The Marriage Order

The Marriage Order
S3 Confusion

Reynand Pov's

The next day, just as I was about to sit at the dinner table for breakfast, Dad suddenly got up from his seat. "Rey, I want to talk to you."

"About?" I asked who immediately pushed back in the dining table chair in front of me.

"Let's go to Daddy's office!" he answered with a very serious face.

We walked into his study in this house. I'm not sure what he's talking about. But I'm sure it still has something to do with Felicia and Rafael. Last night, I just found out that they live in this house with a very surprising play. Baruna was really crazy to bring her home.

I sat in front of my father, waiting for him to speak. There was doubt on my face as if it was very heavy to say what was inside his head.

"What do you want to talk about?" I opened up a conversation between us.

Dad seemed to take a long breath. He looked at me seriously. "Rey, you should have told Dad first if you wanted to stay here."

"Why, Dad? Don't I have the right to be here?" I replied to my real father in a slightly irritated tone.

"Yes, indeed. But I don't think this is the right time. You know for yourself how your sister and his wife's current marriage is lost to memory."

"That's not the reason, is it, Dad?" my sahut grinned obliquely.

"Yes. If you're gonna say Felly and Rafa's names, it's like you won't agree with me." My father replied coldly.

"It turns out you're so familiar as if they're not anyone else in this house anymore." I snorted a little laugh.

"Don't provoke a fuss, Rey."

"I'm not fishing for a fuss. I find it very funny to hear Dad call them like that as if they were both official members of the Asyraf family. Dad's more on their side than Dad's own son-in-law."

"Currently, Sheryl and Baruna's household problems are just a matter of time. After Sheryl's memory returns, she must return to reality and accept Rafael as her stepson." Dad said so calmly.

"Do you realize what you're saying? It would be very painful for him. Let alone being aware of Felicia's presence here." My emotions are starting to catch on. I think my head is starting to heat up.

"We can't separate Fely from Rafa, Rey. Fely wouldn't have let his son be in this house if he wasn't next to Rafa."

"How is the future of the woman? He's young and certainly has a personal life too, Dad. He can't stay in this house forever. What about that thing? Did Dad and Baruna have any plans for her?"

Dad's chest expanded, took a deep breath, then deflated a second later. But unfortunately he couldn't answer my question clearly, and it made me even more inflamed. With annoyance, I stood up.

"If you're not strict, I'll make it clear!"

Dad suddenly got up from his seat. "About Felly and Rafa, I beg you not to make the situation more complicated, even if you still have feelings for Sheryl. I will allow you to stay here because your intention is only to help Sheryl get her memories back, nothing more. Moreover, if you have malicious intentions separate the two. I'll be really mad at you. And don't ever assume I'm your father."

Hearing father's words, made my breath stifled. It feels so heart-wrenching. Quickly, I took a deep breath, then exhaled it so roughly. Turning her back, she was forced to answer him obediently, "Yes, Dad. To me Sheryl's happiness is more important than anything in the world."

I closed the door to my dad's office with a messed up feeling. My tears are back. No one seems to think about Sheryl the way I think about her.

"Rey?"

I looked back, hearing Sheryl's voice calling out to me. Sheryl walked over from the end of the hall. Instantly, I put a smile on her. She always looked beautiful with any clothes attached to her body.

"Where are you going?" my many.

"Eating table."

"Yes. Aren't we going to have breakfast together?" Sheryl asked back.

"He-it." I nodded and then fell silent. Everything was immediately broken after talking to my father.

Sheryl frowned at me. "What's wrong? Seems like something you're thinking? You sleep well, don't you?"

I smiled, then answered the question quickly, "No. Its alright. Come to the dining table!"

All eyes were on us as Reynand and I arrived at the dining room. Felicia, Mother, and Baruna stared coldly, and for a while stopped their breakfast. A second later, Baruna got up from her seat.

"You shouldn't have to force yourself to eat together, honey. I've asked Bik Rindang to deliver your breakfast to the room" he said, who immediately grabbed my hand and sat down next to him.

"A lot of sleep makes my head feel dizzy and I don't think it will help me remember anything" I replied.

"Everything has its time. You don't have to force yourself, Sher," added Felicia who sat in front of Baruna.

"Yes, Brother. Thanks for your attention." I raised both corners of my lips, looking at him. He seemed friendly, but somehow his hospitality made me uncomfortable.

"You don't have to be shy. Yeah, right, Raf?" Felicia looked at her son.

"Yes, Aunt." Dutifully Rafael lowered his head while smiling at me.

I smiled at them again. Baruna doesn't talk much. He brought me food without asking. "I can do it myself" I told him.

"Serving a sick wife is also a form of love for him" he said despite painstakingly taking everything on the table with his left hand.

"But you haven't healed yet" I said.

"I'll get well soon, honey. You see, my legs that were once broken are now healed."

I lowered my head, looking at her strong-looking legs. Didn't know he ever had a broken bone in his leg.

"Just yesterday's accident Sheryl doesn't remember. Especially with that long accident. Do you think you are always in your heart and head?." Reynand suddenly commented.

The accident? I asked in my heart.

"So you've been in an accident twice?" ask me to Baruna.

Baruna turned her originally calm facial water, suddenly turning into a disappointed and sad look. That makes me a little bit pity.

"I'm sick of it now" he said with a long sigh.

"Thyak?"

"Sher, can you change that cold attitude of yours to me? I am not a stranger. Your husband! Since yesterday you have made me patient. Now also change your call! And make it clear to Reynand that your feelings never change even if you forget me."

Baruna looked at me so deeply that it made me flinch. Only the eyeballs that were moving directed my gaze at Reynand. She folded her hands together on her chest, looking back at me with eyes that were also full of curiosity.
