The night is getting late. The wall clock in the family room shows ten o'clock. Me, Brother Baruna, Brother Reza, and Kak Dita are still sitting together. Mom and Dad were resting in their bedroom.
"When are you getting married?" ask Baruna suddenly.
"Gue is up to the princess." Brother Reza glanced towards Kak Dita.
Dita just smiled shyly in response to the words of her boyfriend.
"So when is the princess?"
"Depart you first. I just met Reza again" he replied.
Me and Baruna looked at each other. Our faces flushed for a moment. We turned our faces away from each other in shame. A couple in front of us watched us laugh together.
"I was excited to see these two people. From ancient times one shyly expressed feelings and the other secretly courting the other pretending not to know there is waiting," said Kak Reza still looking at us both.
"Well that's how it's dear a soul mate no one knows. Hopefully we'll be together until later." Brother Dita turned to look at Kak Reza while gently rubbing my brother's cheek.
"Are you guys really friendly. Just make me jealous" Baruna commented.
"You're officially getting engaged any minute now. Why be envious?" ask Reza astonished.
Brother Baruna glanced at me. My face was red again. I swallowed my own saliva confused as to what to say. I hurriedly switched the conversation.
"The snack is over. I'll get you again, brother," I said, then I got out of my seat.
I picked up a jar of dried food that was running out and took it to the kitchen. Reza's sister who knew me only laughed gigglingly. She was happy to tease her own sister.
I picked up a large jar of dry food that was on a shelf higher than mine. I then stood on my tiptoes to reach him. Suddenly another hand grabbed the food jar first.
"If not until you can call me," he whispered, making my fur stand.
I looked back, Brother Baruna standing behind me. He smiled so sweetly that my heart always felt faster than usual.
"Don't show me that sweet smile again, sister! I'm afraid tomorrow I'm going to have diabetes" my inner self.
"Kok quiet?" ask Brother Baruna.
"Ah no. I thought who was whispering behind me. Just make people afraid."
Baruna then grabbed the big jar and put it on the kitchen bar table.
"You got Sher's coffee?"
"There Brother. I'll get it for a second."
I stepped up to grab a jar of coffee, sugar and a cup and brewed it as I learned it yesterday at the office.
"Can you make coffee?"
"Because Mr. Reynand told me to make coffee, I can make it myself in the office" I replied.
"It was fortunate that Reynand drank the first coffee made by my future wife." Brother Baruna snorted in annoyance. He was shaking his lips.
"So much too much. My coffee is simple like this. Looky!"
"Yes, but the coffee is still out of your hands." Brother Baruna glanced at the coffee I made, "Oh yes I promised you a story about Reynand huh?'
"Well, how is it, sister?"
"Hmmm .... I'm confused where to start." Kak Baruna's face turned serious. He pulled the bar in front of him.
"Okay, I'll ask, so Mr. Reynand is that big brother?"
"Sister-in-law," he answered briefly.
I who was stirring coffee turned to look at the face of Kak Baruna. I scrunched my forehead, how could I?
"Me and him have the same father Sher."
"Omm Anton?" I half screamed in disbelief.
Brother Baruna put her index finger on my lips, "Don't be noisy! It's night." It's night."
I shut my mouth. Baruna sipped her coffee. He was silent for a moment, hesitating to explain what had happened
"Son't you promised to tell me, did you?" I convinced him to tell a story.
Brother Baruna took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, "Tante Aina is the father's ex-wife. They only had their marriage for a year."
"Why? Too bad," I commented.
Brother Baruna laughed, "Hey if they're still together, I won't be born."
"Oh yes, brother." I'm laughing too.
"They were both having an affair. Their marriage is based on the same matchmaking we are going through. They are too busy with their work. The father who was leading the company with Grandpa was indeed very busy and difficult in an uncertain economic situation."
"Then how's Aina's mother?"
"His harsh nature also made him too busy with his parents' company. He did not want to give up on taking care of his own household. But it must be admitted that his greatness in business makes Pradipta Corp into a company that is advanced as it is now. They both forget their marriage and fall in love with my mother and Reynand's stepfather. But I heard his father died not long ago."
"It's a coincidence that's a big surprise to me. It's sad, "I said.
"I haven't known too long. At first I knew Reynand when he went to the hospital when he was treated. He said who he was and asked for father's estate because he felt he had the right to be a biological child."
"I didn't expect him to be that kind of person, Brother."
"You just quit your job. Why serve such a boss? If you're married, you're home enough to take care of all my needs."
"Aren't you looking for a wife or a maid?" I smiled at you smiling.
"Wife dong."
"But it seems like those words are not appropriate."
"So?"
"Let me have a career. I know what is the priority and not. As long as we have the same vision and mission in building a household, I'm sure everything will be fine. Brother need not worry I will become like Mother Aina. Just seeing it makes me uncomfortable. Aina's mother is creepy."
"Yes if that's what you want but don't push yourself too much. I don't want to make you unhappy living with me" replied Kak Baruna.
"When have your words been so sweet?" I laugh.
"Since you opened your heart to me, Sher."
Brother Baruna looked at my face. Our faces are so close. He brought his face closer and wanted to kiss me but it didn't happen. We both turned our faces away when Reza and her boyfriend suddenly approached us in the kitchen.
"Bar, I anter Dita go home first huh. Tomorrow we'll talk again."
"OKAY. Be careful on the road. Do not speed," said Kak Baruna.
"Ready," replied Reza.
"Sher I go home first yes," Dita said as she kissed my right and left cheeks.
"Yes Brother Dita be careful. It's late at night."
"Well, I'll see ya."
My face and Baruna's are still flushed. We both got up from our seats and did other things awkwardly in the kitchen.
