Some time before Sheryl and Felicia meet ....
Reynand Pov's
Me and Baruna stared at Sheryl's departure, which was edging away from us. Baruna seemed to let out a long sigh before she finally turned her head towards me.
"Congrats..," he said, but the sentence was hanging. Baruna just stared with a flat look and a forced smile, "gue won't be able to reach it anymore" she added in a slightly restrained voice holding back an emotion that I could understand because Sheryl preferred me.
"Bar–"
"Lo doesn't have to say anything else, Rey. Actually I know for sure what I did just now would be a futile effort. My ears, eyes, and heart are sensitive enough to feel your feelings of love" Baruna said.
I look down at him. On the one hand, I can feel her looking so sad and disappointed even though she has shown her regret. But on the other hand, I feel myself and Sheryl deserve happiness because we love each other.
"I'm sorry. I know it hurts, but I love Sheryl more than anything. I can't let go of him anymore for anything. You have to accept this reality."
Baruna did not reply, but only snorted and revealed a little smile. The man who became Sheryl's past then walked over. Without Aba-aba, she suddenly hugged me. For a moment I was surprised to get his embrace. Baruna said nothing for a while. However, I can hear his voice.
"Yes, I know." Baruna whispered, then broke her embrace. The look in his eyes did not escape me as he said, "Rey, may I ask one thing for you?"
I frowned, nodding. "Say!"
"I don't want to, but since Sheryl has chosen you, I want you to promise not to make her as sad or disappointed as I did before."
I'm nodding. "That's for sure, Bar. Don't worry about it too much. I'll always look after Sheryl with all my heart."
Baruna seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. The look on his face changed showing relief. Both corners of his lips then slightly raised revealing a line of smiles.
"Yes, don't worry. I'm gonna try to forget about Sheryl."
One last sentence Baruna made my breath a little frenzied. I hugged and embraced my half-sister. "Thank you, Bar."
"Yes. I don't want to ruin the brotherly relationship between us because we both love the same woman."
I broke down the hug. "Yes. We're still one family, Bar."
Baruna nodded. I really feel relieved. We are totally at peace.
After that serious talk, I invited Baruna to join me and our Father at the table. Baruna did not refuse. He approved my invitation. Without wasting any time we left. A moment later, Father waved his hand as he saw the two of us walking hand in hand towards their table.
"Where have you been, Bar? I haven't seen you since," said Dad to Baruna who had just put her ass on the chair.
"I'm not from anywhere, Dad. Just be around the ballroom" replied Baruna.
"Is that true, Rey?" Dad asked me.
"Yes," I replied briefly then grabbed a tall glass of champagne that had just been poured by one of the maids and without hesitation immediately drank it.
"Dad was happy to see your relationship so familiar" said Dad.
"Obviously. Yeah, isn't it, Rey?" Baruna turned. Next to his eyebrows was looking up at me.
"People who like to fight also have their limits," I said flatly and turned to Mama just to be quiet and listen since we came, "Mama was silent. What is your mother thinking?" my many.
"Nothing, Rey," answered Mama and sipped her drink for a while and put it back on the table. He then turned to Baruna, "Julian said you kissed Sheryl. Is that true, Bar?"
"Mama, don't talk about it! We don't want to talk about it." I ambushed Mama who looked to be cornering Baruna.
"Tu-wait! What's the matter?!" ask the father who seemed to not understand the direction of our conversation. He then looked at Baruna with an equally sharp look like Mama, "say! Is that right, Bar?" tanyakanya.
Baruna pulled out a line of her smile. "Is something wrong, Dad? I just want to make sure he still accepts me or not."
"But you said he was just the past, right?" Father asked again, while Mama was silent waiting for Baruna's answer.
Baruna looked calm. He grabbed a glass and sipped it a little. "I still have feelings for her" Baruna replied.
Mama boughtak heard that. "You know that, Rey?!"
I nodded slowly. "I know that, Ma. However, I don't want that to be a problem anymore because Sheryl's made her choice."
Mama took a breath. "Alright, if you have such a view. Mama thinks you're both grown up and know how to behave" he said, saying to Baruna, "but Auntie wants you to forget Sheryl, Bar. Besides you're married, you can't stay in the shadow of Rey and Sheryl's relationship. You must give them happiness."
"Yes, that's right!" dad added, "you can only love your wife right now!" You sound so fiery.
"You don't deserve to say that before you look in the mirror, Anton," Mama said coldly.
"You still mad at me?" Dad's forehead shriveled.
"No. I just want you to reflect. You and your son can't love another woman when she's tied up in marriage. Baruna can't be like you," said Mama who immediately made Dad speechless.
I pulled my face, watching the ex-husband and wife sitting at the table at the moment. Just then when Sheryl and I were dancing, I saw that they were so familiar, but all of a sudden they both changed just like now. They are like characters in cat and mouse cartoon shows that often fight on television.
"I think how I feel right now is none of your business" Baruna said.
"What's Dad's business? You're already married. You already have Rafael. Your wife is pregnant with her sister Rafael. Remember that!"
Baruna did not respond. He seemed a fool with what Dad said. I, who heard, felt uncomfortable with this conversation. Anyway, we just made peace.
"Easy, Dad. We don't bother about that either. Baruna told me she'd forgotten Sheryl, too," I said immediately to their wound.
Hearing what I said, despite my dislike, Dad finally switched their conversation, "Then where's your wife now, Bar?"
"Toilet" replied Baruna briefly.
Baruna's answer surprised me. Without warning, stand up. Mama, Dad, and Baruna looked at me in wonder.
"What's up, Rey?" ask Mama wonder.
"Sheryl also went to the toilet, Ma. I don't think they can meet if it's just the two of them" concluded I who immediately became worried. I hurried to leave our table.

Sheryl Pov's
Both of Felicia's hands pulled my hair with a very strong beard. My head ached as if all the hair would be plucked due to his sudden actions. When forced, I did the same. We collided forces in the rest room that somehow felt very quiet.
Felicia growled in annoyance. "You fucking woman, Sheryl! Your presence has made my life a mess!"
"You fucking one! Don't pretend you're the victim, Fely!" sahutku yelling.
"You shouldn't go back to Indonesia!" Felicia raised her voice. With power that did not decrease in the slightest, he instead pushed until my back hit the wall of the room. I had to let go.
Instantly, I screamed in pain. My back hurts! Crazy one! What the fuck! Felicia's really mentally ill. No pregnant woman is this strong. Or am I too weak to deal with it?
