The Marriage Order
S3 Innocence of Little Boy

Baruna Pov's

Rafael looked at me and Dad was timid, but David kept pushing his steps closer towards us. The boy held out his hand. His little telephoto caught me off guard. A moment later greeted him and he politely kissed the back of the old man's hand in front of him.

"Nr ...." The boy looked back at his father. David immediately said softly, telling Rafael to call me Father. Rafael turned his eyes back. "Dad," he said.

I swallowed hearing the boy's voice. His little hand was outstretched to us. After shaking hands with us, he who was shy immediately ran towards his papa again.

"Smart kid!" David thumbs up for Rafael.

I saw Rafael staring at Papa with a flat face. Looks like there's something he's thinking. "I understand Papa told me to call him grandpa because he has a lot of white hair on his head, but why should I call him Dad for the other guy? My dad is just one. Papa David."

It was seen that the little boy did not like to call me father. I didn't think he could protest David. David looked at me for a moment. Although I was nervous, I did not open my mouth. My heart skipped a beat and I let her gurgle pound and annoy me. A moment later, he looked back at David. He will be the one who will explain the reason to Rafael.

"Because Baruna is Papa's friend, so Rafa has to call him Dad. It's okay, isn't it?"

"He-em. All right, no problem." With his indifference Rafael nodded in agreement and then returned busy with his toys.

For a long time I watched the interaction between father and son. Maybe I'll be like that later too. But deep down in my heart, I don't want to interact with Rafael. I want to be close to my son with Sheryl.

Long enough to make my mind drift. Recollecting the moment David appeared in front of the hotel room and asked me to speak. We came to a bar and talked from heart to heart.

David took a long breath. But there was no relief in the look on his face. I think he tried to arrange it in such a way. Who wouldn't be nervous about meeting their own son's father.

"Two years after Rafael was born, Felicia was finally pregnant. I am so happy because I am looking forward to it. But because of something, she suddenly miscarried. My sadness at that time was very prolonged. Not only was I sad, I blamed God. Rafael, who knew nothing, became the target of my anger and sorrow. Not infrequently, I hit him. I took all my feelings out on that kid. Raphael's crying. Felicia was no less sad. He was crying too. Fely hugged Rafael so tightly. I saw a mother figure who was very protective of her child."

"Huh? Why did you leave that to Rafa?" I was very surprised by the story he told me.

David grinned a little, then raised his whiskey glass, asking me toast. I did and drank a little.

David spoke back, "I also don't understand why the cut was to Rafael. But he's not a bad boy. Rafael only cried for a while, then returned cheerful and played as usual. Over and over, seeing her innocent face made me realize. It's not wrong anything. Why would I scold her and keep beating that kid just because Felicia miscarried? But now I understand. Maybe at that time, deep down inside my heart, I realized that the child was not my son. In the end, you know the end of this story. I knew the truth when my love for Rafael exceeded anything in the world. And it hurts so much, Bar."

I just kept quiet and could not comment. Being David must have been very painful and I can't imagine what it's like. I raised my glass again and drank it.

"I know from Felicia that you want to help financially. But that's not what I want, Bar. Money is not a problem for me" David said. He suddenly looked into my eyes with such serious eyes.

"Then?"

"My doctor's sister said that Rafael could be cured if there was a suitable spinal cord donor for him. Felicia and I checked our condition, but we both didn't fit in. The only hope is you. Can you help us?"

"Yes. In his blood must flow your blood. You can most likely do it."

"I don't want to!" my sergeant got off the bar chair.

I highlighted David with a sharp look. Really am! I would really mind doing it. I know the risks. If I become Rafael's donor, it's not impossible that my relationship with Felicia will get closer. He who is Cunning could have done something that could have destroyed my little family. Moreover, I heard from Felicia's own mouth that David was going to divorce her. Nah! I don't want to.

Hearing my rejection, David said nothing. He just replied with a look of disappointment. For a moment he fell silent, then finally opened his mouth.

"alright. I understand if you refuse. But if you change your mind, call me immediately. I'll wait patiently."

I didn't say anything and turned around and left the man there.

A few days passed until today, we finally met again. David comes with Rafael to the Asyraf branch in Tokyo. He and Raphael met us and are currently sitting in front of me and Dad. After time passed, I changed my mind. I'll help Rafael by donating my spinal cord to him.

After this, we will go to the hospital together. Not just accompany Rafael for his health control. I'm with my dad to check up on us. Yep. Dad wanted to check himself out too. Even though he was old, he knocked his heart to help Rafael.

Four hours have passed after our medical check-up. Right now we are all in the hospital. Me, Dad, and David waited anxiously in a cafe. We should have just gone home and seen the results tomorrow, but David insisted on staying. He reasoned that Felicia was on the road to the hospital wanting to see me.

We were in a cafe in the hospital lobby. I sipped a cold americano in front of me as I continued to look at Rafael who was talking to his Papa.

"When did Mama arrive?" tanya stared at her father's face.

David raised his arm, glancing at the circular watch. "About five minutes to go" he said.

"Guys!" Rafael smiled happily at the father's reply.

"Rafa, Baruna's father and Grandpa Anton were invited to talk, dong! You have to be nice to him because he wants to help you heal." David turned his gaze towards us who were sitting in front of him. Rafael follows the movements of his father's eyeball. He looked at the two of us, then nodded as if he had a brilliant idea to talk.

"Dad Baruna has no children?" the question is so innocent.
