I glanced at the wall clock in the living room which showed it at half twelve. I glanced at Mr. Reynand who was still sitting on the living room sofa. His eyes were still focused on the laptop screen in front of him. I just finished eating and taking medicine after this stomach thrashed for filling. Finally there was a bad breakfast.
Mr. Reynand raised his head to look at me coldly. Then continue looking forward to the laptop.
"Why are you still standing there? Your work isn't done."
I sat down next to Mr. Reynand. Our eyes were staring at the laptop. He turned to me for a moment and shifted his seat away from me.
"What's wrong? I'm not going to infect Father with disease."
"Ah is okay. You can forward the file immediately. At two o'clock I have another meeting with the head of the production section," said Mr. Reynand as he glanced at his watch.
I just fell silent while taking a deep breath hearing his words. My fingers started dancing on the laptop. Sometimes I glance at him who is playing the latest smartphone he has. Sometimes he was serious and laughed at himself staring at that little thing. Unaware our eyes suddenly met staring at each other. I hurried to turn my face away.
"Is there something strange on my face?" tanyakanya.
I shook my head smiling with a grin and then returned busy with the laptop screen.
A while later, he sipped the coffee before him slowly while glancing sharply at me.
"What are your plans after not working for my company?"
Mr. Reynand asked me something I never imagined. I just haven't thought of doing anything yet. The point is I just want to stop.
I turned to him and said, "I don't have a plan."
"It's a shame if it has the ability but can not be used," he said.
"Depart me to think. After getting engaged maybe I will focus on the wedding. Well, even though the preparation is over and just waiting for the day."
"I heard you were set up?"
"Do you know where?"
"Of course the media. You are the artist lately. Is that true?" ask again.
"Yes sir."
"You know, my mother was also betrothed and it didn't work."
"Yes I heard from Baruna."
"Aren't you afraid that's happening?"
"We love each other. Of course our marriage will work. You're weird, suddenly talking about personal issues?" many wonder.
"It's okay. It's just that I'm not interested in the matchmaking system. We should be able to choose someone who really clicks to be our partner until old age. It can't be messing around Sher."
I was silent not responding to his words.
"Hey I'm sorry if you were thinking. I didn't mean to make you doubt."
"By the way you yourself why not get married? You already have a boyfriend. It's not good to hang a woman's fate."
I asked him something that struck him directly in front of him that made him silently stare and then smile with a grin.
"Do you care when I get married?"
"Ti - no. As a fellow woman, I just feel sorry for Kayla who suspended her relationship with Mr."
Mr. Reynand squinted his eyes, bringing his face so close to mine.
I pulled my body away from her face. I'm afraid that the events of a week ago happened again.
"Sorry sir, it looks like the proposal is over. Please Mr. check," I said to divert the conversation while thrusting the laptop into his lap.
Mr. Reynand stared directly at the laptop checking my work. His eyes were so focused on checking the word for word listed in the file.
"Okay, since it's over, I'll take Sher home." Mr. Reynand turned off his laptop put it in a bag.
He stood up with a back carry bag and hung the suit on his stocky arm. I drove him to the porch. Mom who accidentally saw us coming out came to us.
"Sheryl, your boss isn't at lunch. It's time for lunch" said Mama, smiling.
I turned towards Mr. Reynand, "Where is Sir?"
He who was getting ready to go home was silent for a moment and nodded his head in agreement, "May."
"Hey, didn't you say you wanted to meet? But was invited to lunch by Mama he complied."
Me and Mr. Reynand stepped into the dining room following Mama who had walked first.
Mr. Reynand sat in a chair close to Mama who was also just about to have lunch. I just watched them while playing the phone in my grasp.
"Oh, what's your name?" mama asked while preparing the plate for Mr. Reynand.
"Reynand, Aunt."
"Oh Reynand who was called the first son of Anton huh?"
"Mama ..," I said slowly, my eyes were round and I stuck my index finger against my lips.
Mama glanced at me, covered her mouth with her palm realizing that she was speaking wrong. He then placed a plate containing rice and side dishes in front of Mr. Reynand.
"It's okay Auntie. What Auntie was talking about was true." Mr. Reynand started putting the first mouthful into his mouth.
"Sorry that Auntie is sassy. Please enjoy the food," said Mama while smiling knots then prepare the food for yourself.
Mr. Reynand simply nodded his head while enjoying the food before him. I looked at her for a moment with a hint of admiration for her calmness in the face of Mama's words that might have touched her earlier.
I could not take my eyes off, and suddenly he looked at me. Our eyes met each other, I lowered my head and looked back at the cell phone in my grasp.
"Why is he so different today? Where are the veils of annoyance he used to show me?"
Time shows at half-time. Mr. Reynand moved from his seat carrying his bag back and wearing his suit so dashing. Mama and I drove him to the front porch. He came home to us. His right hand kissed the back of Mama's hand a sign of respect for the older one.
"Sher I apologize for my mistakes so far that a lot of upset and disappointed you to me. I hope in the next meeting we can have a better relationship. You don't have to call me father anymore." Mr. Reynand stretched out his hand asking me to shake hands.
"Yes Sir. Hopefully all the problems that occur between the father and the Baruna family can be quickly resolved. You don't have to argue anymore and everything can be discussed properly" I said.
Mr. Reynand just fell silent not to reply to my words. I welcomed the burly hand, shaking hands. She looked at me with a small smile on her lips, so sweet that it made me a little moved before finally getting into the car and darting back to the office.
Mama who saw us both talking just smiled staring. He nodded his head hinting that what I said earlier to the man was correct. I walked over to Mama.
"Ma, I'm tired. I want to rest again" I said.
Mama hugged me and said, "Mama is proud of you growing up. But it seems like she has feelings for you, son."
I gasped in shock at Mama's words, turning to her, "Certainly?"
"A mother will never misjudge Nak" she said.
