Sheryl Pov's
What the hell am I doing now? I was on the veranda outside the ballroom just with him.
The night breeze instantly touched the skin as it was unprotected in my pink dress. My gaze led to the figure of the man standing before me at this moment. Barunas. His eyes are so soft. Eyes that never changed in the past.
Baruna took off her black suit. Without hesitation, he put the black suit on my body that was dressed slightly open on his back.
"No, Mas. You don't have to bother," I said rejecting him. But while trying to take off the suit, Baruna held him back.
"It doesn't bother at all. I brought you here. So, I don't want you to get sick, Sher," she said.
"Thank you, Mom," I said, accepting his treatment.
Just a moment ago, we did meet in a ballroom. She assured me that I could carry Ezra so I wouldn't have to be afraid to touch that one-and-a-half-year-old baby.
Thanks to his words, I also ventured to carry him. The four of us also spent time chatting together in a familiar atmosphere like before. It was an atmosphere I missed so much. It all feels the same. Different, just my status and Baruna's.
In the midst of the conversation, Daniel's business partner came over. He also wanted to accompany his guests. Before long, Ezra immediately fussed because of sleepiness. Indira joined the party because she wanted to love her son. Then it was just me and Baruna.
I don't know why Baruna was alone at Reynand's birthday party, but it seems the man didn't think much of it. Unlike me, he doesn't care how people look at him right now. Seeing me uncomfortable inside, Baruna asked me to speak elsewhere. And finally, here we are.
"Where's Felicia? I didn't see him at all." I opened the conversation.
"Some time he will come" replied Baruna then grabbing a glass of wine from the table and drinking it.
"Why don't you come together?" I raised my eyebrows. People who see will definitely consider them a partner who does not get along in marriage.
"Fely said there was something he wanted to take care of first before coming here."
"Then Rafa?"
"Mother with him at home. He's worried Rafa's gonna sleep late if he has to come with us to the party."
I nodded in understanding, then fell silent. It feels awkward to be alone with him, while there is nothing important we can discuss. Baruna again sipped her drink with a view that was not also separated from me.
"I don't understand why you keep asking where Fely was when I met him. Don't you hate him?"
I snorted and then pulled half a smile on my face. "Hating and asking where he is has nothing to do with it. To be honest, I wanted to meet him just once. I want to make sure she can take my place as a wife."
"You knew? Nothing can replace your position at all until this moment" Baruna said. The look in his eyes changed showing a sense of regret. But I shook my head and pretended not to understand the signal he gave me.
"She was the mother of Rafael and his future sister. Be nice to Fely," I said and loosened Baruna's coat, "I'd better go back inside. I'm afraid Rey will be looking for me." I immediately returned Baruna's suit.
Baruna did not comment. She grabbed it and put it back on. Without many words, I immediately turned around to leave him.
Just a few steps were about to go inside, this step suddenly had to stop. Baruna suddenly hugged my body from behind.

Sheryl flipped her body, left me. Instantly the feeling of sadness I was holding back was so strong. I can't hold back or lie any more for the sake of making Sheryl's happiness come true.
Ever since Aunt Aina asked me how I felt about Sheryl, I kept thinking about that. I lied because I didn't want Aina's father and Aunt to think I was weak because I couldn't turn my back on my ex-wife. But that is the truth. I was so weak that I could not turn around and forgive myself.
Sheryl had just lifted her leg to walk a few steps. I who saw him move away didn't want to let him out of my sight. With a quick step, I caught up with him. Shamelessly, he caught her from behind, then like a child crying because his toy was taken away, asking himself not to leave me.
"Don't go! Don't leave me, Sher." I said, then paused for a moment, "i'm so sorry. I love you so much. I want us to go back to what we used to be," I whined my arms around him.
"Mas Bar, don't do this" he replied, then tried to unravel both of my hands around his waist. However, I immediately tightened it so that it flinched into place.
"Don't marry Reynand, Sher. Really am! I just realized, until now I still can't see you with other men. Please come back to me. We can leave everything and be happy in one family. Me, you, and Rafael. Know it? He likes you a lot too. I'm sure she can accept you as a mother" I said at length
An unsettled roar instantly appeared in the heart. I'm waiting for Sheryl's real answer. I'm sure he still loves me.
Unfortunately, Sheryl did not give an answer. The woman did not answer. I removed the link of my hand, switched to his shoulder. I rotated Sheryl's body until we stood facing each other. I can't stand my feelings anymore. My hand turned to draw his face closer. In a split second, our lips met. I touched her cold lips.

Reynand Pov's
A few moments before....
".... I hope the guests can enjoy the party and the treats. Thank you for coming to my birthday party tonight. Finally, have fun!"
I closed my short speech on stage. In a hurry to return the microphone to the on-duty MC. How not? My heart has not been calm since. I keep thinking about Sheryl because she's suddenly missing, not in the hotel ballroom.
Stalled steps. Mom stopped as I was about to step off the stage.
"Rey, you don't come down. We have to cut the tart first." Mama reprimanded.
"But Ma, I need to find Sheryl. He suddenly goes missing with Indira. Haish!" sahutku.
"You can call him, right?"
"No. Julian just gave me a clutch with his cell phone. He said it was left at the middle table. Sheryl didn't have her phone, Ma." I pointed at the table behind us. There I put my lover's cluch.
"Just a second! Mama's gonna call Indira and ask her."
Mom finally called Indira. I listened to the conversation until it was over. Indira said Sheryl wasn't with him. Indira goes to the hotel room carrying Ezra who is fussy due to sleepiness. Dira also says that he left Sheryl with Baruna.
Suddenly my feelings became bad. I decided to get off the stage, circling my gaze around the room, but his figure was nowhere to be seen.
As I walked across the large door leading to the ballroom veranda, my steps came to a halt there. That place is deserted. I just saw two people I knew standing there. The sudden sight made both my eyes fully rounded. Baruna hugged Sheryl from behind, then switched to kissing her in such a fast time.
