My eyeballs move towards two interlocked hands. Reynand seemed to tighten her grip on Sheryl's wrist just as Sheryl mentioned my name. His actions bother me a little.

"How are you?" sapaku immediately launched a question to my ex-wife.

"Well," he answered briefly, but he did not answer my question with the same question. His eyes turned towards Rafael. Sheryl looked at him coldly. His attitude has not changed. It's still the same as a year ago. Still consider this little boy a problem for him.

"You two–"

"The gas is done?" Sheryl suddenly interrupted me. Suddenly my mouth closed suspending the question that was about to slide for them. Yep. I was too curious about their relationship even though it seemed so obvious. Both must be in love.

"It has. We're done. Yeah, isn't it, Rafa?" I turned to look at my son. Rafael nodded quickly. "I'm going home" I added without further ado.

In fact, I'd love to interact more with Sheryl. How not? He disappeared for a year without news. His actions surprised me. He must have been so sick that he had to disappear far from Jakarta.

And now Sheryl's back to surprise me. I saw him with Reynand. There was a hint of envy that instantly flowed violently upon seeing the two. I'm the one who's remarried won't be able to reach Sheryl.

Just as I was about to leave them, Sheryl's voice suddenly rang out calling. It made me stop my steps without looking at them.

"Be careful, Mas ...," he said.

My legs felt stiff, unable to turn to look at him. Rafael and I flinch as if waiting for him to say another sentence from his mouth.

"... and thank you for coming to see him" he added.

"The boy is my son too. Loved her. You don't have to thank me, Sher," I said.

"Yes, I know, but I still want to thank you for visiting." Sheryl said softly to the point of making me even more full. He knows how I couldn't come to our son's grave because my guilt took away his life.

I don't say anything about Sheryl. I can no longer be in the cemetery. In any case, to visit my son's grave alone I had to gather a strong determination for months. Then now, jealousy suddenly came from seeing their closeness. A sight that makes me nervous.

My heart rate keeps pounding erratically. I shouldn't feel any more jealousy towards them. Anyway, I've guessed how their relationship will be in the future. Yep. They will surely be fooled.

My grip tightened on Rafael's small arm. Without wasting any more time taking her back to step forward leaving the burial area. I need to wake up, Felicia's waiting for us at home.

The next day….

The kling!

I glanced at my gawa lying on the table. A chat message came in. I grabbed it and found Baruna's name there.

[Are we meeting this afternoon?]

She knows where my number is?

My forehead frowned. No one from the Asyraf family should have known of my recent contacts including him.

A second later, as if knowing the contents of my head, the sound of the notification of the second chat message. A chat message from him came back.

[Sorry to bother you. You must be wondering where I know your number. I just asked for your contact from Reza.]

"Ck! Sister..," I grumbled.

I immediately typed in a reply message.

[What do you want to talk about? Can't you just talk about it here?]

Although he had forgiven, upon seeing him and Rafael yesterday, that bad memory suddenly appeared in my head. Our memories of happiness and sadness come together. Even though Reynand was beside me, the pain that I did not want to feel anymore entered my heart to see the two. Yep. In reality, I still have a dislike for the little boy.

[No. I just wanted to talk to you. I'll be waiting for you at lunchtime at Daniel's restaurant.]

[Alright.]

I agreed to it without much reason. Maybe there is something important that Baruna wants to say. We did part well, but I'm sure because of my decision to disappear without a trace, Baruna thinks I hate her.

A moment later, my phone went off. But this time it wasn't Baruna, it was Reynand who called. It seems like twenty-four hours is never enough for us who are drunk on romance. No time is wasted without it. Although busy, Reynand had no boss to contact me, and vice versa.

"Sher, today I may not be able to have lunch with you. There is a lunch schedule with a client. It's okay, isn't it?"

"Yes it's okay. You just focus on your job, Rey. Why are you even worried about a little matter like this? I'm not a sulking little kid."

"Little problem, huh? And to me it's a big deal because I miss you every day." Reynand's voice sounded a little disappointed.

"Oh, come. You think I don't feel the same way? I'm trying to understand your busyness, Rey. You have to prove to your mother that your performance will remain good in the company. Nothing has changed from you when you were in a relationship with me. You also remain happy, not feeling sad and disappointed because of me as your mother was worried about."

"Yes, Honey. I-i know. Mama didn't say anything about Livia either, but I'm sure she knew what happened without knowing it from my mouth. Maybe now you're starting to realize who's the only woman who can make me happy."

"I am, of course," I said, then followed slowly. Confidently said I was the only best woman for Aina's mother's son. On the other end of the phone, Reynand's laughter exploded.

"You're so adorable. Your confidence is growing."

"Just be wild. Your mama must know how much your love struggle has gotten to this point."

"It's not just me. It's our fight, Sher."

"Yes, okay. This is our fight. A struggle that will never end. I don't know when he'll stop hating me!" I'm getting upset. Remember the spicy words of Aunt Aina that made my heart ache.

"I'm sorry, my mother, yes."

I took a long breath. "Should we speak directly?"

"Yes, later. I promise we'll talk to him."

I don't answer anymore. My lips clenched, silent for a moment. Remembering my chat conversation with Baruna. I have to tell Reynand.

"Mas Baruna took me to lunch. He wants to tell me something."

"Come by. What are you worried about?" reynand without hesitation.

"You're letting me?"

"I don't mind. Baruna's just the past for you."

"And you're my future, Rey," I added.

"I'm actually starting to think about this. Can you call me the same way? You call him 'Mas', but not to me." Reynand suddenly said something unexpected.

"You envious?" My eyes fiddled asking Reynand.

"Ehm, I don't know. But, I just want to hear you call me that." Reynand refuted my accusations.

"Mas Rey?" My frowning forehead catapulted those two words. If earlier, I changed my calling when I married Baruna, Reynand wanted me to call her that while we were still in love.

"Yes, that's right! That doesn't sound bad. I like it." Reynand's voice suddenly turned carefree.

"Ma-Mas Reynand?" I said shrewdly. I can't believe my heartbeat turned irregularly calling him that. However, Reynand's happiness seems to be that simple. He sounds very happy.

"Yes, Honey. Alright. It's noon already. I'll call you back."
