Baruna's sister was busy driving her car focusing on the crowded streets of the capital. I stared at the left side of the road, as people passing by in a traditional market a little diverted my memory of the incident. What makes me think why my life didn't go as well as I wanted? Not that I am not grateful, I am very happy to be near Kak Baruna but unfortunately our journey to the beach is not as easy as imagined.
"What are you thinking?" kak Baruna asked still focused with an eye toward the highway in front of him.
"I was thinking that our path to the wedding day wasn't as easy as I imagined. Why meet such a weirdo? I mean, why did he have to like me and I insulted him until he didn't give me a chance to reconcile with him and mend our relationship."
Baruna's sister clasped my hand, the other hand was still on the steering wheel. It made me a little relieved that he was still near me at this moment.
"You can't blame the situation. Whatever the situation may be, it is because of the choices you have made. If you regret it, you are not a grateful person dear," he said.
"Ah yeah .... I was wrong and you were always right. How happy the girl you were once close to."
Brother Baruna laughed grinningly looking at my face for a while then refocused on the highway.
"You can ask Reza that. He knows best who I am from old times."
"Sir Reza never connected you with any girl. He never told a story. I can't even believe you never dated."
"Huh .... Why remember the past? Life is moving forward. The past is just history as self-learning for the future. Are you still curious about the girl who is close to me, while you will soon be my wife?"
I was silent to hear his answer. Everything he said was true. I also said the same thing when dealing with Satya. The mouth is smarter in saying, while the practice is always difficult for me to do.
"Why silence? Must be strange thinking again," said Kak Baruna.
"It's okay, baby. I don't care who that girl is. It's just part of your past.
Brother Baruna as usual ruffled my hair with his left hand. I can only stop him when he does.
"I know you deserve to be a wife and a mother."
"What do you mean?"
"Hearing what you said earlier has made me quite sure of marrying you."
"So not sure all this time?"
"No dear. It's just that I sometimes think you're still childish. You've trusted me so far."
"Hopefully he is the right person to be with me forever" I prayed in my heart.
"Where are we going now?" my many.
"Dating?"
"Who's afraid. But my clothes were dirty from the drink," I glanced at the dress on my body.
"Yes, just go home first. I've also brought clothes until later tonight in the back."
I looked at the back car seat. There is a large tote bag containing Kak Baruna's clothes.
"Perfects! You can always surprise me. So neat and so ready in every situation," my inner self.
"Hey why are you dumb?"
"You're a very prepared person in all situations" I replied.
"Yes because I can't count on anyone else. I know myself. You have a lot to learn, baby."
"You think I'm going to take the exam? This is how you love me."
Brother Baruna gave a small laugh hearing my original answer. He shook his head.
"You could have told me to learn to know you. It will go on with time, dear."
Brother Baruna pursed her lips nodding in agreement to hear my words while continuing to focus on the pace of her car. Half an hour later we arrived at my house. So quiet no one's home. I saw only Aunt Ati resting in her room. Everyone was at Nesya's wedding.
"Nobody home?"
"There's Bi Ati in the room. You just sit here first" I replied as we walked into the living room.
Baruna nodded while sitting waiting on a sofa. I left her step inside my room, changing into casual clothes, a short white T-shirt and a subordinate pair of long jeans.
My feet stepped towards the dining room, then glanced at the food menu on the dining table. The menu has not been touched since morning. My stomach that has sounded can not be invited to compromise it asking for rations since morning that has not had time to quiz.
"I'd better eat first. My stomach can recur if I leave it like this, "my mind.
Suddenly Brother Baruna came to me. He shook his head with a smile on his handsome face.
"I waited for you long in the living room and you were busy eating here."
"Sorry I'm hungry. I haven't eaten since. You will quickly take me home," I complained.
"Haha .... Tell dong that you haven't eaten. You'll be sick later."
"That's why I'm eating right now. Honey, you want to eat too?"
"I ate at the party."
"Huh cheating."
Baruna laughed then stepped on the dining chair opposite my face. He was chin-backed looking at me who was enjoying the food.
"Why see me like that? I'm embarrassed if you keep looking at me."
"Well, if I'm ashamed, I'll close my eyes. Finish your food. I won't peek. Let's just say I'm not in front of you. You are like a magnet to me. If you're far away I feel restless myself. But if it's close I don't want to part." Baruna closed her eyes in front of me.
"You're teasing me?"
"No dear, those words best represent how I feel right now. I'm not flirting." He still closed his eyes.
I try to take my eyes off but I can't. The magnet is true, I always want to be close even if only a few inches. My appetite disappeared instantly. I stood walking up to his side, smelling his forehead until he was aghast opening his eyes to look at me smiling.
"You're teasing me?" Baruna asked me the same question a few minutes ago.
"Yes I'm teasing you because you're so good at influencing my mood."
Brother Baruna stood leaning towards me, kissing my lips gently. I enjoyed every touch of her lips that intertwined with mine over and over again. Then he hugged me tightly.
"Why does a month feel like a century? I want to kidnap you right into my room and make love to you" she whispered in my ear.
"Patience darling. That's how I feel."
"Egem .... Ehem ...." Suddenly Bi Atik entered the dining room to catch us who were hugging friendly.
Me and Brother Baruna both turned their heads towards that voice. We quickly pulled ourselves away from each other's bodies and looked awkwardly at each other. Bi Ati just shook her head looking at the behavior of the two of us.
"Based on the young man" he murmured and stepped into the kitchen not far from the dining room.
We both laughed at the old woman who disappeared from our eyes.
