The Marriage Order

The Marriage Order
S3 I'm Home

Sheryl Pov's

What marriage am I actually having? Is it because I'm amnesiac, everything looks like it's hiding something from me? Reynand can only accuse Baruna of cheating. But he never said who the woman was. As if confirming Reynand's accusation, my attitude grew cold towards Baruna. Is he really a man like Reynand alleged to be? If the accusation is wrong, how evil am I. I don't know anything about this and enjoy Reynand's kiss that I shouldn't have to return with a big bang.

I blame myself. The shadow in the mirror was more and more showing the naive face I hated. But somehow the necklace of jewels that Baruna gave me never let me imagine coiled around the neck. The beautiful jewelry is only able to hypnotize the beautiful from the outside and can not penetrate deeper to tempt me to wear it.

"Haish! What's wrong with you, Sheryl? You're married but you're playing with the feelings of two men" I muttered last night. It was the bravest act I had done while making Reynand's feelings shatter into pieces. Evil me!

"Have you decided?" Suddenly I heard Baruna's voice. Instantly he made me turn my head and see a meaningful smile for the next time.

"I can't wear this yet" I replied.

Baruna raised her eyebrows. "What else do you think? Didn't I give you time to talk to her yesterday?"

"It's not because of that, Mom."

"Then?"

"It's about me."

"You must remember, whether or not your memory is lost, you are still my wife. I won't take seriously any more what you feel is a regret for choosing the wrong person."

The deg! Baruna's words were very encouraging. He intentionally insinuated me.

"I'm sorry if my words in the hospital made your heart hurt" I said.

Baruna looked attractive in line with her smile. "Eventually you know which one you should defend and which you should not."

"What exactly are we talking about until we get into a fight and the accident happens?" Suddenly a question slid free from my lips. This time I was really curious about the exact answer.

Baruna frowned. He stepped closer to me. "Because Reynand. Your relationship has always made me uneasy" Baruna replied quickly. His eyes are staring. My heart rumbled violently getting a rapidly changing gaze.

Baruna reached out, stroked my hair and kissed me violently. The kiss forced me to open my mouth. All I felt was a sudden fear. I didn't react at all to reply. It felt so different when Reynand did the same thing last night. So passionate and equally eager to have. Baruna then pulled herself up, looking at me coldly.

"You're like a statue" he said annoyedly and took his coat hanging near me, "your brain is really chronically damaged. Rey totally dominates your mind. Next month I'll take a leave of absence. We went on our honeymoon again. Who knew the Maldives air would make you recall the feeling of love."

I gasped for breath, unable to answer. Just stand up and flinch with a blank look. Baruna clucked in annoyance then left the room in hasty steps.

I can't believe I have no desire for Baruna at all. He's mad! Sheryl, you're really pissing your husband off!

It was not just Baruna who was angry. Reynand did so when I said I wanted to end our relationship that is not clear that Mother always emphasizes me who is cheating on her son. Yep! Finally after last night's kiss, I sure deserve to be accused like that. But I myself could never avoid Reynand. He was like a shadow that always stuck to me going everywhere.

Reynand Pov's

It's so good that he said such a thing! She really is an irresponsible woman!

Ever since my eyes opened this morning, last night's memory has been lingering. Sheryl's words last night were ringing in the ears. It really broke my feelings for the second time. I remembered our conversation again.

"Yes, I'm happy" Sheryl replied quickly, "but I intend to end it right now."

"You mean?" Both my eyes were rounding his gaze.

"I'm considering the integrity of my marriage."

"You're going back to him?"

"Maybe." Sheryl nodded, then stood up, "but for now there's no one I can trust, Rey."

"How could you think that? I've always wanted your happiness, Sher."

The daydream just froze when he heard the sound of a cell phone ringing. Mama called. I answered him immediately too.

"Hello, Ma."

"What's going on? Why don't you go to the office?"

"Lazy," I replied, glancing at the wall clock that showed ten o'clock in the morning. Because of Sheryl last night, I really wasn't excited.

"There must be something upsetting you. Sure you still want to live there?" ask Mama as if she is insinuating.

I took a long breath. "Just tell me your needs" I replied, switching the conversation. Too bad to hear him insinuate me.

"Go home! It's been more than a week since you were at your father's. Aren't you embarrassed enough to be there?"

"What's wrong with being in my own father's house?"

"Huh? Would he still allow you to be there if your intention was to destroy his favorite son's household?"

Mama and I kept insinuating each other. Now I know where my satirical ability comes from. Of course from a mother who is as hard as me.

"No. He threatened to break up." I answered Mama's question slowly.

Mama pokes small. "good. That means she still loves you and wants you to think rationally about not being someone else's wife-grabber."

"Ck!" I'm pissed off.

"Wait for what else? Quickly accompany Mom at home. Sheryl will never turn for you."

"Yes. All right, I'll pack up first."

After saying that, Mama stopped her phone. I also immediately cleaned up my things. Yep! What else am I here for? Even Sheryl doesn't trust me who wants her happiness.

A short time later, I was on the terrace with Aunt Meri and Rafael who drove me.

"Be careful, Rey. Greetings to your Mama" said Aunt Meri.

"Yes, Auntie," I said, drawing a smile at him.

"Om Rey, if you go home and see Papa Rafa please tell him that Rafael misses him."

Hearing Rafael's words, my gaze immediately widened upon him. Miris. Looks like Felicia didn't let Rafael meet with David.

"Yes, Rafa." I nodded while giving her a sweet smile.

"Rafa, don't say that to Om Rey. Papa Rafa is busy. Papa will also come here."

"Really, Grandma?" Rafa's gaze turned hopeful.

"Yes. Confident with Grandma. Let your mother call your father."

Rafael nodded. Aunty Meri and Rafael then turned back inside the house. I ruffled my waist staring at those who gradually disappeared from sight.

Finally true what Mama said, there's nothing I got here.

I immediately turned over, about to walk towards the car that I had been building the engine since. Just a few steps away, Sheryl's voice rang out to call me.

"Rey …."
