The Marriage Order

The Marriage Order
Final Duties

Two days later ....

I woke up from my sleep grabbing the phone that kept ringing no stop. Then blinked my eyes repeatedly noticing the smartphone screen that kept on flashing indicating there was an incoming call. My eyes flinched in shock at the name on the screen, Mr. Reynand called out.

"Hello" I said.

"God .... What time is it now?! Why not come too?!" yelled Mr. Reynand on the phone. His loud voice made me keep the speaker phone away from my ears.

I saw the clock on the phone screen. It's Friday at ten in the morning.

"I'm not going in today sir, I'm sick" I said quietly in a slightly hoarse voice.

"illness?" His voice is low.

"Yes since yesterday I'm not feeling well" I complained.

"Don't forget to go to the doctor" he said slowly.

"I ...." Just now I wanted to answer, he turned off his phone, got me hooked.

"Aarr! I swear, this is a big man. Not finished talking and turned off!" irked me.

Suddenly my phone rings again. I quickly lifted it.

"Surely he is again!"

"Hello!" my yelling.

"Hello dear, so excited pick up the phone." Kak Baruna's voice sounded soft.

"Ma - sorry baby, I thought Mr. Reynand called me."

"What's he calling you?"

"I forgot to tell him I didn't get into the office today."

"Oh .... You still have a fever?" ask Baruna worriedly.

"It's not so. But my voice is still this hoarse."

"Want to see the doctor again?" ask Brother Baruna.

"no need. The cure is still there." I glanced at the packet of medicine lying on the sleeping light table. Just yesterday for treatment, when should you seek treatment again?

"Yes you've rested, baby. After work I stopped by. What are you bringing?"

"I don't want anything, my tongue is bitter."

"Cheal fast, baby. I love you."

"Yes dear. I love you too."

Baruna then disconnected her phone. I got out of bed to the bathroom.

A cuur!

The water from the sink started flowing. I washed my oily-looking face. Then look in the mirror for a moment, silent at the thought of Papa's words last night. He said he would mediate with Satya's family tomorrow afternoon.

Lazy? Sure oes. Having to meet people face to face seems to make me really sick. But I can't avoid Papa's words. Brother Baruna does not know Papa's plan tomorrow.

I walked out of the room into the family room. It looks like my mom is calling her friend. The television was left alive in front of him. I slammed my body on the couch. Mama who saw me took her eyes off for a while then went back to chatting on the phone.

I grabbed my phone, a message notification, from Mr. Reynand.

"I'm heading for your house."

A short, dense, clear message that made my eyes round. What's wrong with her? It suddenly caused a rush in the morning. Sontak made me call him. Not long after, he answered my call.

"I'm on my way to your house."

"What's up, sir? Why would you come here?"

"Hey there's work you need to finish today. I can't wait."

"God! What else is it? He knew I was sick. I still have to do my job?"

"What a heartless man!"

"I'm not feeling well and still have to work at home?!" my yelling.

"Why not? The project proposal for Monday's meeting has not yet been finalized. You don't want to go back to the office to work. Then how should I? If I send an email you don't necessarily work on it."

"That's Father's business. Why not find a replacement secretary from yesterday!" irked me.

"I don't want to know. I'm already on my way to your house."

Mr. Reynand turned off the phone. I bent my face and then got off the couch. The mother who saw me was just silent, confused, not knowing what happened.

I rushed to take a shower, my brain filled with anger at Mr. Reynand. He's been making me squeak all morning.

Half an hour later I heard my door knock. I opened the door and saw Mama standing in front of me.

"Son, someone's looking for you. Said he was your boss in the office."

"Yes Ma."

"Yes, he's met her. He brought a lot of food for you. Very good of him, visiting subordinates like this," said Mama with a smile.

"It's good that there's a Ma's wish."

"Gush .... Do not like to be prejudiced with others," Mama advised.

I just lifted the two corners of my lips smiling forcefully and then stepped lazily towards the living room. The mother who saw me just shook her head.

I took a deep breath looking at his face. We last met two days ago at Brother Daniel's residence. Seeing his face always made me want to punch him until he didn't dwell in front of me anymore. But another with today, she seemed to calmly hypnotize my gaze, sitting on the sofa with eyes that focused on the screen of her laptop.

"It's been a while?" my many.

"Just now" he answered briefly.

"Which task should I do?" I sat my body on the sofa.

Mr. Reynand gave me his laptop. I saw the project proposal I've been working on for half. I focused on doing that task.

"Your voice is running out" he said, hearing my hoarse voice.

I just nodded my head. My eyes are not off the laptop screen. My head feels heavy and dizzy. I forgot that I haven't had breakfast this morning.

Bi Ati came with drinks and snacks and put them on the table.

"Thank you Bi" I said slowly.

"Thank you Bi" added Mr. Reynand.

Bi Ati nodded then said, "Sheryl, don't forget to eat. My aunt cooked this morning. Poor side dish aunt on the table hasn't touched Sheryl's mom."

My head looked up at Bi Ati while smiling, "Yes dear Aunt. In a minute."

Bi Ati immediately left us who were just the two of us in the room. A silent atmosphere without words.

"You haven't eaten yet?" suddenly tanyanya.

"Yes, it's not possible. The hunted came to meet. Huh," I complained.

Mr. Reynand blurted his lips, not expecting his arrival would make me really bothered.

"Eat first. Your medicine must not be taken either. How can I concentrate on this task?" he said he suddenly cared about me.

"Tumben's fine, what's wrong?"

"Hey I only care about that proposal. Rather than later you do it carelessly because of illness, I am also the one who became difficult," he protested.

"Hah .. I have guessed, where maybe a boss like you cares about his subordinates," I said.

Mr. Reynand looked at me as he said, "Can you get rid of all your negative thoughts towards me? Today's your last day to do my job."

"Everything is clearly recorded in the brain, where it can be removed just like that!" myrag.

"It could be if you forget everything. Let's just say today is the last day we meet" he said.

I didn't answer his words. Mr. Reynand also turned his face towards the living room door leaf. I noticed her red ears. I don't know what he's thinking.
