The Marriage Order

The Marriage Order
S2 Day One Without You (2)

Reynand PoVs

I heard Sheryl suddenly ask me to stop our wedding plans. He had just made up his mind to have a household with her, and she had the heart to say that to me. It was like being dropped from the seventh heaven and thrown suddenly onto the earth.

"You healthy?" I held my hand against her forehead, but it was not hot.

"Hey, you think I'm kidding! I–," Sheryl didn't go on with her words. A mouthful of rice and side dishes I bribed into the tiny mouth of the woman.

"Eat a lot. Looks like you should be fatter than this. I don't want people to think you're unhappy with me" I said with a smile.

"I can eat by myself" he said as he took his spoon and bribed his own food. His face looks upset.

"I won't let you go, Sher," I said smilingly.

He did not respond to my words. Focus on the food. Throwing his face as usual. Makes me half dead.

"How's my cooking?" my many.

"Enak" he answered briefly.

I smiled, then went back to eating my breakfast. Seeing him enjoy my cooking has made me this happy. What if I saw it every day when I woke up from sleep? I started to dream.

"Aren't you late for the office?" sheryl asked suddenly as she finished her meal.

"Just let. Actually I have applied for resign, but Dad refused it because Baruna has not been able to enter work," I replied.

Sheryl speechless. Suddenly, those eyes glazed over. Her tears began to fill both corners and flowed just like that.

Haish .... Why am I talking about Baruna? Sensitive will happen.

I got up, immediately washed my hands in the sink. Looking at him who was wiping away those tears.

"Here, don't cry!" I said.

"You won't understand" Sheryl said.

"Time will heal him, and I will heal your wounds." I rubbed the top of his head. However, he flinch unresponsive.

His hand grabbed the handbag on the workbench. Take a card out of my wallet and give it to me.

"I'm asking you to give this back to Baruna. I couldn't meet her, but I could only cry later" she asked.

"You'll get a replacement." I welcome the card and exchange it for mine.

"No. You keep it. I don't want to take it." Sheryl's refusal made me shrug my shoulders and put the card back in my wallet.

"What can I do to make you love me?"

"none. No one can replace him, not even you!" firmly answer.

I'm speechless. Not talking anymore. Feeling a little tight at heart. My nose has no taste at all.

"I'm ready to go to the office. I'll meet Kayla at recess."

He did not respond to my words. Still keeping his eyes down. I stepped closer. Bending down looking at the temples of his face. Raised his chin until he looked at me.

"I'll go first. Later in the afternoon we go to the doctor. I really have to make sure that what you say is true, you're not pregnant" I said, peeping her forehead.

He was silent not answering. I flipped my body out of the room towards the lobby. This heart is still a little claustrophobic seeing itself ignoring me.

I need to make more effort to open my heart.

I walked into the lobby. The atmosphere in the office lobby was already crowded with many reporters. A publicist at Kusuma Corporation was answering questions from them.

I haven't been able to walk out yet, someone suddenly called me, "Sir Reynand!"

I looked towards them. One of the reporters approached me. Directing his phone as a voice recorder.

"Sir Reynand, how's the comment on the news that's been circulating about your affair?"

"I'm not having an affair. My relationship with Kayla has been broken up for a long time. It's natural to have a new lover."

"But, Sheryl is your sister's fiancee. How's response?"

"When will your wedding be held?"

"Fastly. It will be covered."

"Is Sheryl really pregnant with your child?"

"Don't know yet. Not cheque."

"So that news is a lie?"

"of course. How could she know if she was pregnant, but had not checked it at all. Enough yes," I explained with a smile, then walked away from the crowd of reporters. While they continue to chase up to the parking area.

I don't care about those reporters. Two security guys helped me block them from getting close. Immediately, get into the steering wheel and drive my vehicle out of the Kusuma Corporation building.

I took a deep breath and threw it away. Driving at moderate speed to Dad's office. Facing the reporters was endless. They will not be satisfied with one or two questions answered.

Baruna PoVs

I opened my eyes. The morning has come. The sunlight began to penetrate through the room window. A new day has arrived. Totally new to me. Realizing her loss was a huge blow to me.

I took it off. Not giving him a chance to defend himself. My disappointment is at the limit.

My disappointment is more to him who is not honest with me. It's not because I don't accept her situation. I also said that marriage is not about that. Whether he remembers or not.

Getting married in my opinion is when I have to spend my time in this world only with people I love and really want to live with me both hard and happy. Fight together and support each other.

Never mind, maybe we are not destined to achieve a dream together. We must walk with our own destiny.

I then got out of my bed. Get in the bathroom. Maybe a morning shower can make me a little sane for some time to come.

Half an hour later, get out of the bathroom. It is neatly dressed casual with white T-shirts and smooth brown striped shorts in black.

Wh-tok-tok!

I walked to the door, opened it. Mother is standing there. Look at it with a warm smile. He went in and sat on the sofa.

"How are you feeling now?" tanyakanya.

"Still happy" I replied.

"Don't joke! Mother is serious."

"Not to think about me, Bun. I'm tired of crying. And again, I'm a man. Don't spoil me so much like a broken-up girl" I protested.

Mother held back her laughter. He looked me in the eye deeply. Makes me a little relieved. His love will not be devoured by time. As the saying goes, "Mother's affection all the time, child's affection along the pole". Hopefully I'm not among the children who have affection only along the pole.

"Bar, have you thought of Mother's suggestion for control to the outside?" ask Mommy.

"I have, but I haven't decided where I'm going. My friend who is a doctor has recommended a doctor in Kuala Lumpur" I replied.

"Friends? Doctor Mario?" ask Mother curious.

"No. He's a general practitioner, anyway. His uncle's a subspecialist doctor, but practices there."

"Who?"

"Mother remember, Nayara?" my many.

"Who?" Mother asked back. Seemed to think while remembering the name of the woman I mentioned.

"Your closest friend at school?" guess it looks doubtful.

"Yes." Yeah." I'm nodding.

Not long ago, we exchanged messages. It's not that I don't trust Mario's doctor, but I really want to recover quickly so I can get married as planned. But in fact our relationship ran aground.

I asked a lot about my condition to Nayara. Then he recommended his uncle who was a professor and a subspecialist doctor there. Makes me a little interested in control with that uncle.
