The Marriage Order

The Marriage Order
S3 I Decide My Own Happiness

Baruna Pov's

I chased after Felicia who walked up to the ballroom exit. Even though her stomach was growing, she was quite agile. I grabbed her shoulder from behind until she finally stopped and turned around. Immediately, I took her to a quieter place to talk alone.

"When did you come?" my many.

Felicia throttled, then pulled her hand firmly away from me. "It was long enough until I finally dropped my glass," he replied with a gasp of emotion, "you're really crazy, Bar! You're gonna divorce me, huh?!" the upset.

"Yes! I can't stand marrying you. I'll divorce you after our son is born!" I pointed.

"Truly...." Felicia shook her head then fell silent for a moment. He held his breath until his emotions seemed to subside, "fine, because I don't want to divorce you, I'll pretend I don't hear it."

"I'm serious!"

"I'm serious too. I won't let this boy grow up without his father." Felicia looked down and rubbed her stomach.

"I'm not saying I'm going to give up my responsibilities with our son" I don't agree with Felicia's words.

Felicia raised her face. His eyes were so sharp that they were pointing at me. "It turns out you haven't changed. It's also selfish. I've misjudged you. I thought after getting married and taking care of Rafael together, we'd be the happiest family in the world."

"Fely, I don't love you. How can we continue this marriage while my heart continues to ache to see Sheryl's affection with Reynand? I can't let him be with Rey."

"Can't! It's because of you who won't turn away from her! You keep hoping Sheryl changes her mind and accepts you. Conscious, Bar!"

"Sheryl still loves me."

"Curtain! Your song is talking about love, when you yourself are ruining his feelings," Felicia replied with a growl and turned her body.

"Where are you going?"

"You think I'll just let her be happy, huh?!" sahut Felicia's. I don't know what Felicia was thinking. His eyes suddenly looked terrifying.

"Never bother him, Fel!" I screamed but Felicia didn't care. He continued walking down the hallway to the ballroom. Immediately, I went back to chasing him.

Sheryl Pov's

The MC on stage said that the next event was a dance session to celebrate Reynand's proposal. Ten seconds later, romantic music was played. I sat down with Reynand, Aunt Aina, and Father Anton at one of the ballroom tables and glanced at Reynand.

Reynand seemed to have noticed my gaze towards him. Both corners of her thin lips suddenly lifted. "You dance?" he said half whispered in my ear.

"But I'm not very good" I said.

"No problem. I can help you" he replied and extended his hand.

I just stared at Reynand's arm, a little hesitant to welcome her. Aunt Aina and Anton's father turned their eyes to us.

"Wait what else, Sheryl?" Aunt Aina commented.

"Yes, what are you waiting for? Reynand wants you" Anton's father added.

I finally nodded, immediately welcoming his handsome arm. Reynand took me in the middle and we started doing it.

Reynand hooked her finger on my palm. He pulled my body slightly until we were very close. The gentle look in her eyes made her face warm and heart palpitating. However, I turned my head and looked from afar at the beautifully circular ring on my ring finger. Really am! I can't believe what happened tonight. He proposed to me in front of the guests.

"You keep watching the ring. Your future husband is right in front of you right now" said Reynand when he noticed my eyes looking at the diamond ring.

Hearing her words, I suddenly turned my gaze back on Reynand's face. "I still can't believe what happened. It's like a dream to me, Rey," I said, with a small smile.

"You like it?"

I'm nodding. "How could I not like it? It's your choice, Rey."

"Who said that? I haven't bought you a ring at all."

Reynand nodded slowly. "If you like it, I think your taste is the same. You will surely become more familiar."

"Hopefully." I just nodded.

I don't know why I disagreed with Reynand's one last sentence. Will it be more familiar? Not that I don't like. It's just, this is a very surprising start. Me and Aunt Aina, is it possible? Even with Aunt Meri who was blatantly good back then I was still so awkward after marrying her son. What about Aunt Aina? Hopefully he does not retract his words because he regrets to bless us.

Reynand and I continued our dance steps following the romantic music that was not yet over. Music brings its own romance into our relationship. Reynand's honest eyes said she didn't want to end the session quickly. I feel the same way too. Unfortunately, not with this stomach. Rumbles heartburn.

"Rey, I want to go to the toilet for a second!" I said to hold my stomach.

"Toilets?"

"Nature call. It seems like I ate something sour and spicy earlier," I said, smiling shyly as I showed the row of incisors in front of him. Our romantic moment had to be interrupted because of this goddamn nature call.

"Do I need company?"

"No need." I shook my head quickly, then walked away from Reynand.

I left Reynand, walking to the toilet. But on the way, someone stopped my steps with his burly arm that suddenly grabbed my hand from behind. I turned. Baruna was standing in front of me.

"Our conversation is not over, Sheryl!"

I immediately pulled my hand out of it, but Baruna's grip was very strong. Baruna is really stubborn. He won't let me go. While this damn stomach can also not be compromised. Can only withstand the growing heartburn.

"There's nothing to talk about anymore, Mom!"

Baruna pulled my hand up. "No! I want you to know that I-" Suddenly he fell silent with eyes that almost glared towards the ring that was coiled on my ring finger, "i-this...."

I didn't answer and could only stare at the man. I don't know since when, but I saw Reynand who was walking with long steps approaching us.

"Lo don't interfere, Rey. It's my business with Sheryl!" Baruna doesn't care about Reynand's presence between us.

"Sheryl accepted my proposal. We're getting married soon. So, Sheryl's business is also my business, Bar," he said confidently.

Baruna's previously tense gaze slowly turned loosened. He took my hand off her. "So I really don't have a chance anymore?"

"I'm sorry, Mom," I said, turning around. No matter what the disappointed Baruna was. I left her with Reynand.

I really don't know sikon! Haish! My stomach!

A few moments later, when I finished using the toilet and was about to leave the room, one of the other rooms opened. A pregnant woman I've been wanting to meet all along emerged from inside. Felicia.

"Sheryls...." Felicia suddenly grinned, but her gaze was so unsheathed as if she wanted to kill me. "ultimately we met in this place."

"Fely...." I tried to ignore it and went to the sink to wash my hands.

"It looks like you're very happy tonight" Felicia said.

I glanced at the mirror, finding the look in his eyes that was pointing at my finger.

"What do you really want to say, Fely? I don't have time to serve you!" I said I didn't want to make fun of him.

"I admit Mr. Reynand's taste for women's jewelry is very good. Unfortunately when it comes to a woman, her taste is not good at all."

Hearing her words made me swallow. I immediately closed the water tap and looked coldly at him. Anyway, I knew Felicia was trying to provoke my anger.

"That's none of your business, Fely. You better take good care of your family so that Baruna can love you more and undo her intention to divorce."

Felicia grinned and then pursed. "You're a really shameless woman, Sheryl. Two men fighting over you. One begged to return and the other asked to be married at about the same time. Don't think you'll be happy easily. Nah! I won't let it."

"I love Rey, I decide my own happiness, and I'm not the cunning woman who snatches someone else's husband like someone I used to know!" I confirmed himself, reminding him of his actions to me.

"Haish! You're such a shitty woman!" Felicia's face turned stiff. His gaze turned angry. The pregnant woman suddenly stretched out her hands and pulled my hair so tightly.
