree with that match?" Aunt Meri turned towards Brother Reza.

"Yes aunty, of course," replied Kak Reza smiling.

"Later if Om is cured, Son Sheryl join aunt to aunty subscription boutique. We order and fittings clothes for your engagement event. You also have to come to the bar," explained Aunt Meri cheerfully.

I nodded forcedly. It seems like this is not the right time to refute all of Aunt Meri's words.

"Your clothes are wet, baby. Was it raining? Here wear auntie clothes. You'll catch a cold." Aunt Meri then took off her bag of clothes looking for clothes that were suitable for me to wear.

"It's just wear this one. Our body size is not much different, is it?"

"Mother don't bother. Just put on my jacket, "Baruna sister put her jacket on my body from behind.

"It's really sweet, Mother's Barunanya. Here to eat with Auntie, Sher. Have you eaten yet?"

"Aunty" I replied.

"We're down yuk, Sher. I want to talk, "Sister Baruna took me out of the treatment room.

I'm nodding. We went out of the room leaving Reza and Aunt Meri. Just this time I saw Kak Baruna's face that looked so tangled. The usually cheerful face-lout just disappeared.

We walked in tandem. Baruna's sister is still wearing her work shirt. The burden as an only child must have been very heavy. Even though there is still his grandfather who takes care of everything.

"I can't wait, Anton's gonna get well soon." Amused him.

"Yes, thank you very much for your attention. By the way are you sure you're receiving our engagement?" he asked when we arrived at a small restaurant near the hospital lobby. "When I know you are the hardest to resist" added Kak Baruna.

I shook my head, saying, "I'm back with my girlfriend, '" I said slowly.

Baruna looked at me in disbelief. Then he smiled grinning.

"I've guessed .... Your relationship that has been that long will be difficult to separate. So he's gonna propose to you?" Baruna's sister rubbed her face covering up the restlessness of her heart.

"The plan is brother. Hopefully."

Brother Baruna froze at my answer. Then he let out a long breath, trying to calm down.

Not long after, Fandy came to us.

Sher, I've been looking for you everywhere, but you're here. Your phone is dead?"

Me and Baruna looked at each other at the same time. We were both surprised to see Fandy. Fandy who saw Kak Baruna was no less surprised.

"Sir director," murmured Fandy. His eyes looked at Brother Baruna in disbelief.

"Yes, we are not officially acquainted. I'm Baruna Sheryl's future fiance." Baruna's sister extended her hand. His face was so confident facing Fandy.
