What a Surprising Surprise

The frenzied atmosphere in the hospital's IGD room that night didn't make us affected. We were just stunned to see Mr. Reynand who appeared suddenly. Is he really the big brother that Brother Daniel talks about?

The man stood straight in front of us. He was a little surprised to see the four of us sitting waiting in the IGD waiting room. The glare of his sharp eyes as well as his icy nature made us speechless. He looked at Brother Baruna smiling.

"How's the Bar? Oops....wrong, how are you doing on this one?" sindir Pak Reynand reached out his hand to invite Kak Baruna to shake hands.

"Good news. Long time no see. I hardly know your face anymore." Baruna sister quipped back.

"Lo is too much. A while ago we met. Maybe you even talked a lot about me. Isn't that Sher?" Mr. Reynand turned to me. His eyes are scary.

I fell silent. Hand clenched. Kak Dita who participated in the atmosphere pulled the arm of Kak Reza. His head was left sinking on the shoulder behind my brother. He was afraid that a fight would arise.

"What mood is this? Why is the look on his face so different when he meets Kak Baruna face to face? He's like someone hunting down his enemy, "my inner self.

Brother Reza who was next to Kak Baruna whispered, "Bar better lo and Reynand chat in another place. This place is not a suitable place for a disagreement."

"At this time I have nothing to do with you all. I just want to see my brother again," said Mr. Reynand as if to know the whisper of Reza.

Mr. Reynand stepped out of us, into the IGD room in a very haughty way.

"Darling, may she be Indira's sister?" said Brother Dita to my sister.

"I also think like that" replied Reza then turned to Kak Baruna while patting his best friend's shoulder, "Bar, did you know before?"

Baruna shook her head. He's down, chin-backed. I touched his head and ruffled his hair. Baruna looked at me.

"You don't have to think things through" he said slowly.

"No. I just want to calm you down, baby. Whatever you think, I can be your loyal listener." I smile.

Brother Baruna nodded then gently stroked my cheek.

"Thank you" he said

Not long after that, Daniel came. He's out of the IGD room. His face looked very happy as well as there was a sense of worry.

"Indira is pregnant," she said half shouting in excitement.

"Congratulations, brother" I said.

"Congratulation Bro. You'll be a father soon." My sister hugged her best friend.

"Congratulations, my friend" said Baruna.

"Congratulations, Niel" added Brother Dita.

"Thank you everyone. I love all of you" said Brother Daniel shed his tears.

"Then can Indira come home tonight?" ask Reza.

"Unfortunately, I had to hospitalize. He's so limp."

"But it's already Niel?" ask Brother Dita.

"Yes. She was talking to her sister whom I was talking about. She ...."

"You mean Reynand, Niel?" Brother Baruna cut off the words of Brother Daniel.

"Yes. How do you know anyway? I'll tell you whose name is." Daniel was surprised and astonished.

"Ah long story. Replace me with a story. I want to look at Dira first."

"Yes, come on."

We hurried to the inpatient room where Dira was being treated. Looks like Dira is talking seriously with Mr. Reynand. Dira who noticed our presence greeted us with his smile.

"I'm sorry to bother you all. Here dong. Sick old age far away."

We also approached. Mr. Reynand stood up from his chair all of a sudden. He looked at Indira with a completely different look in his eyes when he met Kak Baruna. Looks so shady.

"I went home first Dir. Get enough rest. Watch womb. He should always be healthy" he said.

"I did it for my sister's sake" he said as he swaggered past leaving the treatment room.

"I'll stay first." Brother Baruna suddenly left us. He followed the steps of Mr. Reynand who had passed first.

"Sister Baruna where are you going? Did he see Mr. Reynand?" inner wondering.

I looked at his back until it was gone behind the door. I wanted to go follow him but Brother Dita pulled my hand. He shook his head gesturing to let the two of them talk.

"He survived yes. Finally pregnant." Reza congratulated me.

"Thank you Za."

"Congratulations to Dir" said Brother Dita.

"Thank you D."

"Happy Dira. I'm worried you're fainting."

"Thank you Sher. Ii'm sorry. I also didn't realize I was pregnant."

"It's nothing Dir. I understand what happened earlier. Luckily I caught you to the toilet."

"You're too cuckoo Dir. Do not be too tired and eat nutritious," said Kak Dita.

Indira nodded with a smile as she rubbed her stomach gently, "I'm sorry Mama ya Nak."

I kept thinking about Brother Baruna who caught up with Mr. Reynand outside. My feelings are not good. I hope there is no fighting between them.

Half an hour later Baruna went into Indira's room. He's grabbing my shoulder. His face looks ordinary. There was no strange look on his return.

"Niel, my dir same Sheryl go home first huh. It's late" said Kak Baruna suddenly.

"Yes, thank you for driving and visiting" said Brother Daniel.

Indira smiled, "One song thank you very much all."

"Together Dir, Niel," I replied.

"The same Gue Dita went along with ya. I didn't bring a car" Reza said.

"Let's just relax" said Kak Baruna.

We all left the treatment room leaving the couple.

"This is key. I'm the Bar's steering wheel" said Kak Reza while we were in the parking lot.

Baruna threw the car keys and was immediately captured by Kak Reza. He was sitting in the steering wheel with his girlfriend beside him. Reza stepped on the gas and the car was running.

We drove Kak Dita first before returning home. The distance between the hospital and Kak Dita's residence is not too far away. Fortunately, the quiet night streets make travel time not felt.

"Thank you for dropping off. You guys be careful on the road. Do not speed yes dear," said Kak Dita while waving his hands say goodbye to Kak Reza's nod.

"Yes thank you, brother."

We also continued our journey. Baruna and Reza didn't talk much. Maybe because they feel so tired.

A few days later we finally arrived. Reza turned off his car engine and said goodbye first. He opened the car door and immediately entered the house. We were the only ones left in the car

"Dear, thank you for tonight. I'm very happy," I smiled as I looked at Kak Baruna.

"Yes. Thank you for accepting me like this. I love you so much" he said, then he paused and said, "Can you stop working from that place? I don't want to see you close to him."

"We've talked about this before, haven't we? Our relationship is a professional one and I still enjoy my work."

"Either perhaps this is just a form of selfishness. I talked to him a little bit. I just don't want to see you get involved with our business."

"You don't have to worry, I can take care of myself. It's late at night. You better go home, baby." I stroked her hair slowly.

Sister Baruna looked at me deeply, she brought her face closer and kissed my lips softly. It was our first kiss that made me flutter that night.
