S2 Interrogation

Me and Reza had just set foot in the living room when Papa and Mama were seen sitting there. As usual, we shook hands with both of our parents. Reza immediately walked into his room. I also want to go into my room. Suddenly, Papa called me to sit with them.

"Sheryl, sit down!"

I turned around and sat facing them. Reza kept walking, leaving the three of us.

"Sher, Papa heard from Om Anton that Baruna was conscious?"

"Yes, Pa."

"Thank God" said Mama. "Tomorrow Mama and Papa will go see him."

"Yes, we'll go there tomorrow" Papa added.

"Tomorrow I'll be there again, Pa." I said," I said with a smile.

"Sher, this morning Papa spoke to Reynand. He said you loved each other. Is that true?" Papa looked at me sharply.

The look in his eyes made me a little uncomfortable, but I couldn't lie either. There's a little interest in me if I see it.

"Maybe you mean Papa's interested?" my many.

"No, he said you loved him. So, is that right?"

I gulped like I felt cornered by his question. I nodded while breathing heavily.

Papa shook his head. His face looks disappointed. He asked again, "What about Baruna? Don't you love her?"

"Very and I don't doubt it" I replied steadily.

"Why then do you let someone else into your heart?" Papa asked back. The way he interrogated was more impressive than the way Mama initiated me.

"Not knowing."

"Papa didn't take your answer. Answer it correctly. If you are not firm then all Papa's upbringing to you has indeed been in vain."

I have to swallow again. Confused to answer. I want to get out of this room immediately.

"Because I'm being indecisive, Pa. I let him approach without a steady preparation of heart. I always look for gaps in one's imperfections and consider my actions to be above the word of truth. I'm guilty."

"Is that so? Reynand offered to help her with the company's debt just because you love each other. How think? You said yesterday that you were disappointed with the contents of the agreement. You think Baruna is not sincere to you."

Why is he so desperate to say such a thing to Papa when I have repeatedly refused his love?

I'll go into the room immediately. Sit on the edge of the bed. My mind went back to chaos. I won't let that man go any deeper into my heart. It's only Baruna I want though my heart isn't sure she'll take me back completely.

My phone's beeping. Brother Baruna called me. I immediately answered his call.

"Where are you, honey? haven't arrived yet?"

"Yes, just now."

"I'm worried about you because I haven't called. I've been missing you for a moment."

"Sorry, yeah. Tomorrow I'll visit you again. All day will accompany you. Missing again with you. Will you get bored?"

"Bored how? Even if you need to keep me company all night."

"Don't start again, huh. Rest," I said withholding laughter.

"Yes. You rest too, my dear. I love you."

"I love you too."

Baruna's sister turned off her phone. I rushed into the bathroom to clean myself up. That problem I'll think about again. At least, I've been honest with both my parents about my heart all this time.

Reynand PoVs

The next day, at 12:00

The sound of an incoming call rang out loud in my ear. The powerful vibration of the device woke me up from a beautiful dream that did not want to end soon.

I grabbed the phone from the top of the nightstand. With eyes that are still slightly closed, trying to squint vision. The smartphone screen shows Indira's name there. I pulled the screen up and lifted it up.

"Still asleep, Dir. You're disturbing my sweet dreams."

Last night I dreamed Sheryl was my wife and we already had a child named Sheeren. Is this a sign?

"What are you dreaming about, brother? The sun is already looming right over the head and Brother is still inside the mimipi? Daniel and I are in front of your apartment unit. Quickly open the door. We've been waiting for almost half an hour here" he explained, half an emotion.

"Hmm .. wait a minute!"

I got up, walked to the door and opened it. The couple stood in front of me. Their faces looked a little upset.

"For a long time .... Huh!" mooed Indira stepped in. He slammed his body on the sofa.

Daniel looked at my face flat. Indira sat on the sofa. I walked over to the kitchen bar table and made them drinks. After that, put two drinks on the table.

I sat my body on the sofa. Indira and Daniel looked at me with sharp eyes as if to judge me.

"Sister must be responsible for what Brother did to Sheryl," Indira opened the conversation.

Indira must have known from Mama.

I breathe heavily. It's not that I don't want to. He didn't give me a chance at all and chose to be with Baruna.

I actually wanted him to know. Anyone in this world would definitely not want to feel the betrayal and he would not be able to accept his fiancee anymore.

Indira and Daniel then sipped the drink in front of him slowly. Daniel got up from his seat when suddenly there was a phone coming into his phone.

"Gue to the resto for a bit, Rey," she said. He then turned to his wife, "Dir, you're here first. I'll pick you up."

Indira and I nodded together. Daniel left us. Indira was still sitting pensively on the sofa. He looked at me who was sitting next to him.

"Sister, is it okay?" His eyes looked at me pity.

"You don't need to pity me."

"Why keep going like this? I feel so guilty leaving you alone."

"Hey, don't talk about the past. I'm fine." I rubbed the top of his head.

"But it will take a long time to heal."
