Baruna PoVs

H-3 at 01:30.

I just arrived at the airport in my town. Carrying a backpack runs towards the airport parking lot. My mind has been branched everywhere. Imagine the look on his face that already knew the contents of the agreement. How angry and disappointed he was with me.

Reynand PoVs

Hospital, 10:00 in the morning.

Sheryl and I ran to the hospital ICU. The Baruna family and Sheryl's family are waiting in the ICU waiting room. Downcast sadly waited for Baruna who had not shown any meaningful development.

The adoration of my heart was sobbing to his parents. Then he approached Anton's father and Aunt Meri. He hugged Aunt Meri tightly.

"Tante, Sister Baruna ..." sobbed.

Aunt Meri hugged him and rubbed Sheryl's back. His love was so real in both of my eyes. She was crying too. His only son is dying. I approached Sheryl's parents, shaking hands with them.

That horrible atmosphere made me feel even more guilty. Baruna will give it all to me. His office and property for me. However, I was busy wanting to have Sheryl.

Rey, you're a depraved human being. There is nothing positive about you. Now look at your brother helpless in bed. You may have taken Sheryl's honor and thought you were going to propose to her.

I blinked my eyes for a moment. Thinking what I should do now. Really, I'm sorry I did that kind of thing. Anton's father, who saw me, immediately got up from his seat. He's grabbing my shoulder.

Me and Mr. Reynand just got to the ICU waiting room. Found both my parents and Kak Baruna's parents who were already there. Sorrow awaits news from doctors and nurses.

Four beds lined up there. Each one is being treated by a helpless patient. We entered into a glass wall with curtains covering the perimeter of the room.

The sound coming from a nearby monitor rang regularly. Showing the numbers on the condition of Kak Baruna who fell asleep. I watched her sleep helplessly in bed. His closed eyes looked so peaceful.

I saw him up close. His head is full of bandages. His thick hair disappeared. Seeing his appalling condition.

Honey, why are you being so ugly like this? Look at your hair disappearing. You are no longer handsome.

I raised both corners of my lips thin. Tears fell down flowing with a rush. Aunt Meri hastily wiped my tears.

"Still strong?" tanyakanya.

"I want to be here for a minute. I want to be with him for a second, Auntie," I replied.

Aunt Meri nodded. I stroked her face with my finger which had just committed treason against her. Grasping his big hand. His feet were covered with thick casts.

Baby, wakeup! Fight with all your might! I don't know how to deal with you. Will you forgive me? What if you leave me? I'm not sure I'm facing this world alone without you.

I turned towards Mr. Reynand who turned his face away. I don't know what he's thinking. We are the most hypocritical and selfish people. It was so crowded to see Kak Baruna who could only lie helpless.

"Sheryl, I'm sorry Baruna has something wrong with you" said Aunt Meri suddenly rubbing my upper arm.

No, Auntie, I have a lot of fault with her. He's never wrong. She's my protector.

"Tante, don't say that. He'll be healed. My Baruna brother will be healed!" my screams.

Aunt Meri hugged me back. He whispered, "Yes he will be healed. You're getting married."

The words of Aunt Meri are very soothing as well as a very heavy burden. I came back crying. My mind was floating regretting everything that had happened.

Aunt, I betrayed your son!

Suddenly I remembered a last message I received from Kak Baruna.

"Darling, somehow I feel uneasy at this moment. My mind is always on you, May you be well there. When you read this message, there is one thing you need to remember, that I will always love you, my future wife."
