The Marriage Order
S3 Meet Baruna

Sheryl Pov's

Suddenly Livia put her glass on the table. The look in his eyes was still not off of me and Reynand. The woman seemed to be breathing out a long breath.

"I think I misjudged. I think a Reynand Alex Pradipta has changed, but it doesn't seem to be" Livia said.

Hearing Livia's words, Reynand immediately turned her eyes to Livia. His forehead was staring at him. "You mean?"

Livia gave a small grin, answering Reynand's question, "While this dinner is the request of both of my parents, I'm honestly quite interested in you. Unfortunately, you brought your brother's ex-wife."

"You knew us before?" Reynand asked back with thick black eyebrows raised.

"Who doesn't know you? Your scandal used to even make me think a thousand times to be side by side with self–"

"Get your mouth, Miss Livia!" I cut Livia's words with a nearly screaming voice.

"Jaga, huh? You can't take care of your body." Livia drew her smile, then took a sip of the wine, "women like you and men like Reynand do have to be together. You guys can't just change. Even now, they plant shares first. Child.... Hmh! You guys are such a disgusting couple."

I who was surprised to hear Livia's answer immediately put on a cold look.

Livia really pretentiously evaluated our relationship.

Reynand who heard moving her eyeballs towards me. His fingers clasped tightly as if he knew how I was feeling right now. But I don't know how Reynand feels. Maybe he felt the same. Just don't want to show it to me too much.

"Everyone is free to judge, but we won't care about anyone else's view of this relationship. Nothing's wrong as long as we love each other."

Reynand's words strongly refute Livia's words. Instantly, I smiled faintly at her defense. Reynand really made my mood change for the better.

Livia doesn't seem to care much. He put his grin back in front of us. "Alright, Rey. Hearing your defense that so exalted your abhorrent relationship, I think this matchmaking plan should stop," she said, grabbing her bag and turning her eyes to us, "in that case, I'll leave. Sheryl, take good care of your womb. May you marry soon."

I didn't say it because Livia hurriedly turned her body inching away.

I let out a long sigh, saying softly, "While I don't like his telling words, I'm still grateful that he's praying for us both to get married."

"Yes. One problem is solved" Reynand said.

I turned my head. Reynand turned to me. We looked at each other and looked softly. But that look only lasted a moment. I looked at him with a sharp look.

"You must be sorry that the beautiful woman abandoned her intentions and just left."

"You want me to catch up with him, huh?" Reynand even replied to my insinuation with a punch-up.

I quickly squeezed his fingers that had been stuck as if we were conjoined twins.

"No, and don't ever lure me to strangle you!"

Reynand laughed crisply. I frowned. However, seeing her sweet expression made the whimper on my face quickly disappear. While we were still satirizing each other and being so mocked, a waiter came to bring dinner.

In the end, we ate dinner alone. Throwing each other loving views enjoying dinner. A luxurious moment that maybe we will rarely do after this.

"You're totally out of the blue. That's right... pregnant, huh?" Reynand seemed to curl for a moment, "what made you use that bad idea when you rejected the behavioral plan to actually impregnate you?"

"Not knowing." I shook my head, "the idea just crossed because she was beautiful but had a face that was so annoying when she looked at the two of us. Then...." I kept silent hanging my words.

"Then what?" ask Reynand.

"I don't want to lose anyone I love anymore, Rey." I answered seriously. Reynand's mouth was instantly clenched. He who wanted to gulp down the mineral water in front of him, immediately put the bottle back.

"I'm not leaving you, Sheryl. I promised to fight for our relationship." Reynand stroked my cheek.

I took his hand. Close my eyes and let the smooth palm continue to move on above my cheek. I really want to enjoy it.

"What are your plans tomorrow?" Reynand switched the conversation.

I opened my eyes. My breath was soft. In my head, there was a shadow on the face of a little baby who had to be born prematurely. Unfortunately, that face could only be seen in the USG footage last time.

"It seems that because I pretended to be pregnant, I remembered my son. I haven't been to his grave in a long time. Maybe tomorrow I'll go there for a pilgrimage."

"I delivered, yes," said Reynand who immediately made my head immediately nodded his head.

The next day....

I stared blankly at a small tomb in the garden of the tomb. Guilt, regret, and of course sadness mixed into one. A feeling I've always avoided for a year. Yep. I was too scared to face a sturdy tombstone that kept reminding me of the mistake.

Here is the last bed of my son and Sheryl. A baby we haven't given a name to, but God has taken it. A long time ago happened and buried all my dreams.

Raphael sat beside me. Today I accidentally picked her up from school and took her along for a pilgrimage.

"Dad, what are we doing here?" Rafael's voice made me who was staring at him. The healthy looking innocent boy looked at me with his adorable look.

"A visit to your brother Rafa" I answered and rubbed the top of Rafael's head. The little boy was nodding though in fact I wasn't sure he understood, "he's Dad and Aunt Sheryl's son" I added, trying to explain.

While staring at the tombstone in front of him Rafael's forehead turned shriveled like a thinking adult. "Aante Sheryl?" He asked again.

"Yes. You didn't forget her, did you?"

Rafael shook his head. "I didn't forget, Dad. He congratulated me because of Dad."

"You mean?"

"Tante Sheryl congratulates Baruna for being my father."

I snorted with a wry grin that immediately adorned my face. Rafael is really an innocent child, but has a very strong memory. Because of Rafael's presence, I lied and ignored Sheryl until we kept fighting.

"Do you hate Aunt Sheryl for what she said?"

"No, Dad." Rafael nodded slowly.

"Yes. You can't hate him. She's your sister's birth mother" I said, pulling a line of smiles.

Rafael just nodded hearing it. I then sprinkled colorful flowers on the tomb. Rafael saw me do the same.

"I'm sorry, Dad. Although Papa is not a good father to you, Papa loves you very much" I said as I stroked the tombstone and kissed him.

My phone suddenly sounded. Felicia called. I immediately answered his call.

"Hello, Fel."

"Bar, where are you now? Didn't you want to pick up Rafa? Why didn't he come home?" Felicia was looking at me with her question.

"We're going to the tomb, Fel. I took him to visit my son's grave."

"Haish! What are you going there for? Why didn't you tell me first?"

"If I told you, you wouldn't allow it, would you?"

"Oh, come on. Your son is gone, Bar. Why don't you just pay attention to the living?"

"He's my son too, Fely!" I say firmly.

"Yes, okay. That little unborn baby is your son, but you have to remember, Bar, Rafa can't be out for too long or he's going to get sick from a lot of diseases out there. You know for yourself how her body is, don't you?"

I exhaled heavily. Although Rafael is well, I know how Felicia is worried about Rafael's condition.

"Yes, I know. You don't think I'm thinking about Rafa's condition, huh?"

"Yes, as a husband you should be sensitive dong, Bar. I am pregnant. Don't stress me out often because of something like this. Get Rafael home, Bar!"

Tut!

Felicia cut her phone. I looked at Rafael. "Rafa, let's go home. Your mama's already pissed."

Rafael nodded. "Yes, Dad."

Rafael stood up as I grabbed his hand. Just about to step forward, I undo my intentions. Suddenly we were unmoved, surprised to see Sheryl and Reynand standing right in front of us.

"Shery?" i said lirih. Can't believe I saw my ex-wife again after she disappeared like she was swallowed by the earth.

"Mas Baruna?" He replied saying my name with round eyes as surprised.
