The Marriage Order

The Marriage Order
Something's Changed

I glanced at my watch which just showed me at nine in the morning. An hour ago Mr. Reynand invited me to a meeting with his client at ten in the morning. My eyes are still sleepy, my mouth is still evaporating many times wanting more oxygen into the body. Brother Baruna drove me home from the hospital late at night because there were some reporters waiting in front of my house all day. It makes us reluctant to go home early.

The thirst began to cloud my throat. I grabbed the drinking glass, stepped towards the water dispenser inside the pantry, pressed the cold water button, the water started out filling the glass then drank it while standing right in front of the pantry door. His mouth began to swallow the full glass of water impatiently. I haven't had time to spend it, suddenly Mr. Reynand went into the pantry startling me, my eyes wide in shock. I sprayed it with white water coming from my mouth right about his shirt.

Mr. Reynand's eyes blinked for a moment, looking at me annoyed, his mouth pursed, his hands trying to dry his plain shirt. I also panicked as soon as I put my glass on the table and did the same, wiping the wet shirt with both hands, even if it was a waste. His chest that field was palpable with a very firm shape. Mr. Reynand glanced at me awkwardly.

"Well wet the shirt ..," I said slowly.

Mr. Reynand looked down at his wet shirt and looked up at him, "Who asked to hold?!" snapped it.

I woke up and pulled my hand and rounded both eyes for a moment and fell silent. He tidied his sloping tie while looking cynically at me.

"Sorry Sir. I was completely unintentional. You yourself came in to surprise me," I replied.

"I'm looking for you, Sheryl. But ah ... You made my shirt wet. There will soon be a meeting" he said, holding his forehead with his fingers like a confused person.

"Yes, I'm sorry sir. Besides, in my room, there are a lot of shirts that can be worn."

"Hhmmmp ..," said Mr. Reynand, "I'd like to wear this shirt for today's meeting."

"Yes for goodness sake .... Don't make it complicated, sir." I walked out of the pantry into Mr. Reynand's room. Mr. Reynand followed me from behind still blinking his lips.

I opened his shirt cabinet, picked out a long-sleeved white purple-striped shirt I forced it to him. He grabbed the shirt staring at him.

"Be seen, wear sir," I commanded as I went to the waist.

Mr. Reynand stared and laughed with a grin as he said, "You're the boss now?"

I closed my mouth with one palm surprised to realize that I had been commanding at will.

"I go out first Sir," I replied as I turned around in quick steps.

"Gosh what have I done? Treat him like a friend. He's my boss and just yesterday my heart said hate him."

I leaned my shoulders on the chair waiting for Mr. Reynand who changed clothes. The need for the meeting I prepared earlier. The door of the room was open, Mr. Reynand was standing in the shirt I had chosen just now. Looks dashing and looks more radiant wearing that shirt. A handsome? Yes, he's handsome.

He stepped closer to me and asked, "What do you think? Our clients today are very important. I don't want to fail just because of bad looks."

"Suit sir" I replied briefly.

I packed up some of the documents I needed. The snacks, drinks, and other necessities associated with the meeting have been cleared up. We walked to the meeting room as usual.

An hour later the meeting was still going smoothly until suddenly Mr. Reynand's phone vibrated several incoming calls with the same number, it seemed like it was an important call. Mr. Reynand got up from his seat to receive the important call out of the room. I stood up to take over the meeting for a moment. Not long after, Mr. Reynand went back in, whispering in my ear.

"There's some reporters waiting for you in the office lobby. How's it?"

I was shocked to hear Mr. Reynand's words, turning around and out of the room at once. I walked back and forth in front of the door thinking about what I should do now. No sooner did Mr. Reynand open the exit door looking at me in wonder.

"I have to meet those people. Tell me the truth," I said sure.

"Are you really meeting?"

"Yes. You see for yourself the video that was spread was just a video clip of a fight. Not the full video explains anything."

"Yes there to meet people whose work is just frying the news so crowded," he said smiling cynically.

"Why do you say that?"

"It's okay anyway. Though I've asked the head of the PR department who handles special relations with the media to help you overcome it."

"really?"

Mr. Reynand nodded coldly then returned to the meeting room with his casual steps.

"Tumben he was good today. It seems like he took the wrong medicine of a good man. It's like he's getting lucky, "my inner self.

I then followed Mr. Reynand into the meeting room again continued the meeting that had stopped for a moment.

I don't feel the time has shown at five or fifteen minutes when I pack my things into the bag. Mr. Reynand out of his room had changed into casual clothes while hanging his suit on his right arm. His left arm carried a tote bag containing his personal belongings and dirty clothes.

"Sheryl tomorrow I'm going on leave. Please rearrange my schedule for two days."

"Cock impromptu sir? Just make it hard."

"Hey like me dong. Now who's the boss?" ask Mr. Reynand to challenge.

"He knows Reynand Alex Pradipta is my boss!" irked me.

"Mahaha ...." Mr. Reynand laughed happily and said, "Yes I've come home first." He then walked towards the exit.

"Sir, I want to talk" I shouted.

Mr. Reynand looked back and turned towards me. He scrunched his forehead staring sharply.

"Regarding my resignation, have you got a replacement?"

Mr. Reynand raised next to his brows in response, "Why think about it? I've already ripped your resignation letter. I'm not letting you out of the company."

"I insist" I replied firmly.

"Please. But I will not seek a replacement. I like the way you work. Well, sometimes stupid." Mr. Reynand laughed then turned back towards the exit.

I pursed my lips in annoyance. Can only nag. It was good to praise and drop. I mean it's good, so if there's a replacement now I can hand over the job to him. The new secretary did not have to feel the hassle of working without direction like me. Just look at me running away from this place. Let him fire an abandoned beard and feel his own work.

Suddenly my phone rang, Brother Baruna called me. I answered his call.

"I'm in front of your office, baby" he said.

"OK me out. Wait a minute" I replied.

I stepped out of my study and into the elevator. On the fifth floor of the open elevator, several people entered including Wildan and Irene who were also going home from work. We looked at each other smiling.

"Picked up?" ask Wildan.

I nodded, "Lo?"

"Yes" he answered.

"How about Ren?" my many.

"Gue went home by himself Sher. My singles now," Irene said quietly.

I patted her on the shoulder, "Patience baby. The soul mate will come in time," comfort me.

Wildan laughed at my words. Irene pinched my cheek angrily.

Ting!

Elevator door opens. We all got out of the elevator, walked towards the exit. I saw Fandy and Kak Baruna's car parked out front. The two drivers were standing chatting in front of the lobby.

"Why are they so familiar?" my inner.

We all came out to them. Brother Baruna who saw me immediately grabbed my palm and grasped it tightly as if he would not take it off for a second. Fandy and Wildan just smiled at Kak Baruna's attitude. Irene suddenly stroked walking in our midst.

"Don't stand in the street ya mas-mas and mbak-mbak. I go home first, friends," she said, waving her hand.

"Yes be careful" I waved back.

"Be careful Ren." Wildan waved his hand.

We face each other face to face. Fandy looked at me timidly and said, "I've heard from Wildan that you forgive him. Thank you for forgiving our mistakes."

"No need to think about it. I've received it with a chest. Remember my best friend Wildan, if you mess around I'll be looking for you first" I threatened.

"Yes Sheryl is once again sorry for my mistake" Fandy said.

I fell silent, this man who made me shed a lot of tears a month ago. Now apologize to me with a face of pity.

"Yes I'm sorry but the past can never be changed. Maybe in another corner of my heart there is still a little bit of sadness because of you but thanks to you now I can choose the right person for me" I said.

"Sher ...." Fandy did not continue his words because Kak Baruna interrupted our conversation.

"We go first, yes" Brother Baruna pulled my hand over to his car.

Fandy and Wildan could only stare at our backs from afar. Their faces showed remorse. Baruna's sister started the engine of her car. I put on a seat belt. The car started to run slowly.

The streets of the capital in the afternoon felt stifling. Traffic jams happen everywhere. I looked at Brother Baruna who had not spoken in the least. His eyes continued to focus on the road in front of him. Not long after the car stopped. Traffic lights are red.

"Darling why are you?" my many.

"Why are you trying to talk so much with him? Wear threatening everything," she protested.

"Loh why? I'm just reminding him that his actions are not good. I wouldn't accept that he suddenly cheated on my friend Wildan" I said.

"Karma can happen, baby. Don't interfere in their affairs."

"You jealous?" I squinted my eyes at Kak Baruna.

"Learn jealousy. His name is talking to the ex there must be a little paper," he said annoyed.

I stroked Kak Baruna's shoulder whispering softly, "You don't need to doubt that which is definitely dear. I who have certainly loved and chosen you will always be by your side."

Baruna smiled as she stepped on her gas pedal again as the traffic light returned green.

"You can always make me happy" she whispered.
